Hubby and I stayed here 3 nights as part of a tour. Our room, 214, was in the very back corner with no view of the beautiful courtyard. Room amenities were better 2nd and 3rd nights…bathrobes, additional bottled water, more soap and shampoos, and additional towels were all provided. Shower/tub in this room had a design flaw and water seeped out the bottom of the glass door and made a big mess on the bathroom floor each time it was used. We used our extra towels to soak up the standing water. Breakfast was okay. Would have been better if food supposed to be served hot, was hot. Location of hotel was very close to the gate into the old city and within walking distance of restaurants, shops. We used the hotel laundry service and clothes arrived back sooner than estimated. Wifi was good. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Also, there is a money exchange and an ATM nearby.

Great location in the old city right by the walls and within easy walking disgrace of all of Baku's many attractions. Thy also organised both our airport pick up and return and all went very smoothly for a very reasonable charge. Room was comfortable with a small balcony that got afternoon sun. Breakfast was a large buffet style on the rooftop with great views. The only downside to our stay was that twice, at 1600, our room was not cleaned and as we take a siesta we needed a cleaned room by that hour which is not unreasonable. In fairness to them when we called reception they sent someone immediately.

The hotel is located inside the old city, you can walk inside, quickly walk to the embankment and in the other direction - to the fountain square and pedestrian quarters. All attractions are within walking distance. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cons: reconstruction took place a long time ago. Pretentious furniture with peeling gold. Mold on bathroom tiles. The room is cold and the bathroom is also damp, the water is constantly gurgling. At the entrance to the room there is no closet or even hooks for outerwear. The beds have no table or wall lamps, you have to go to bed in complete darkness, and you can’t read before bed. But the worst thing is the breakfast. It ends at 10, which is 9 Moscow time, but in the last half hour there is no more omelet. The sausages are gray, the eggs are overcooked, the cottage cheese is either salty or sweet. And, if you remember what it is, BOILER coffee and even tea. For young people, this means that tea and coffee are brewed in advance in huge bucket-type containers and they stand in this form and are heated for the entire three hours of breakfast and poured into cups from taps. Indistinguishable in taste and color, black and bitter. In short, you can't have breakfast here at all.

We chose this hotel because of the location and ancient look of the hotel.

Very accesible, close to main tourist spots in Baku and lot of restaurants option nearby.

The room was okay, but the washroom was smelly. Sign of some works needed to fix it. Only 1 thin pillow was provided that made uncomfortable when sleeping.

The lady who did the cleaning was very welcoming even she cant speak english she kept smiling.

The restaurant has a great view both morning and night. The breakfast was just okay. We went twice for few drinks at night and Etibar was there. He was so attentive and very polite. We had a bit of challenge when talking but he kept his smile on his face.

Check-in was done fast by reception staff Ms. Gunay, very professional way dealing with smile, explained us all the facilities available in the hotel, also guided us about the city tours, due to her information we booked city tour with the hotel guide Mr. Ali who is very polite and driving safely. All staff seen very nice in Front office, Concierge , Housekeeping and F&B services.
Mist Restaurant we were having breakfast daily for 5 days, control access to the hotel therefore we felt safety in the room, Bath tub is higher from the floor which may cause falling while coming out from the tub, we request management to review bath tub and drain issue under the bath tub to avoid any incident.
Location is near to maximum parks, shopping, restaurants, especially one Museum at the distance of 50 meters which is the best to see with Museum guide Ms. Eman.

Location wise you cannot fault this, it’s right in the old city, and walking distance to many sights and points of interest.
The hotel courtyard is impressive looking but for me that’s about where it ended.
I was given a room which wasn’t easy to find at first! Beginning with a 4 you’d think 4th floor but it was in fact 3rd floor , elevator, along a balcony with interior facing rooms, down some steps, up a flight of stairs and along a corridor. Not handy with luggage.
The room itself was basic. Way too warm. The air conditioning wasn’t working (or just was turned off completely as it was February) but the radiator was on full and the room was uncomfortably warm. I was told to keep the balcony door open at night to help cool it down. As a female traveler on my own this didn’t feel very safe.
For a couple of nights this hotel is perfectly fine, and the location is what really saves it.

The location is very nice, you are literally by the main gates of the Old City. But the hotel is very tired. Bathroom needs an urgent renovation. Towels are very old, thorn and should be changed. The water was leaking out and flooding the floor when showering. The bathroom tiles are full of mould, and the shower head is just leaking. The standard room I have got was literally with a small tiny window behind the closet...so dark..my fault I didnt check before. On a positive note - a small fruit basket was placed upon check-in. The breakfast was good, but they have to do something about the staff. All of them were ignoring guests, and openly playing on their phones!!!. That's absolutely not ok. I was never greeted, offered any assistance, not even eye contact, as all of them were busy on the phones, or just roaming around. The view from breakfast venue is beautiful though. The reception team is super helpful, speaks good English and was very polite and accommodating.
I wouldn't stay there unless it's renovated or at least kept at an appropriate level for a decent hotel which they could actually be.
You can stay there if you really need a central location and don't care about comfort much.

Plus there is water in the room, which is replenished every day. There is no ventilation in the room, the smell of dampness is worth closing the window. The floors in the room were never cleaned in 5 days, even after contacting the administrator with this question. They gave out a robe after the request. The hotel is good for an excursion see the interior. Excellent location. But I won’t stay there again and I don’t recommend it.

Reserved a room and paid in full 10 months in advance. On arrival was told they had cancelled my room as they could get more money during peak dates (formula 1) but had never bothered to email me and not refunded my money. I was told this was not their problem by the very rude staff and the other guests they had done the same thing to early that day left to another hotel. Happy we didn’t stay- the hotel smells like sewage.

The most terrible hotel I've ever stayed in. The only advantages are the location and the interior.
I'll start with check-in.
It turned out that the hotel room booked and paid for for two was for one. We were categorically told that we had to pay extra for the second person, despite the voucher presented. As a result, we agreed on a deposit while the problem is being resolved, and we must solve it ourselves.
Two days of clarification by phone ended with the return of the deposit, but the mood of the stay was ruined.
Breakfast.
This is the first hotel where we did not have breakfast.
The waiters run around stupidly, they constantly run out of cutlery and cups. Cups will be brought, tea is running out, etc.
There are no desserts at all
Bread - one type - factory loaf of yesterday's freshness
On the morning of March 8th there was no hint of a holiday.
Number
The room is cold
There are no Russian TV channels (and this is, like, a friendly country)
The staff is unfriendly and incompetent
