Room was clean, internally quiet but some street noise, friendly helpful staff. Excellent location a short walk to a large park and night market. Breakfast had an array of food choices but the line to request an omelet was too long and instead of having self-service coffee we had to leave the dining room and go to an adjacent room to request it, a nuisance.
The positives are that the hotel is located near lots of good restaurants, shopping and entertainment with clean rooms. The bad is that if you book you must specify “non smoking” which was not an option on most booking websites. I spent an evening in a smoke filled room on a smoking floor, who knew hotels still allows smoking. But the worst part was they had bad internet connections. I kept getting booted off the WiFi and having to re-login In dozens of times. If you need good internet this isn’t the hotel.
We stayed for four nights, great location, spacious bedroom, everything we needed for a base while we explored Bangkok. Centrally located for the Metro, across the road from Patong Market where all the lively Bars are but we didn’t hear anything at night.
The Tawana Bangkok is situated very close to Patpong Night Market and the Sky train station. You can walk through night market and enjoy bars local food and Thai massage near the hotel.Even though the room price is quite expensive the hotel's rooms are large enough for me with well decorated room with full room and bathroom accessories. There are a kettle with tea and coffee packets iron and hair dryer in the room. Smoking is not permitted at our floor. Breakfast is not included in my deals. Bit we got 50% discount for buffet breakfast in which European Asian Thai menus are inculded. Wifi is also good. The Hotel's atmosphere is very comfortable. There are also bar and restaurant inside the hotel.
This was my second visit to the same hotel. this time also i was there with my office colleagues. The hotel was renovating the reception and we have to use the restaurant entrance instead. unlike the last time, used swimming pool. but the area looks like a closed area as there are no one at the pool bar. Rooms were comfortable as like the last time. The difficulty in the room i stayed was that there was no plug point near the bed, so i have to put my phone on to charge at a chair near TV. I noticed that the staff discriminates the guests. I was walking behind a European couple towards the lift and the staff at the restaurant reception greeted them with a nice Thai gesture and greetings, but for me she just looked at me and smiled. I may not choose this hotel for my next stay, if i am traveling on my own.…
