Nestled near key attractions and lakes, Pan Pacific Hanoi garners praise for its prime location, although accessibility to some major spots can be a concern for a few guests. The hotel's atmosphere is widely celebrated for its elegance, complete with stunning views and tasteful decor. Spacious and well-maintained rooms with beautiful vistas earn high marks, as do the hotel's amenities, which include a club lounge and excellent dining options, despite some calls for renovation. The attentive service and clean environment contribute to the overall positive experience, offering good value, though the breakfast buffet may be considered slightly overpriced by some.

We stayed at Pan Pacific for our last night in Hanoi in a Premier Lake View room on the 8th floor and enjoyed a fabulous view of West Lake. We'd already spent a week in the Old Quarter and wanted a hotel with spa and pool facilities for relaxing and that could offer a late checkout due to a 11.30pm flight home. The Guest Relations manager, Tracy Tran, was friendly, helpful and attentive in responding to my special requests and generous in offering a 3pm checkout. Our room was very comfortable and nicely furbished. We enjoyed the hotel's large indoor-style pool (plenty of seating and room to do laps) and made use of the spa and sauna facilities. Housekeeping and room service were quick to respond and the concierge staff were very helpful and efficient in organising our airport transfers. We found the hotel staff in general to be very good. We opted for the wine/chocolates and buffet breakfast inclusions when booking and thought overall the hotel was great value. Would definitely recommend.

I believe the hotel has been renovated, cause the reception area, lobby and the restaurants were very well furnished. Whereas the rooms we stayed at were partly renovated. The beds were narrow and not so much comfortable. The bathroom was one of a kind! There was a drain way just by the bathtub and as soon as you turn on the water, it started evacuating the water from there. It was unbelievable! The similar thing was with the sink. As you turn on the tap, there was a sound of water evacuating down the sink and it lasted a while even after you close it. We made a joke about it, it sounded as if there was a lady sitting below the sink with a bucket in her hand and each time you open the tap she was ready to collect the excess water coming from the sink. I asked my friends who stayed in different rooms and they told me that it was the same in their rooms as well. It was really a big minus for such a hotel!! We were a group of 36 people and every single room had the same problem.
The breakfast buffet was nice, clean and full with variety of foods. We also tried the snack menu at the lobby and they were delicious.
The concierge team at the hotel is the best value for the hotel! They were so helpful, professional and equipped. Especially a young gentleman named Vu helped us big time about our dinner reservations in another restaurant. 5 stars to the concierge team!!
I didn't have much time to spend in the city so i can not really say if it has the best location or not.

During my first visit to Hanoi I stayed in a hotel around Old Quarter and the night noise chased me away - I switched to Pan Pacific hotel the next day. The rate was higher but I didn't want to risk another sleepless night (I was on my business trip). The location of Pan Pacific is not so central but if you have time you can easily reach some nice spots, just across the bridge. Anyway, Uber costs less than 3 EUR to reach the Old Quarter so why bother ;) The hotel is nice and modern, rooms are spacious and if you have the option, I suggest you go for the "lake view" room - the views are fantastic. The restaurant (breakfast) was great, I also had the chance to try the massage and I was really satisfied with the price performance (allthough you can get street massages for much less money of course). You can search my blog for more details (link in bio, search for Pan Pacific), where you can also find a short post about things to do in Hanoi. I am visiting the city again in April and I will probably stay in this hotel again.

The staff is extremely polite and knowledgable, making any effort to have you a satisfied guest.
The location is nice, close to the West Lake and a 10 min ride far from the old city center (about 60k VND).
Rooms are very clean and it’s worth to have a high floor room facing the lake.
Breakfast is fantastic and also the evening buffet at 30 US$ is an excellent option.
We do not recommend the Club upgrade in case you want to eat there as the window for food & drinks is very short, from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. Overall we had a great stay here and will return.

very very bad experince in this Covid time.. Hotel make using the covid situation to cheat the customers..very bad service..

We are one of the Whole sales Travel & Tourism, Hotel, Transport and OTA group of companies existing in many countries. Our company has dealing with pacific group of hotels since 2006 in Malaysia, Singapore and other countries. But unfortunately we had a very bad experience with your property in Hanoi. Myself was book room through online and went to property to check in. The reception request us to cancel the booking online and he had charged us more than the online price. I was informed that I m a tour operating company and requested them the agent rate. He don’t agree and told us he can offer a special rates, he also lie to us charging with out breakfast and it was included breakfast. We choosing Pan Pacific Group of hotels because it’s a trusted name in another country. But here we had seen that the staff has been lie and cheating customers in this covid situation. Every 5 star hotels assist a person to check in the room. But here after we paid the hotel and wait to show the way to go room until that the bell boy was playing mobile and reception even never mind about our service. When I asked them to show the way only he was requesting the bell boy to show us the way to lift.

The worst experience that, I told him to keep 200 USD as a deposit and morning will pay by VND. But he refuce to keep the dollar and charged me VND which I suppose to use for another expenses. He lied us that he charging the rates without breakfast. Today morning when I had collected the bill from your reception they were charged me Room SVC VND 161,350.00, what is that actually we never use any mini bar in room. We into this industry more than 18 years and tied up with around 200,000 hotels across the world. We never had this kind of bad experience from any of the hotels. We providing our customers to your group since long time back this was the worst service ever we had.

This kind of cheating shouldn’t happened again, I will report this to WTA and other departments. Your company is charging for the service but here you cheating the customers. It is really worst when cheating customers in Covid situation.

Dear ziya89, Thank you for taking the time to share your review regarding your recent stay at Pan Pacific Hanoi. We regrettably noted that your recent experience did not mark the good impression and feelings on you this time. On behalf of the hotel management, I would like to apologize for all the inconvenience you have been through. Your comments on the attitude of the personnel are indeed of great concern for us as they definitely do not reflect the quality of service our guest are usually accustomed. I would like to assure you that we will continue to conduct the necessary training to ensure that our guests receive the positive and memorable hotel experiences that we are committed to deliver. Regarding your concern about the price difference between online booking and direct booking: Unfortunately you have accidentally booked on 24th November instead of 22nd November. Since the booking was made via a third party, we are unable to change the date, but only can advise you to contact the agent to cancel the booking to avoid any penalty. Our Night Associate, in an attempt to enhance your stay by offering more premium room category with breakfast, could not explain to you clearly about the price and benefits difference between the deluxe room you booked with the Pacific Club room he offered. If he could have done this, that would be merely a moment of misunderstanding. The SVC VND 161,350.00 in the bill you saw is actually not minibar charge, but Service Charge as part of our internal distribution, which the sum price was agreed beforehand. Regarding your concern about depositing in foreign currency, we follow Ordinance on Foreign Exchange No. 28/2005/PL-UBTVQH11 of State Bank of Vietnam, and unable to take foreign currency as method of deposit. As a foreign exchange bureau, what we suggest our guest is to exchange the money to local currency to deposit or settle the payment. Thank you for sharing this review with us. Your feedback is essential in our efforts to continually improve and enhance our services and facilities. I sincerely hope that the incident did not entirely tarnish your impression of the Pan Pacific Hanoi, and you will give us a renewed opportunity of welcoming you back, where we commit to deliver a better experience. Sincerely, Andrew Kim General Manager Pan Pacific Hanoi

We had a terrible experience at this hotel. Despite being in the most expensive suite, the room was very small and smelled like mold. The entire floor smelled like mold and they had a dehumidifier in the hallway. There was no hot water at popular shower times. The WiFi in room did not work well. The staff was rude and unhelpful. The rooftop lounge smelled of fresh paint and had just been painted. It was open anyway. The gore is very old and in need of updating and renovation. It felt dated and run down. I would never stay here again.

This is an awesome hotel and as previous reviewers have said it is the staff that make it special. We enjoyed a Club Room for 5 nights and it was really great. Special mention to Sophie and Tracy who went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after - actually all the staff were fantastic.
The 17th floor has a special a la carte breakfast menu that we enjoyed every morning. The hotel is located out by West Lake and very close to the “Hop On Hop Off” bus stop (another great activity).
New Years Eve Gala Dinner was FANTASTIC!!!!! We thoroughly enjoyed the food and entertainment it was first class! Very special way to bring in 2020. Thank you to all the staff that made this experience unforgettable.

I was on the club level due to a double upgrade from my AMEX Platinum Card with a fantastic view of West Lake. The lounge up there served breakfast, tea, and a cocktail/food buffet for a couple of hours, but was open all day, the cocktail buffet easily could substitute for dinner as it was really varied and there was a lot of delicious stuff. Why I decided to write this review is not the extraordinary room, the view, the AMAZING bathroom—a toilet cabine, full giant tub, and a separate shower, you name it, it was there. Why I decided to write this review is I had a problem, a complaint and the way they dealt with it was what makes this a truly 5 star property and I’ve stayed in them all over the world. I won’t go into what exactly happened but I complained about something at the front desk at slightly before midnight and DEMANDED, in the ugliest American way, I’m ashamed to say, that the manager contact me by 12pm the next day, or else... yes my a-hole side truly emerged. Anyway, the next morning at breakfast, which is friggin’ fantastic by the way, at about 8am, Vu Duy Tien, a manager at the hotel found me at my table. My concern was taken extremely seriously and I was offered, though didn’t really request, a couple of very generous concessions that way than made up for my issue. Even 5 star properties make mistakes; it’s how they handle them that decides whether they keep the 5 stars or are in a different lesser level. The Pan Pacific Hanoi is a true exquisite 5 star property. I had come to the Pan Pacific from another Hanoi “5 star” property The Apricot Hotel on Hoan Kiem Lake and was shown, in succession, to two rooms, one after another, that people had obviously been smoking in before I finally accepted a room on another floor that did not smell like smoke. I’m sorry to say and it is not my intent to denigrate any other place but notwithstanding the Apricot’s rating and the sheer beauty of some of its art and it’s lobby which is simply glorious; it is NOT a five star property or even close as they’ve never learned the first lesson about being a a 5 star property which is what does the guest’s experience seem like through their eyes. The Pan Pacific Hanoi has learned it and practices it in spades. I will miss you Pan Pacific Hanoi and can’t wait to come back and see you. s/. William Broberg

Stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is very good, facilities and food excellent, staff very attentive and the bonus of the swimming pool
A must is the roof-top bar with views across the lakes. Was a bit cold at that height on a night when we went but the staff provided blankets which was a nice touch
Location is good - walking distance into the old quarter and if you don't fancy walking back after a long day, a taxi is extremely cheap
Would stay here again when/if we return

If you happen to visit Hanoi it is very recommended to stay at Pan Pacific Hanoi Hotel. Better if you book a club room with breakfast included and an access to the pan pacific club where you will be able to taste all the best beverages, Vietnamese coffee and tea along with Vietnamese specialties as well as international Asian dishes. I do appreciate the service provided by the team especially by Mr. Jason and Mr. Tien. They are pretty helpful and flexible in the requests you ask.

P. S. They also have an indoor pool and sauna as well as spa. I do recommend a Vietnamese massage therapy with is rather relaxing with an elbow technique.
