Detailed Reviews
I have stayed with Sadie, John and Noreen at the Boulevard eight times since 2005. During those many visits to Ireland, I have also stayed at numerous guest houses and hotels in other parts of Ireland. None can compare to this trio of good-humored, kind and generous hosts and the Boulevard.
I feel fortunate to have found them that first time in 2005. Since then, we have grown as close as family. I cannot pen a review that will do them and their lovely accommodation justice. Suffice it to say that you will not find a more memorable, warm and truly comfortable accommodation in Ireland.
Sadie, John and Noreen, thank you for your bounteous hospitality, friendship, and of course, laughs. There is no better way to experience all that Westport and the surrounding area has to offer than a stay at the Boulevard.
See you in 2019!

I had read the read the reviews online beforehand, so I knew overbooking was a possibility and it did happen to me. I had asked for an airport transfer from the hotel, so my driver took me to Boulevard Guest House. At the check-in desk, my driver had a long conversation with the girl behind the desk (all in Azeri, which I do not understand), and then my driver motioned for me to follow him back out and he led me to another hotel about a 10-minute walk away (in the rain, at night).
At the other hotel, the front desk clerk told me that my original hotel was full and they moved me to a different location. It was not affiliated with the Boulevard Guest House, so they made me a new reservation at a rate higher than my original booking, and demanded payment in cash right away. I said that I would pay for the first night only, since I had only changed a limited amount of money at the airport and didn't have enough. They were not happy about that, but eventually agreed, but said that I had to pay the remainder before check-out time the next day. Also, my driver was asking to be paid in cash immediately, since we were in a different hotel and they could not add his fee to the bill. It was total mayhem.
The next morning when I asked the front desk how much more in cash I was going to owe (credit cards aren't really welcome in Baku, probably due to fees they get charged), he told me to hold off payment, as they had received a call from the owner of Boulevard Guest House and that he wanted to meet with me. So on the third day, Edwin came over, apologized for the confusion, and paid the rate difference between Boulevard Guest House and my new hotel, so it all worked out in the end. Edwin was great, and it really was not a big deal to switch hotels, but I wish Boulevard Guest House had explained the situation to the new hotel with more clarity, so I didn't have such a confusing first night in Baku. If this happens to you, insist that Boulevard Guest House clarify the payment and rate with the new hotel before walking over there!

BEWARE!!!
This "guest house" will only accomodate You,if the price is favorable to them.
I've got booking 3 months in advance for 100 EUR for 3 nights.
They confirmed that the reservation is secured(Rashat).
But when I arrived in this place at 6:00 PM on Friday-June 24
they said that there is no reservation !!!
The room was offered for 1500 EUR-15 times more!!!
I thing that this is FRAUD!!!

I echo other reviews here in suggesting you book the room right next to the reception area--it's enormous, with a sitting room, fridge and lovely ensuite bathroom--all for a very low price. The staff is very helpful--their English varies in quality from excellent to barely comprehensible--and they can get you to and from the airport and thus avoid Azeri shark taxis. Located near the main pedestrian area, and outside the Old City, which is perfect--the Old City is frankly a quite boring rip-off full of people hustling you, while the rest of Baku is much friendlier, and the pedestrian centre has a nice buzz.

I had the room right next to the reception area. It was spacious and had all the amenities I needed....plenty of hot water and clean sheets, floors etc.
The guest house is on the second floor of a building so it would have been hard to find if I was looking for it on my own.. Fortunately I had someone from the hotel pick me up at the airport as I arrived later in the evening. Well worth the 25 Manat charge as the young man took me right to reception and also helped me find an ATM in Freedom Square right after arrival. Plus I avoided the taxi haggle.
All the workers there were awesome, especially Edwin who was very helpful by helping me plan out my 2 days in Baku with transportation options, great restaurant suggestions etc.
A very pleasant stay and I would definitely return there if I come back another time.

Located right in the heart of the city, the Boulevard Guest House was the perfect place for me and a friend to stay while playing a tennis tournament in Baku. The staff were really friendly and looked after us extremely well! They spoke good English and booked taxis, recommended things to do, places to eat and were available 24/7.
The room we stayed in included a lounge area and was very spacious. I would definitely stay back at the guest-house hotel. Thank you very much!!
