A truly memorable stay at White Mansion, the old US Ambassador's residence.
Were greeted by friendly staff with cold towels and passionfruit juice and an upgrade from a junior suite to the full suite.
The suite was massive with two double beds, a massive bathroom with two separate rooms for shower and toilet as well as his and hers sinks.
There are refillable bottles provided and a filtered water station downstairs to prevent plastic wastage.
A La Carte Breakfast provided in the cafe downstairs, I enjoyed the American breakfast with bacon and proper pork sausage twice. (rather than the chicken Frankfurts so often served at Asian Breakfasts)
Lovely pool area with a super refreshing pool which was excellent to cool down in after a long day touristing.
So easy to get around Phnom Penh, whether by foot or by the excellent Tuk Tuks ordered via Grab or Tada Apps.

I just spent 4 delightful days at the White Mansion. The building kept its old charm while offering all the modern facilities. I booked a deluxe room with a balcony and it was huge with a separate sitting area (not sure all deluxe rooms have the same setup). The grounds are impeccably maintained. It's in a quiet location, close to the Riverside. As a solo female I felt very safe walking everywhere even late at night.
The whole staff is purely wonderful, all were so kind, professional, and helpful. I had breakfast every morning in the garden, and the pool is long enough to swim laps. The food was fresh, I had dinner once and it was very reasonably priced for a hotel. They also offer a happy hour for cocktails.
It is dog friendly, and there was no problem having my dog sitting with me in the garden (always on a leash).
I highly recommend this hotel, it felt warm and inviting. Thank you to the staff! Arkoun!

A white stucco wall separates this hotel from the street penetrated by the front window of the hotel cafe and a narrow gate as a reminder of the building’s origin as an ambassadorial residence for the first US government presence here in 1950. The entrance proceeds on a narrow angled and planted pathway to the front doors where the always smiling Ruttanaa holds the door and looks for luggage he can assist with. To the right is an even narrower path that zigzags among separately raised and roofed platforms of outdoor furniture and plantings and tiny white lights at night all leading around the corner to the pool. Lots of hospitable environment in a small space.
Hotel desk staff eagerly introduced us to the hotel including a map of the city and accompanied us to our room. The spaciousness and red granite floor of the lobby interior was also found in our room. A curved black wood stair was an enjoyable climb, even to the 4th floor, every day. There’s an elevator for other times.
The restaurant has three intimate areas, one near the busy street entrance, one quiet and darkened that interconnects with the hotel and a popular garden pavilion. Breakfasts are ordered (not buffet) and delivered by Nita and the friendly staff. We discovered that the manager had briefed them all on a problematic allergy after only the first time we’d been served.

We have rarely been so spoiled. The hotel is conveniently located for the sights and the rooms are still quiet. We had a large, beautiful room with a balcony. The bathroom was also spacious. We were greeted with a welcome drink by the friendly, helpful staff. We were given a map that showed us the main sights. We could choose between four options for breakfast. There was a refill station in the foyer where we could refill the water bottles in the room.

Excellent location situation at a slightly upscale street with close proximity to eateries and walking distance to the Independent Monument, BKK area and Riverside. The breakfast served was good and Le Cafe had wide variety of F&B easily available throughout the day. Hotel employees were very friendly and courteous and the housekeeping was carried out professionally, and we were very satisfied with the clean room, bedding etc. Definitely would recommend travellers who are looking for a relaxed and quiet boutique Hotel, away from the hustle and bustle and noise. We made a great decision staying here and will definitely return.

Lovely character building, with interesting past as the old American embassy to Phnom Penh. Deep rich ebony wood is a classical theme throughout the hotel. Entrance from the street feels secluded and exclusive due to the vegetation and trees. WiFi was ok but we relied mostly on our local SIM cards. The room was very large on the 2nd floor with window to 2 sides but sadly no balcony. Equipped with a good sized in room safe and international multi plugs, the furniture was very large and suited the building but seemed to be an obstacle to bash legs and feet. The bathroom was fine but has open shower, meaning it's difficult not to soak most of the floor. Breakfast is taken in the adjacent cafe, great coffee and hands down the best fresh bread we had in Asia. The pool is fine for a refreshing dip but it's on the cooler side due to not being reached by much sun. We also had a couples aromatherapy massage which was very good and a nice way to unwind.

We stayed for three nights at the White Mansion and were extremely happy with the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful with very spacious rooms and high ceiling and enormous doors. There is a wide sweeping staircase as well as the lift and the entrance hall is beautiful. All meals are taken in the cafe, which is extremely nice and we also ate other meals there as the choice was good. The breakfast were fantastic with lots of food and plenty of choice.
Staff were extremely helpful and kind and the laundry service was excellent with everything being returned within the day. Beds were comfortable and rooms were nicely air conditioned. We didn’t make use of any of the other facilities as we had trips planned but we understand there was a choice of pool and massages etc.
We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay at White Mansion. Nice room, with an impressive ceiling height (3,50-4m). The building is in the former Embassy of the United States in Cambodia so a beautiful colonial building. The bedding is good and the bathrooms very large. The staff is always helpful and welcoming!!! Special mention to massages (royal thai for me) which is an unparalleled relaxation for about $20. The pool is not extremely deep but it is usually the case everywhere in Phnom Penh, but it is very, very long so it allows for beautiful lengths. The restaurant/breakfast (café at white mansion), is really good and it is rare to have a good croissant or chocolate bread in the morning in Phnom Penh (provided by Eric Kayser Bakery) the same mornings. Thank you to the team for their kindness.

I have just spent 15 weeks living in this great hotel on a very competative monthly rate. Situated on Street 240 just off the junction with Street 51 it's an excellent location and quiet.
This building was the former US residence of the US Ambassador. There are only just over 30 rooms in the building and essentially 3 levels of rooms. I had a 'Junior Suite' the middle level on the 3rd floor. Very large with high ceilings and a good comfortable bed.
All the staff were excellent whether management, reception, housekeeping, maintenance and security.
The water pressure could have been a little higher in the shower, but the building in general is well maintained, quiet and situated in an excellent location.
I will be back in November for a few days.

As with most good quality hotels, White Mansion allows late checkouts if you are prepared to pay. There is also a room where you can leave your luggage securely.
We had a suite which was large enough for our family (2 adults and an 11 year old). Not sure if there are specific family rooms but the staff are wonderful and would do everything to accommodate you I'm sure
