My husband and I stayed 32 nights at Mountain House from late April to late May.
The family (parents and son) who run the Mountain House were all always very friendly, loving, very concerned that we are doing well, reliably present and responsive to questions.
Our room was bright, big enough for the two of us, the bed very comfortable for sleeping, the sheets and towels always clean.
The laundry service at the Mountain House was of good quality and was implemented reliably, daily.
I found the food very delicious and very digestible for me (Oat Porridge, Apple Pancake, Veg Fried Noodles). The ingredients looked fresh and very good quality.
There was also free drinking water, always hot shower water and most of the time electricity. The lake is walking distance about 5-10 minutes. Restaurants and other shops can be found just outside the Mountain House.
From our room there were also mountain views of one of the mountains of the Annapurna chain (with clear visibility).
I felt very comfortable during the time at Mountain House!

I had a nice 7 days stay at The Mountain House in Pokhara. The location is away from the main street on a side street so it's quiet but still close enough to walk to the lake or the many restaurants nearby. The owner, his wife and son are very nice and friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean with a desk and a kettle. There's filtered water dispensers on all floors so you don't have to waste plastic by buying bottles - although it would've been nice to have a public refrigerator or min fridge to put my water in to keep cold. I highly recommend this hotel in Pokhara.

The Mountain House Pokhara is located in an ideal situation near Lakeside, just a few minutes walk, close to great restaurants, shops and the beautiful Phewa Lake.
Our room was spacious and airy. The shower was exceptional - powerful and with plentiful hot water. The hotel is kept very clean; we saw at least 3 cleaners each day keeping the communal areas spotless, inside and out, mopping floors, even sweeping the pavement outside the hotel.
Budget wise, we found the perfect combination of quality and affordability. We booked direct with the hotel which was better value than Booking.com
All the aforementioned points make for a comfortable stay, but what takes The Mountain House to the next level are the people who run it. The hotel is owned and run by a family who are natural hosts and really want you to enjoy your stay. Nothing is too much trouble.
Nabin and his family are experts in organising treks, so we took advantage of this and booked a trekking guide through them. Our guide, Muku, was a very experienced trek leader, card player and self confessed chess addict and was a lot of fun to have on our trek, willing to change plans along the way to suit our needs and my dodgy knee!
I also thought I’d like to have a go at paragliding and as if by magic, Mountain House sorted this and before I had time to reconsider the pros and cons of jumping off a mountain, I was on a minibus being driven to the jump zone. I’m so glad I did it, it was the most exhilarating experience of my life.
Other assistance we received included booking bus tickets, hailing taxis, doing our laundry, storing some of our belongings while we went trekking, offering us cups of Massala tea just when we needed it most, I could go on!
I must also mention the owners lovely dog. We were missing our own dog very much, so were delighted to meet the four legged resident we could make a fuss of.
We would like to thank the owners for their professionalism and their kindness to us. We originally booked for two nights, but ended up staying for ten.

We had a fantastic stay at Mountain view. So much so we booked rooms there before and after our trek for the duration of our stay pokhara. The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable with large open showers and hot water. The hotel is located about 5 mins walk off the main street so its a perfect location without the noise. This is a family run hotel and Stan Indria and Nabin are wonderful hosts. They are gracious and always willing to help or just chat. For dog lovers they have a small quiet dog who loves to play and is adorable. Highly recommend staying here.

Great place to stay! We only stayed for a short time (3nights) but were so impressed by this place! The staff were super helpful and friendly, always asking how we were and if we needed anything. They also stored our excess luggage while we went on a four day hike! We stayed in the private double room, the rooms were very clean, the beds were comfy and the bathrooms were great, with good hot water showers! They even have a yoga space on the 4th floor which I thoroughly enjoyed using.
Thank-you staff, we’ll be back!

I am truly so happy that we found this place! The family who runs the hotel are superstars: Always ready to help with anything you might need and so welcoming. We ended up staying there for over 2 weeks, and still, didnt really want to leave to be honest.
Very clean rooms, cozy beds and the location was great: close to everything but still a bit from main street so you can get a goodnights sleep whitout the noice.
If I ever go back to Nepal and Pokhara, I will go back to this hotel for sure!

My friend and I stayed here on two occasions during our Nepal trip. The hotel itself is very clean and a great price. Very close to the main streets in Pokhara and directly across the street is a small eatery which is great value. The owners of Mountain House were so friendly, I felt like I had known them for years. Would absolutely stay here again.

The Mountain House is a great place with lovely owners. Every year I stay a couple of days in their beautiful hotel where they now also serve breakfast if you want. Inside or outside in their beautiful garden. Rooms are big and very clean!
For me it feels every time a bit like coming home.

We stayed at the Mountain House for a week. The location is close to the main street but a lot more calm. The rooms are clean and spacious. The family and staff are the kindest people, they make sure your stay is more than comfortable and they will help you to arrange your trips/trekkings/day activities. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in Pokhara!
