This Hilton property has to be the best one we've visited in years. Starting with excellent location, a short walk from Sukhumvit Road and 2 BTS stations. The check in process was like meeting an old friend - the check in agent Just was absolutely impressive, with a flawless and breezy presentation, never missed a step or piece of information, acknowledging Elite Status, managing the admin part, while maintaining a friendly demeanor. The room was superb, spacious, clean, airy and quiet. Excellent AC and fast WiFi. As others have noted, the breakfast buffet is something to behold, an incredible variety of high quality, both traditional as well as Western options. Ms Film is incredibly welcoming and helpful. The manager, Patty is unbelievably thoughtful and observant, just an amazing service, even took her own initiative to prepare the last day boxed breakfast, remembering dietary restrictions - unreal! Mr Sanan is also like a friend, endless energy and smiles. What made this a special stay for us was the mind boggling attention we received from 2 front managers, Mr Sam (Samrat) and Mr Jumper, who coordinated a dinner for our special occasion, then stayed way after their work hours to ensure it all goes well, worked in the back with their world class Head Chef Jom (more a magician, then a chef - watch out for Jom, he will likely have his own cooking show or a channel!) to prepare an unforgettable meal and waited until late evening, never letting anything to a chance. Ms Meaw as the evening hostess did her gracious part to complete the experience. This approach and treatment you can get only from your own family and you don't expect it at a hotel. We can only wish that the notion of hospitality and service has the same meaning at US hotels (sadly it is often on the other end of the spectrum). There is no way I can think of any other property to stay next time in Bangkok - Double Tree Ploenchit is hands down the best option here. Thank you all, really hope to see you soon.

The front desk staffs were very kind and helpful to assist us in check-in and complimentary room upgrade. This was excellent and to the best of Elite member benefit delivery I have ever had among all of previous stays at the hotel under Hilton brand!
Every day when we took lift down for breakfast, every staff made a warm greetings to us, which made a wonderful start of our day!
I would also want to thank the room-keeping staffs, who were very friendly and did a great job on the room clean-up.
I would also want to highlight that most of the rooms have been newly refurbished and the napkins, tissues and toilet papers in this hotel are of high qualities. They are not fuzzy and they are very strong. And the bed linen and towels are clean and soft.
The hotel is also in a great location. It’s at the heart of Sukhumvit downtown where walking and BTS are very convenient.
Overall, this stay experience are much better than those in US. Room upgrade benefits are usually not guaranteed in the US Hilton hotels and the US staffs are sometimes very indifferent to guests.

Stayed here for 3 nights and chose this area as it was competitively priced but also within short distance of major tourist attractions. The nearest train stations are Nana or Ploen Chit, which are 10min walk away. But don’t let that deter you as the hotel has a lovely reception area with a warm welcome from all staff, concierge and bar and restaurant. There are 25 floors. Our room was decent size, modern and really clean. Very comfortable with a lovely walk-in shower and a bath tub too. Breakfast is continental with local options too, and well managed buffet. Nana plaza is 4 mins walk away with local Thai massage parlours and bars easily accessible. A 3 min walk to the main road toward the McDonald’s leads you to a bus top where a number of busses can be easily found to take you to the major tourist spots. Some of the busses are air conditioned and a fraction of the price for taxi/tuk tuk.

I booked the hotel as the rating was reasonable good. Arrived in the night and they gave me a room which was located on the 9th floor and not renovated. Old smelling carpets, no shower facility, no proper lights, noisy airco. Room is next to a 8 line highway and very noisy.
I claimed immediately and after 1 hour I received a modern room on the 20th floor but the same problem with the noisy air conditions appears. In the morning the room is getting very hot due to the location and direct influence of the sun which construction wise cannot be solved.
I changed again the room after 8 hours asking again and again and finally I got a reasonable room.
The hotel concept and mission statement "Make it right" is just a cheap slogan and the stuff is ignoring it.
I will not come again as there are hundreds of alternative hotels in Bangkok. I learned my lesson.

I enjoyed my stay here. I received an early check in and my room was upgraded as a gold member. Staff were friendly and helpful. The signature cookie was also tasty. My room was cosy and clean. I slept well in the bed.
It is around 10 minutes walk from a BTS station and very convenient to get to from the airport. They also allow you to bring friends to your room without checking ID.
They did ask for a 1000 baht deposit. My visa debit card was not accepted because it is a debit card. Just note this. I paid the deposit in cash.
Overall, I had a very pleasurable stay.

I have just had a great stay at the Double Tree hotel. This is my first time staying here since the remodel, what a difference it is now bright and alive, feels refreshing compared to the old Grand Majestic; its central location allows for easy access to and from the airport, within walking distance to BTS, malls and everything else the area has to offer. The rooms, restaurants and facilities are top notch. But what really makes the Double Tree my new top choice is the welcoming, and friendly staff. They always go out of their way to ensure that all my needs are met. Sam (head concierge), Bobo and Tump deserves special praise, they are great asset for the hotel. Sam (concierge) ensured my stay was taken care of from check-in to check-out, always greeting me with a smile and making sure I was happy. Bobo has been a good friend to me for the past 5 years and always takes care of my needs while staying in Thailand, from helping plan my trips to finding some of the best food you can imagine, he definitely ensures your trip is enjoyable and safe. The front desk staff is amazing as well as are all the staff at the hotel. Housekeeping is spot on to my special request; and are always prompt, friendly, and very helpful. Thailand also known as the land of smiles, that’s the feeling you will experience as soon as you pull up to the Double Tree.

It was absolutely a pleasure to stay here at the newest DoubleTree in Bangkok which is well located in the city centre where we could reach Bangkok Skytrain within walking distance.
From arrival to departure was flawless. The front line team leaded by Numnim was wonderful. Patricia and Nok were very pleasant, including Oh. Our upgraded room is spacious & comfy. Loved the welcoming set up in our room! Thanks to the team who cleaned our premium room.
Our highlight of this stay was Mike who is in charge of Food & Beverage at the hotel's restaurant. His genuine way of taking care of his guests and leading his team is really particularly outstanding. Guide was also a delight and helpful. We felt great vibes when we came down for breakfast and cocktails in the evening. Fantastic job guys!

Stayed here during an extended work trip and was deeply impressed by the level of service provided by the staff. They are attentive to provide assistance during check in and every time you enter the lobby area you’ll be greeted by them.

I stayed for one night at the DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit as I was arriving on a late flight and could save money on this inexpensive hotel the first night before moving on to the more expensive nearby Conrad Bangkok for the rest of my stay in Bangkok. For the very inexpensive price of this hotel, it delivers convenience of location, a simple but comfortable room and a great breakfast buffet with a surprisingly large selection of food.
The hotel is located near the Ploenchit BTS skytrain station, which is a great convenience as the skytrain is much faster than travelling by car in the notorious Bangkok city traffic. My Hilton Diamond status was acknowledged on check in and I was upgraded to a King Deluxe room on a high floor. The room is not very large but well equipped and new looking in decor as the rooms have been renovated not too long ago. In addition to the trademark warm cookie on checking in, I also receive a small box with two chocolates.
For a small hotel, the DoubleTree has an impressive breakfast buffet with a large selection of Western, Thai, Chinese and East Indian food. There are also eggs to order and soup noodle to order stations.
For a one night stay, the DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit provides great value for the price.

The rooms have been recently refurbished so ignore any older reviews. The room was very quiet despite being next to an elevator, there was no noise from the street either. They also still have the Crabtree and Evelyn bathroom amenities in small bottles rather than the "eco friendly" (cheaper) big bottles other hotel chains are moving towards!
The staff were very friendly, always smiling and saying hello. They also allowed me to check in early which was very much appreciated!
The hotel is located on a quiet residential street (so no noise from clubs etc) about a 5-10 minute walk from the Ploenchit BTS station and close to Benchakitti Park which is a nice and peaceful place to walk around!

Yes they do have limo service to the hotel but it very expensive compared to a regular taxi. You can get a regulated taxi from the airport on the lower level and they will take you directly to the hotel. At the hotel there are many taxis available right outside.
You can contact the hotel directly to book the limo .
Hi, as Tipper wrote, elevators (beginning November 2019) require a key. But the hotel remain very guest friendly. As in the past, your friend will be asked to leave their ID at the "guest" desk in the ground floor.
