Nestled near the Royal Palace and museums, Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh has won the hearts of guests with its prime location and comfortable, modern decor that marries tradition with contemporary style. The hotel's cleanliness and well-appointed spaces receive consistent praise, as do the high-quality amenities like a luxurious spa and diverse dining options.
While views on value vary, with some guests finding the pricing steep, the attentive and warm service is universally acclaimed. Room satisfaction is high, though a few note occasional wear and street noise.

This was my first trip to Cambodia and after the thrilling journey from the airport, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. From the first warm welcome on the steps to a genuine “come and see us again” farewell, the hotel exceeded all my expectations.
The hotel is immaculate and the rooms are extremely well thought out. I was there for a week and loved it - based on the staff and the various amenities. For example, there were strategically placed USB ports and plugs which worked with a number of international plugs - something that so many hotels seem to get wrong. The room was refreshed every day and there were lots of nice touches including a supply of face masks and hand gel, bottled water and bananas on arrival. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept without any jet lag thanks to blackout curtains and near silent air conditioning.
We were warmly greeted at breakfast with excellent coffee and an array of food choices, both Asian and Western. The ambiance of the breakfast area was great and the bars on levels 2 and 14 were excellent too. The hotel allows you to choose from different menus for dinner - so it’s possible to have food from the ground floor restaurant sent up to the roof bar and so on. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
The gym is free and very well equipped. I had no problem accessing whatever I wanted to use and like the fact that I could plug my headphones in and watch tv as I ran.
I would strongly recommend this hotel and would definitely choose to stay here again.

A very good stay. Exceeded my expectations for a Hyatt Regency. Cozy reception, clean and well appointed 'social' area beyond reception combining cafe and main restaurant.
Great location, close to Riverwalk. Plenty of local food options near. Gracious staff.
Good continental options for breakfast, but local options lacking. Would have liked to see more local food options.
High integrity of cleaning staff - left expensive ear buds in conference room and staff kept them for my collection the subsequent day.
Would recommend for business and MICE.
One hiccup - still haven't received my points ( week later). Filed a report via Hyatt. Repeatedly asked the front desk whether my Hyatt loyalty had been registered and they confirmed it had.

Following my earlier experience with Park Hyatt in Siem Reap in November 2022, I did not give any thought of visiting other hotels but only Hyatt Regency for my recent trip to Phnom Penh. The exceptionally warm welcome that I received from the moment of stepping into the hotel lobby allowed me to embark upon a remarkable journey of indulgence with Hyatt-exclusive hospitality. The hotel lobby was actually inside of a French colonial building constructed over a hundred years ago. After completing the checking formalities, Ann (Guest Experience Manager) escorted me to my room and offered detailed information about various features of the hotel along the way. I was offered a courtesy upgrade to a Regency Suite, through the windows of which I could enjoy an iconic view of the Royal Palace Complex at sunrise. My suite was spacious and comfy. I was deeply satisfied with the room assignment as well as amenities set-up coordinated by Sokha (Front Office Manager) and her team with reference to my preferences and requests as previously communicated. I also had complimentary access to the Regency Club on 10/F where a selection of drinks, wines, salads and other canapés was served during 5:30-7:30pm every day. With great food and a great ambience, the Regency Club serves as a perfect venue for me to relax and recharge after a full day of sightseeing in the city. I had to send my compliments across to Eric, Yem and other associates for their professionalism in creating a truly hospitable environment for me throughout my stay which not just aligned with but overwhelmingly superseded the servicing standard Hyatt set for them. The teams at Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh were dedicated to bringing guests an unforgettable experience. Coupled with the perfect location of the hotel as well as excellent upkeep of the facilities, the Hyatt brand shall be second to nowhere else in Phnom Penh and I will definitely revisit should my travel plans bring me back at any time in the future.

This is a nice hotel, but the stand out elements are the breakfast and the staff. I have stayed here twice now, and every single member of staff without exception will greet you with a smile and a 'good morning', 'welcome back', 'have a good night'.
My room had a slightly musty smell, which I think was due to the air conditioning. The weather was very humid when I was there, and it must be difficult for the hotel to avoid this issue - it was a minor problem and only happened on this visit, it was not something I encountered on my first visit in January this year.
The breakfast is the best buffet offering I've come across, and the bread and pastries (which I believe are baked in house) are fantastic. The only niggle is that there are not enough staff in the mornings on weekdays, so if you are needing to get a quick breakfast before leaving for work (as I was) you may find yourself without a tea or coffee. The weekend breakfast experience (when I was in no rush) was much more relaxing.
The roof bar is nice with great views.
I requested a late check out when I was leaving, but was not able to secure one late enough for me (I was departing at 6pm after work). The reception staff stored my luggage and said I could use the pool changing to shower, which I was initially unimpressed with as I had not seen these facilities and imagined them to be poolside open showers! In fact there is a lovely and large private changing area with multiple shower cubicles, plenty of changing rooms, towels, toiletries and hairdryers and it was very relaxing to be able to shower and change before I left for the airport. There are also sauna and steam room facilities within the same area.
I only wish the standard rooms had baths as well as showers, as I like to have a bath in the evening. As I have only visited this hotel for work, I haven't upgraded to a room with a bath but if I was visiting for leisure I would probably do so. I really appreciate the provision of an iron and ironing board in the room.

The Hyatt Regency in Phnom Penh is an outstanding hotel that lives up to the high standards of the Regency brand. The building itself is beautiful, modern, and well-designed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Regency in Phnom Penh. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the service orientation and warmth of the staff. At every moment we were greeted with a friendly smile and offered every assistance we could wish for.
All staff members had adequate English and not only answered our questions but also generously shared details about which part of the country they were from, about Khmer food and culture, and what we should visit over our stay.
Our check in was completed swiftly and our bags were taken to our room while we were shown to the club lounge to enjoy refreshments after our long trip.
Our room was spacious with a large walk in closet where we could keep luggage out of sight, a large sleeping / sitting area, and a huge bathroom with walk in shower, bath tub and double sinks and all the amenities we could need. We were a party of three and even with an extra bed there was ample room. The bed, linens and pillows were very comfortable, the room was cool and quiet, and we slept very well.
The gym is open 24 hours and is very well equipped for all workout preferences. The pool area was spacious and it was never crowded while we were there and offered enough room for each party to have space to relax and enjoy the great weather. We enjoyed a relaxing circuit in the spa with steam room, jacuzzi and salt inhalation chambers.
Breakfast was a generous buffet offering both Asian and western dishes, and excellent coffee and juices. We also enjoyed some good snacks / meals at the pool, and drinks in the Five Five rooftop bar - and all were reasonably priced and of good quality.
The lounge became a welcome stop for us in the evenings after busy days visiting Phnom Penh and we enjoyed the unrivaled hospitality shown by Yem and Mai Mai. They quickly observed our beverages of choice and proactively served us, while also inviting us to enjoy the savory and sweet snacks, and ensured we had everything we needed to relax and unwind.
We would highly recommend the Hyatt Regency for business or pleasure trips to Phnom Penh. It is a very comfortable hotel with all the conveniences one would expect, and a hospitable and welcoming staff that set it apart and make the time spent there special and memorable.

We had a Deluxe King room with palace view. Room was great, spacious with extra space for a chaise lounge and armchair. Bathroom area was large enough (but no bath tub, and could do with some more rails for hand towels). Loved that they now have larger bottles of shampoo etc fixed to the wall of shower room (instead of less environmentally friendly travel size bottles). Aircon didn’t work as well, but was ok after a bit of fiddling.
Location of hotel couldn’t be better. Very close walk to riverside (8 min walk to Eric Kayser patisserie for breakfast), and close to palace. Had a couple of cafes on the same street, and close to a great French bistro (Pepe) which is 5 min on foot. We didn’t try the restaurants in the hotel but they all look pretty good. They had a rooftop bar but closes at 11pm so we missed seeing it.
Service was wonderful. The front desk staff and concierge team were helpful and friendly, and wasn’t over-imposing, letting guests enjoy the place themselves.
Very easy to get tuk tuks to and from hotel.
Will definitely stay there next time.

I’ve stayed in many Hyatts around the world and I’ve gotta say, this place does not feel like a Regency. It can easily pass as a Park Hyatt with the historical building front and the exceptionally professional team.
Ann from the front desk was really understanding of our situation and ensure that everything went smoothly on the day of check in. She arranged a courtesy room until our connecting rooms were ready and personally dropped off the keys and made helped with moving out luggage. I felt like I was checking in to a resort and not a business hotel.
Sotheary was super nice and always genuinely friendly every morning during breakfast and whenever we saw her throughout the day. She was helpful with informing us of different activities during our stay.
The level of hospitality was consistently exceptional through out the whole property. The regency club, although was lacking food options compared to other clubs, had staff that made the most of what they had. They were extremely attentive and ensure that all the guests were enjoying their stay.

From the moment you arrive there is peace…the hotel is not freezing cold inside like many Asian hotels. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, have take away coffee cups (so no issue with hygiene). Even the food is reasonably priced for an upmarket hotel. Shower function good (although floor very slippery)…location close to tourist sites and the river. Maybe the best feature however is the staff - always willing to help. There is also a spa close by (Sophia spa) that is also good.

Built around a historic villa this hotel combines both, a quaint atmosphere in the lobby and other common areas, with the most modern hotel facilities in the rooms.
The hotel is spotless, cleaning personnel is always wandering around the corridors making sure everything is perfectly in order.
The staff is professional and extremely friendly. They remember your name, and always welcome you with a smile. It should be the norm in hospitality but I've been in my fair share of places where that wasn't the case, and just those little things turn the hotel into a home and a place you look forward to return to.
Location wise, one couldn't ask for more. If you are in town for tourism it is right across the street from the National Museum and the Royal Palace and walking distance from many attractions (Mekong cruises, restaurants, Phnom Wat, Old Market, Night Market you name it). If in town for business, the ministries are all around there and so are many of the businesses.
