Akyra Manor Chiang Mai is celebrated for its spotless environs and meticulous attention to cleanliness, with guests lauding the pristine rooms and facilities. The hotel's stylish rooms, complete with high-end touches and posh bathtubs, receive accolades for their modern elegance, albeit the lighting is occasionally described as insufficient. Nestled amidst the vibrant scene of local shops and eateries, the location is well-regarded, though the bustling surroundings may lead to noise. Luxurious amenities, such as the rooftop pool and diverse breakfast offerings, are popular among guests, as is the warm service that often includes personalized care and thoughtful perks. Travelers also commend the hotel's overall value and the chic, contemporary atmosphere that defines the property.

We had the privilege of staying at Akyra Manor for 2 weeks in November/December, and also the unique situation of traveling with a young child with many food sensitivities. The staff at Akyra went over and beyond to prepare food that was suitable for my daughter. Upon our arrival at the hotel, Pam from the restaurant asked me for details regarding her strict diet, and promptly sent someone out to buy the necessary ingredients, assuring me that they would use separate cookware to prevent cross-contamination. My daughter had her delicious and diet-compliant dinner served in our room within the hour. We did some planning for all her meals for the rest of the trip, and the restaurant staff and Chef Base took care of everything. They made sure that every staff member knew the details of her dietary requirements, and that I wouldn’t have anything to worry about. Any parent with a child with allergies would know what a great help and relief this was. My daughter loved her food and was so happy to be able to eat meals at the restaurant just like the rest of us.

The food at Italics restaurant was wonderful— we would know as we ate almost every meal there for 2 weeks and loved the it every time.

After 2 weeks with the wonderful staff at a very thoughtfully designed hotel, Akyra Manor started to feel like home. We were so sad to leave. All the staff at the hotel were wonderful, but we had more opportunity to get to know Joe, Wat, Nee, Por, and Pam and Chef Base at the restaurant, and the kindest security guard at the front entrance. Our children loved being with them and their warm and attentive care made our holiday so very special.

We would go back to Chiang Mai just to stay at this hotel!

My wife and I prefer boutique properties because of the personalized service and the attention to detail, and at Akyra they exceeded our expectations. The sincerety and genuine warmth of the service is among the best we have ever experienced! Not just one individual, but the entire team went out of their way to ensure we had the best experience possible. They turned what started out as a good stay into a fantastic stay!
The location is perfect, walking distance to just about everywhere but down a quiet street . One of the biggest strong points of the property, is that their products and services are reasonably priced- enough so that we took advantage the private car service driven by the friendly Nut, laundry, airport pickup, in room dining, just to name a few. This is a big thumbs up for us, as often the small details are overpriced, and poor value. It was refreshing to receive exceptional value for money thru out our stay.
We are not big fans of the overall design of the halls and rooms, but this is just our taste and not same for everyone. To us the dark colors are not inviting, and the gravel in the bathtub area less than ideal.
In summary, the location and staff are worth flying around the world for. Thank you Oat, Mar, Joe, and all the rest, for making our time in Chiang Mai memoriable. Your smiles and service from the heart are greatly appreciated and will be remembered!

We stayed at the Akyra Manor in mid March. From the moment we were picked up at the airport we were treated like family. The staff could not do enough to help us. The room was a delight - more like a suite than a room - with every creature comfort you can imagine, including a pillow menu, a Hollywood-style make up mirror, and a divine outdoor alcove with a tub! The bar and pool area on the rooftop is lovely and clean and we really enjoyed our nightly cocktails with a view of the mountains and the beautiful glowing temple at the top. By far the most outstanding this about this wonderful boutique hotel was the restaurant! We both agreed we have never been so well fed in any hotel ever! I make it a point of always eating outside of a hotel, to get variety and also because it is usually much cheaper, but we just couldn’t help but have most of our meals at Akyra. The food really was quite spectacular, including the breakfast (included in our package), which allowed you to make two choices from the menu but also included lots of delicious extras! This hotel is a delight and I would like to thank all the lovely staff for going out of their way to make us feel special. We would love to come back one day!

This is the second time I visited akrya Chiang Mai.
We got a room facing not facing Suthep at Check-In, although the occupancy wasn't full and the time of visit. The Room we got was unpleasant to use as there was construction going on right next door and workers on the roof that were able to look into the room., whilst taking a bath outside or shower. We then requested a new room, which we got. The next room was facing Suthep but the we noticed the AirCon wasn't functioning in the Bedroom which made it impossible to sleep + noise was unbearable coming from the bars on a Friday night. We requested a room change a 10pm which lead to a worker coming in after 30min, trying to fix the AirCon, that was unsuccessful. The worker left without saying anything assuming he would come back as the problem was still there. We were left waiting without any followup from the reception, so after 30min we then called again and asked for Room change which then happened. So after 1 hour of waiting at 11pm we got a new room finally. Due to the fact the occupancy was low this she of happened straight away without letting us wait for 1 hour trying to fix something at that time which is unacceptable, when you want to go to bed after a long day. The next room was quiet and the AirCon worked. which allowed us to sleep. The room was on the 5th Floor not facing Suthep. Unfortunately this room had no view as it was facing the neighbouring building which is about 2 meters away meaning no natural sunlight and making it very claustrophobic. The living room AirCon also had a moldy smell. All in all, all rooms were bad we stayed in (Manor Suites). Furthermore Mini-Bars were not filled + Services i enjoyed last time staying in akyra were not present such Salt for the Large Bathtub and Ice and Mixers for a Cocktail in the room. We also ordered some Food from outside which couldn't be brought to the room which, wasn't the case last time. We never got any apology just offered a free shuttle back to the Airport.
I wouldn't stay here again not worth the money + the rooms have lost lots of there appeal.

As a family of four, we stayed in the superb Akyra Manor. The hotel had prepared 1 King and 1 Twin room as requested, both actually interconnected and with a nice mountain view. The design is modern and superb, black and glass dominates. The staff is extremely attentive, speaks very good English. The breakfast is fantastic, and so is the rooftop pool (actually with a glass front, see photo) and bar. The location (Nimman Area) is the only one we can recommend during CoVid - Nimman still has life in the evenings, whereas the rest of the typical tourist places are dead. And here comes the best: it happened to be my birthday during the stay, which the hotel management must have noticed from the passport copies they make upon check in; in the afternoon that day I found a greeting card from the GM plus a birthday cake. Wow!

Fantastic service, great location, and wonderful food at the on site restaurant Italics. We booked through Hyatt and although Akyra Manor is not a Hyatt property, it is affiliated through the Small Luxury Hotel program, which includes early check in, free breakfast, and upgrades upon availability. We were upgraded to one of the suites, which is located in the building with Italics. It was a bit awkward walking through a restaurant to access our elevators, but we quickly got used to it.

The definite highlight of our stay is the staff. They welcomed us with a free drink at Italics while our room was being prepared for checkin and they periodically dropped off desserts for us to enjoy. The staff always greeted us with a smile and were quick to assist with anything we needed. There was a slight mixup regarding some fees for the minibar (pro tip: if they leave alcohol and other ingredients for mixed drinks on a counter (even if it is not the minibar counter) do not assume the alcohol is free). However, the staff graciously waived the fees from this mixup at checkout, so we left with pleasant memories.

The suite itself was spacious and had tons of outlets, which was quite convenient. There is a waterfall shower and a separate shower head, as well as a huge tub in the middle of the suite. The bed was super comfortable and we slept very well the three nights we were there. The pool on the rooftop gives an amazing view of the city and cooled us off after a long and hot day of exploring.

We loved Chiang Mai and would definitely come back to the Akyra Manor!

Loved this hotel. We booked through Small Luxury Hotels of the World and were upgraded upon arrival to this huge room (# 705) that was larger than my last apartment. Big, partially outdoor stone bathtub, nice shower, comfortable bed, large private seating area, stocked bar (and fun self bartending options which changed every day), fresh fruit as a welcome gift, private outdoor patio - you can't beat it. This hotel was very quiet. We brought a white noise machine and never had to use it. Staff is wonderful. The beautiful Ya (who speaks clear and excellent English) showed us around our room and frequently answered questions about the area for us. Another female front desk staffer helped us with a big issue we had with outside laundry service, translating and making sure we got what we needed. This was a huge help to us. Hypoallergenic bed lines are available upon request - just check to make sure that's what they actually put in the room. We had to get them to switch out two down filled pillows, but they did that quickly. There's an iron and ironing board in the room, which isn't as common as it used to be. Bathroom is a little dark, even with all the lights on. Room design is chic. The hotel is in a great area of town within walking distance of some great coffee shops (head to Ristr8to) and some Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants. It's also right across the street from a hostel that has a fantastic selection of Thai, Vietnamese and Australian craft beers. The pool appears larger in the pictures online than it actually is, and there's not a lot of seating area directly in front of it, but it's a fun design and it's great to cool off after a hot day in Chiang Mai. There's a lovely view of the mountains and a couple of temples from the pool area - just serene. We loved it and wouldn't stay anywhere else when we return to Chiang Mai.

When we first arrived, we were greeted by the front desk staff that was very helpful and showed us to the room. The room we got was the Deluxe and it was one of the best beds we've ever slept on. With pillows you can choose from the pillow menu, you will be equipped with several choices to accommodate your stay. The room also comes with a bathtub and a huge bathroom area that could fit more than five people. The bathtub in the middle of the room was splendid, we enjoyed our baths there.
The breakfast was great with various of choices to choose from with various greens and proteins to choose from. The dinner there was also great we had a great time with great vibes. The location was also really convenient, situated in the middle of Chiangmai getting around was easy with bars and activities to explore just a few minutes away.

Things to improve on include the restaurant management in the dining/ breakfast area. Despite the food being splendid; however, the services might need some improvements on the speed and the willingness to come and serve. Otherwise, this would be a 10/10 experience for me.

This would be a great for a couple to explore! Recommend 10101010

We stayed at Akyra Manor to celebrate my birthday with a stay-cation in the city. The entire stay was amazing from beginning to end! The rooms were absolutely incredible. The amount of detail (such as the cocktail of the day and the oil diffusers in the room) added so much to the comfort and personalization of the hotel. The pool and rooftop area is gorgeous with an amazing view. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, the bar was closed during our stay, but we look forward to returning to try it out when they are allowed to reopen.
The rooms are so comfortable, the outdoor tub is a beautiful feature, breakfast was delicious, and all of the staff are incredibly kind and helpful for anything you need. Thank you Akyra for an amazing birthday!

Hotel is located about 15 to 20 minute walk from the old town. So it is in a backstreet. It is also pretty close to the Nimman district which has a good range of eateries, markets and modern shops.

We had arrived early and the room was not ready so spent time on the rooftop by the pool just chilling out.

Room
======
The room was clean modern with large bathroom area and comfortable bed. Similar to other reviewers. The light switches were rather cumbersome, and the lighting was overall rather Discrete rather than functional.
TV had about 20 channels that could cover basics like sports food, lifestyle and use in a variety of languages.

Staff are helpful and could refill water bottles at Reception. In addition to the two bottles that were supplied in the room every day in the way UK, US, European style plugs throughout the room, as well as a USB charging point.

Breakfast
=========
Breakfast had a good selection of bread, yoghurt, juice etc, and then an option to select 2 items from the menu.. usually had eggs Benedict, and the banana/Nutella roti.

Location
========*
Was a really good place to explore Chang Mai… Felt clean, professional and welcoming.
