We spent Christmas in BKK and stayed at the Novotel Banngkok Platinum Pratunam. This hotel is very centrally located. It is close to some upscale malls as well as those that sell mid-low priced items. It is surrounded by a lot of street food offerings making it a good choice for one who wants to experience the hustle and bustle of the city.
The rooms were well-appointed and clean. We loved how kids could stay with their parents in bunk beds. They also had special toiletry kits for the kids making them feel special.

The service staffs here are very friendly and helpful. From the moment I entered the hotel, I was greeted with very courteous and helpful staff, especially the Customer Service Officer name, ICE.
ICE assisted with my check-in and follow up with checks that were previously arranged with the hotel.
She ensure that everything were in place as what were arranged.
My checking in was smooth and pleasant with such courteous and helpful staff.
This definitely made the start of the stay a very pleasant one.

Novotel Platinum Pratunam is located above the Pratunam Shopping Mall. It is right smack in an exceptionally convenient location. Within walking distance via the sky bridge to Big C supermarket Just outside the hotel in the evening is a row of vendors selling street food, clothes, bags, toys etc. As an Accor member I used my complimentary night and booked a bigger room for a small fee. The room was located on the highest floor at 25th floor. The welcome platter in the room consists of Thai desserts. It was a very good stay for me. I had a nice dinner at their restaurant consisting of chicken satay. a refreshing soft drink and red ruby dessert. Breakfast was good too. Check in was at their special Accor counter for members hence there was no delay. I must say being an Accor member has its privileges.

Positioned strategically near the Platinum Fashion Mall, this hotel boasts a prime location that will delight shopping enthusiasts, being only a stone's throw away from Central Mall. The interior of the hotel is appealing, with clean, well-maintained rooms and common areas that ensure a comfortable stay.
A commendable aspect of the hotel's services is the professionalism and dedication shown by the housekeeping team. However, this level of service does not extend to the dining options, with the room service menu falling short in comparison to the tantalizing fare at nearby food stalls.
A less than pleasant experience was encountered with a staff member named Anya, whose dismissive and discriminatory attitude created an unwelcome atmosphere. Despite my suggestions, based on over two decades of Facility Management experience, for dealing with the persistent cigarette smell in one of the suites, no permanent solution was provided, which unfortunately soured the stay.
The amenities provided by the hotel are somewhat disappointing. The children's play area is notably small and falls below the standard one would anticipate in a four-star hotel. Similarly, the swimming pool lacks in size and does not entice guests for a dip.
In conclusion, this hotel, despite its prime location and cleanliness, needs to address several key issues. Staff training should be prioritized to ensure all guests are treated with the respect they deserve, and attention must be given to improve the children's area. A review of the pricing strategy is advisable to align the hotel with its competitors. Our recent stay was not as pleasant as other Novotel stays we have had.
Check in was 2pm on the dot not a minute before check in was a fairly easy process and staff spoke English. Not enough seating in the foyer therefore, it made it difficult to remain in the hotel to wait for the room to be prepared. In the room traffic noise was really loud even at great heights we were very surprised how loud it really was. We understand that it is a very busy road below however, if the windows were double glazed it was not working. The room needs some updating the roof leaked from the air conditioner service panel, bathroom had a sticky substance on the wall and around the light switch also on the coffee table. The room needs painting as there were marks on the walls also we checked up above the bed head and there were holes in the wall and paint on the surface of the bed head. Happy hour is advertised in the lifts and in the foyer however, when we attempted to make enquires about happy hour we were given so many responses however, none were correct or little information was known by staff.
The positive was breakfast buffet large assortment of food available from an egg station, western and thai selection of foods fresh fruits, bread station and so much more. Linen was lovely and white bathroom towels were large, bathroom accessories were bountiful and the smells were not over powering.

Stayed at Rm2112, Suite King Bed, here is my experience.
1. Check-in was smooth, kudos to Gus who is friendly, polite and make you feel welcome.
2. Lounge was very small, but its ok, the ladies assigned there are not warm and friendly. Utensils like teaspoon are not readily available, had to request so i can eat the sweets.
3. Poor housekeeping service. They only replenish amenities for 2persons, I keep on calling the front desk to keep on reminding them that we are 3people in the room. Bathtub is a big dissapointment. Filled it with hot water but cannot find the liquid bathsoap or bath bubble. The housekeeper (tall guy) keep on insisting that I should get from the shower room, which is impossible, it was attached on the wall. I cannot take it out. So I called the frontdesk for the 2nd time. The same housekeeper came back with the showel gel refill, with his annoyed tone, he poured little by little in the bathtub and asked "is this enough Ma'am?" which is insulting. I really got offended and told him I will not use it anymore, and can he please drain the bathtub, but the water does not go down, turned out the bathtub was broken. Requested to change the slippers, they gave us used slippers. The room was dusty and was not vacuumed everyday. The seeds that we noticed under the couch since we arrive was still there when we checked-out.
4. The breakfast buffet is just ok, it's the same everyday. Not too many choices. What's interchanging is only the pork sausage and ham.
5. The hotel was convieniently located in everything, from high-end shopping to affordable price of night market.

Love Novotel Platinum because of easy access to Platinum Fashion mall and several malls around the area. My mom is disable - the hotel club room is beautiful with updated decoration and wide bathroom door for my mother with wheelchair. We stayed on 25 th floor with nice view of canal and Park.
Vast variety of food both Thai and Western at buffet breakfast. We also enjoyed afternoon tea at 1 - 3 pm and evening drink & horderves at 5 p.m. The outdoor pool with great view of the city is awesome. The massage place is wonderful and the price is a great bargain.
The only complain was the maid service. She cleaned the room next door thus I thought she would clean our room next. She saw 2 of us with my handicap 85 years old mother left the room for breakfast. My mom sometimes tired and might stay in the room until afternoon. When we came back the room was not cleaned. When I asked for 3 bottles of water (when we first met her)she told us to put 3 bottles of water in our room instead of service us. Even in USA or when I travel around the world , the maid would put the water in the room when they clean our room - specially when this maid saw us leaving the room for breakfast. I wish this maid service will improve next time.
Thank you to Noon at the check in for giving us a beautiful room (2509) with the View. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Big thanks to Alin (our favorite), Mi, Ice, Chian Chian at Accor desk and club lounge. All of you made our stay special.
We definitely will be back again.

Visited in Jan 2024 and things were okay as I paid more for a club lounge access room. Went again in Mar 2024 but was in a normal standard room but things were terrible. Towels looked thin and old, housekeeping didn't even empty my bin, let alone vacuum the floor or clean the toilet... called housekeeping to ask for the special pillows as they advertised in the room, was told that those pillows stated were already on the bed. Pillows were too hard and high, causing neck aches..
Check-in experience was bad. The queue built up and a new counter was opened. But the officer served the customer who came later than me first.
Seems like I have to try another hotel in my next trip.

Great modern hotel if you want to be in the thick of things, shopping, restaurants, street food etc. the most comfortable bed and pillows to die for. Room had everything you could need , dressing gowns, slippers, hairdryer & iron and ironing board. Staff are very friendly and allowed us to check in very early as a room available which was a great help after 20 hours travelling. Breakfast had something for everyone although could have been hotter. We loved the roof top bar where they had a rooftop swimming pool, cocktails were amazing. A special thank you to Joker and Garfild for making our stay extra special, they are a real asset to the hotel. We ate in both restaurants , the Thai restaurant was great food but they bought starters and main course at the same time so order one course at a time as they don’t seem to understand. Food in the rooftop bar was nice but again really cold. I would definitely stay again, thank you Novotel Platinum.😁

If you chose an executive room you also get not only but also admission into the executive lounge where you will find Peachie she is such a beautiful young lady, she is attentive, funny and made our stay here memorable for all the right reasons.
