The room was spacious and comfortable, with a large fridge and lots of space to put things in. We were pleasantly surprised. The room service is also excellent.
The hotel is in a residential neighborhood in an untouristed, quiet area. Close to the mall and the BTS station from which you can easily reach the city center. There is an option for a free shuttle to the mall and the station, it is very convenient and helped us.
The staff is helpful, helped us with all our requests and questions.
There are washing machines and dryers for a nominal fee. There is also a small rack on the balcony which is very convenient.
The disadvantages - you can hear other guests in the room in the corridor and in adjacent rooms. All the time there were doors beeping and even one night we heard an alarm clock and someone was in another room.
We had small cockroaches in the room coming out of the toilet drains.
The dining room is not air-conditioned, and except for the hot bar, there is no variety in the food.
We didn't use the pool, but it looks smaller than the pictures the hotel advertises.

+1
We stayed at this hotel twice during our trip to Thailand over the past month. The first time for 4 days to see Bangkok, then we flew to Phuket for 9 days, and upon returning to Bangkok we again decided to stay at this hotel for 1 day.
The first time the room was on the 5th floor, and the second time they upgraded our room for free, giving us a newer and larger room on the 7th floor.
The interior of the rooms is in black and white style. The size of the rooms is large, there is a balcony, a kettle, large mugs, tea bags, coffee.
The hotel has a swimming pool, gym and breakfast - we didn't use any of it.
One of the important advantages: there is a free shuttle from the hotel to BTS Samrong, it was very convenient to use it to get to the airport. Take Samrong and get off at Hua Mak station, here you need to change to the red line of the Airport Rail Link.
The hotel's reception is open 24 hours. There is free drinking water at the reception.

Hotel called the same morning after we checked out to let us know that they found a diamond ring in our room. We came back after 4 days up North to pick up our ring and stayed for a few more days before heading South. Everyone at this place is very pleasant, polite and honest, convenience location close to all in one shopping mall Imperial World, onsite laundry facility, clean room with warm shower, wifi, plus breakfast, close to Golden Land airport. We highly recommend.

Hotel to escape absolutely! Admittedly the Award is very affordable (20€ per night for two), but for nothing in the world I would ever set foot there again. The advert is more than misleading highlighting this type of hotel as a 5 star hotel when it is only a 2 star. Upon arrival, the smell is foul, the staff is cold and asks you to pay a deposit in cash (which is very fishy), the hotel is really seedy and is very far from everything (40min drive). I advise against it, you can find 10x better on bangkok with a welcoming and smiling staff, which is not the case here.

Basic old hotel, located not in the center. Close to the imperial center mall. Old rooms, with old furniture. Pool is located basicly on the street. Close to the BTS station, 10 minutes of walk. Recomended for mayve one or two nights. For this price is OK.

first time i have stayed here , i have a friend that lives in this apartment complex and i must say i stayed here because of him, It was a very good choice as apartment was new and clean inside and outside, large free gym and well equipped, it was a little bit out of the main tourest area of bangkok but that was not really a problem to be honest, nice quiet area good for sleeping no noise at night,

I was in Bangkok for work at Bangna so I thought this would be the best hotel to stay looking at the travelling the distance via Grab Car.
Overall the hotel is not bad, pretty clean and decent. The hotel is well kept, I guess it might be newly renovated. The staff is pretty friendly but don't expect 5 star greetings but they are quick to process whatever documents you need to check in or check out.
Note that your cab driver or taxi driver might have some issue looking for the hotel as some of the roads are closed and also the roads heading to the hotel is really small.
Walking distance to the train station isn't that bad and there are few market and a mall nearby so if you are adventurous then go to the markets nearby and get a bite...
Wifi in the hotel isn't too shabby either, I am able to work and have calls via the hotel wifi without any issues. Remote desktop works fine too ..
Have fun in the Land of Smiles...

Marigold Boutique Hotel is the worst hotel I have stayed at in all of my travels throughout the world. My boyfriend and I booked this hotel on Hotwire believing it was located near the Nana stop on the skytrain, as indicated on Hotwire, so that's where we went after our late evening flight landed. When we arrived, we simply could not find the place. Low and behold, once we went to Marigold's actual website, we discovered it was much further down the line. So, we got on the subway once again and went to the location indicated on Google, the location Marigold's website directs you to on Google. Once arriving at this location, we walked aimlessly again hoping for a glimmer of Marigold anything. Thankfully, a merciful local explained to us that we were miles away from the address written on the website. Great! After two failed subway trips and exhausted from our flight, we opted for a taxi driver.
The taxi driver was able to get us there, but once inside, reception spent 10 minutes looking for our reservation. No one could speak English well enough to explain the problem. So after another 5 minutes of searching for more answers, they called someone who spoke good enough English who then explained to us that they do not book with Hotwire. This was rather odd since we had a confirmation number and my boyfriend's credit card had been charged. Whoever was on the other line then hung up on my boyfriend, which I guess is okay, since someone needed to find our reservation. A couple minutes later, she called back and let reception check us in. Did she really find our reservation? At that point, we didn't care.
To reception's credit, it was a swift check-in once they were authorized to do so. However, once in our room, we were greeted with an overwhelming pungent chemical smell. Hurray! The perfect way to end a needless three-hour nightmare.
I will never stay here again and wanted to impart this story on other travelers concerned about the quality of this hotel. It sucks! There are far better ways to waste your money in Thailand than staying at the Marigold Boutique Hotel.

This is the first time I have travelled solo. I have had many apprehension whether I can do it successfully or not. But it was a complete success.
I had to travel solo as I was unable to get a partner. Anyway it was a good and a challenging experience.
I only booked the my air ticket and the hotel. Normally I stayed at hotel ramada.
I had to find the location of this hotel.
I had to take the help of goggle. It was close to the samrong mrt station. From the suvarnbhumi international airport I travelled by the airport link.I got down at samrong station and walked to the hotel .its 10 minutes walk.
One thing I liked the location of the hotel which is secluded and thoroughly peaceful. In fact I wanted to be away from noisy place.I was definitely impressed with the location.
The hotel room was Spacious
and comfortable. They cleant the room daily. I did not have to remind them of the same.
There are about four 7/11 shops nearby. There is a mall nearby. You certainly do some shopping and spend time fruitfully.
Now coming to the hotel staff. I may certainly say with utmost confidence that they were were amazing and good.
However I wish to mention one m/s NAMPETCH who was at reception counter. She was most wonderful and Amazingly courtesious. She was most agile and very friendly and helpful
On the whole my stay was perfectly peaceful.

Having a layover in Bangkok for 2 nights, I decided to book this hotel, to stay far away from Bangkok crowd and not too far from International airport.
The location is not adapted for travelers willing to visit Bangkok and join city center in a fast way. Consider a minimum of 40 min by Taxi to Sukhumvit area, when traffics is OK.200 - 250 Bhat rate. One hour to Kaosan Road. Anyhow there is a BTS stop quite close, I have not tested so cannot pronounce on required time to join Central Bangkok.
The hotel is located in a residential neighborhood, not directly on Sukhumvit road, which can make it difficult to find for cab drivers.
The rooms are spacious and clean, although there was some light dirts on linens, let’s not be too picky. Always prefer pool view than street view if you have the opportunity to choose.
Nevertheless
I had an very bad experience at check out time.
The reception crew asked me for an overcharge of 300 bhats because “there was dirt on a towel”. I am attaching picture so everyone can see what we are talking about. After 15 mins of talk where they called management (!!!) to ask confirmation of this, I finally decided to pay in order not to miss my plane. Impossible to have a talk with management afterwards by phone to report.
We talk here not about money, but about principles and respect. An hotel has anyhow to cleans towels after use. Should the previous guest also prepare the bed for the next one, in an hotel of this category ? Crazy.
In 15 years of intensive travels for work, with more than 200 nights / year in hotel rooms, this is the first time this happens to me.
Although helpless, I am not complaining about the young reception crew that applied rules fixed to them. But this remains so far away from the reputed Thai hospitality that we appreciate so much.
I do not recommend this place to my closest friends neither to my colleagues travelling for business or leasure, moving forward.
