When booking in at the hotel they messaged us through booking.com to offer us an airport shuttle which was really helpful when we hadn't been to Vietnam before.
When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist sat down with us and went through key areas nearby and answered all our questions around Hanoi.
This is the first time a hotel has done this and was excellent service!
Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Room was in good shape, really clean and tidy, bed comfortable, plugs in good locations, decent channels on TV, good aircon.
The porter showed us where a cheap laundry service was (we paid around £6 for 4.5kg of washing) and was dried and folded when we came back in 6 hours.
They arranged a scooter for us to use which cost £5 for 24 hours which was ready in 15 mins.
Arranged a private bus (she rang round multiple companies to try and sort) for our trip to Ba Be Lake.
Arranged a boat tour to halong Bay for us and when the company they usually used were full they organised another one for us.
All in all fantastic service from this hotel with a good room.

We stayed in the Hang ga location twice during our one week stay in the picturesque country of Vietnam. Not only is it easy on the pocket, but provides a scenic view in an otherwise cramped, overpopulated Old Quarter area. Make sure you request a stay on the fifth floor or above to experience the view. Their breakfast buffet is a splendid mix between both regional and international cuisines, be it Vietnamese or American, the food will satiate your taste buds making you want more. On our first visit, we were provided a physical map of Old Quarter to experience th culinary and tourist delights the region has to offer, the receptionist was kind enough to attend to all of our queries with persistent patience, which reduced our time spent on searching for tourist spots. They also offered us a airport transfer at the Grab (SEA Uber) price, which is unheard of in a region where prices are inflated due to high tourist demand. Overall, as a honeymoon couple we HIGHLY Recommend this hotel for Hanoi Old Quarter stay.

My partner and I stayed in this hotel twice during 2 visits to Hanoi.

The second visit was not planned but we were relocated by another hotel that we booked with (because they were having some building work done.)

We have stayed in both the regular double room and the balcony room. Both feature comfortable beds, good AC, well laid out bathrooms and acceptable quality amenities.

The balcony room offers a view over the street and nearby buildings, but is only big enough to stand on, no furniture and 2 people would be a push to fit. Point to note, the balcony room on the first floor is quite noisy, you can hear the reception phone when the door is closed. We were originally placed in this room but the staff moved us upon request.

Breakfast is served on the ground floor in a dining room. The majority of the breakfast is buffet, with eggs and noodles to order. The buffet catered to Asian and Western tastes and was kept fresh and tidy. I was impressed by the range on offer.

My partner ordered eggs most days and the only real negative point was the waiting time. Some times you would have your eggs in a couple of minutes, and others it might take 15 minutes, with no apparent correlation to how busy it was.

One of the biggest disappointments was upon checking out having one member of a staff (who I think was a manager) try and rush me to leave a 5 star review whilst waiting for our Grab. I have no issue with being asked to leave a review, but when the staff member in question uses my phone to select the hotel in question and proceed to select the 5 star score it leads me to wonder how many other reviews are truly an accurate reflection of the customers experience.

We stayed here for just 1 night but very early check-in (06.00am), staff are very helpful and prompt response to our questions during booking and requested.

During our stay staff again very helpful recommend places to go where to eat including transportation assist.

Room are clean, BF great, easy to go around Hanoi, we have 0 complaint about this hotel.

After we left, we forgot some money in hotel safe box, once again staff very helpful transferred money back to our account.

Highly recommend, 5 Star with big thank you from us. We will back there for sure.

❤️❤️❤️

We booked a Hanoi Heritage Hotel for 2 nights. Just prior to arrival they contacted us to say they were closed for repairs but moved us to a sister hotel and provided a free upgrade so we stayed in a top quality room on top floor with private balcony overlooking the street. This allowed us premier viewing of the marvelous thunder and lightening storm on our first night! Everything was top quality in the room and ensuite. Very good breakfast. Right in the old quarter and also close to the lake.

Rooms are small and narrow. Finding a place to open your luggage with be difficult. Humidity is high and there are windows that open into the hotel, not to the outside which is good and bad. Breakfast is decent. They will charge you extra for everything. Credit card fees even though the booking sites makes no mention. Don’t do currency exchange here as the rate is just crazy ridiculous. About $12 US per $100 loss.
Now I’ve traveled a lot and this is my first issue with the snack bar. They purposely confuse, do not replenish the ‘free’ water and are quick to charge you extra for the premium water. I took all the ‘premium ‘ water and put it to the side. On check out I could not believe they tried to change again. Twice in 5 days . I kept asking them to replenish the free water- it was eventually done with a charge. The water used was from CircleK but they tried to charge for it. I have no problems paying what is not a lot of money, but do not like to feel cheated.
Quaint and cheap often crosses grey areas and not in a good way.
The pictures on line are not representative and just good photography. Pay though your booking site and avoid extra fees. Watch the charges and dispute anything that was ‘added’.
Better yet, find another hotel !

This Hotel is very well located and within walking distance to a lot of the attractions you may want to visit. There are also a lot of restaurants around. The Hotel rooms are also very clean.
The wooden floors help keep the dust down. However there was a few issues with our stay that made me not want to recommend this Hotel.
Firstly our booking via email was a complete mess, the booking was lost and I needed to reconfirm the booking later on. They had no record of our booking even after talking all of my details previously. This was resolved by the staff booking us in at a different branch of the Hotel group. Not so much of an issue except we where not told so a bit of a mix up when we arrived at the hotel.
We also asked for a Hotel airport pickup service. However on arrival we saw no one to pick us up. It was only after two phone calls to the Hotel that we resolved this issue but it required a lot of waiting on our side. The Hotel staff where generally pretty helpful and nice when we needed anything and they did do there best to help out with our issues.
One thing that I did notice as a light sleeper, the walls/floors are very thin. I could hear my upstairs people walking around/opening doors etc. Not really a fault of the Hotel or the guests but something to keep in mind if you are a light sleeper.

This hotel is located right in the heart of Old Town. The rooms are small, clean and decent for the price. Breakfast was nothing special, but free so you can't complain. We stayed here for 1 night before getting picked up to go to Sapa. We also stayed here again for 2 nights after returning from Sapa 3 days later.

Our first night, we were on the 4th floor and it smelled of mold. There are no windows on floor 2, 3, 4 & 5 if I remember correctly. When I say windows I mean windows to open in the hallway or rooms to get fresh air from outside. The buildings are built right next to each other so u can't have windows on these lower floors. The windows in the rooms just open to the hallway open space.

On our second stay we knew this so we asked for a higher floor. We were put on the 7th floor which had windows so it was much better. You can still smell the mold but at least you had some air.

I'm not sure why there are so many 5 start ratings for this hotel. If we didnt book a non-refundable room in advance I would've canceled and booked somewhere else. If you're on a budget and aren't staying long it's fine.

The hotel was extremely accommodating and helped us with booking good bars, arranging transport to the airport. Even the room service was on time and the breakfast was well prepared for an early 6:30 am tour. The location is close to train street, good bars, and shopping areas and it’s a bit busy outside but you don’t hear much in the room.

This hotel is spotless clean and beautiful. The people are so sweet and helpful at all times in all areas. The bed was as comfortable as I could have ever wanted. The price was so cheap I couldn't believe it. The location is perfect I walked to everything especially the sightseeing tour bus and all of the sites nearby are easy to walk to. The breakfast is amazing and included I can't say enough good about this place just wonderful great stay
