We stayed for one night and were celebrating birthday. They made arrangement in our room including decoration and birthday cake (has mentioned in special request while booking). Room and bathroom were spacious and clean. we had lunch in rox restaurant and it really exceeded our expectations although options were less probably due to covid situation. Breakfast buffet was awesome with freshly and on demand prepared items. staff were good and courteous Had nice experience.

I love staying at the Kathmandu Hyatt Regency! This was my 14th visit to Nepal, and by far this is the best hotel in Kathmandu. They always exceed my expectations. At the moment, they are undergoing renovation, but each renovation they do makes this hotel better and better. The Hyatt Regency Kathmandu feels like an oasis in a bustling city that can initially be a little overwhelming for some. What really makes this hotel a cut above and beyond any other hotel in Kathmandu are the lovely staff. In particular, Merina was incredible at keeping in contact with me during this past visit to make certain that all of my hotel needs were met. And Anil went above and beyond in transporting me during the Covid citywide lockdown to ensure I got my PCR test and safely transported me to the airport. Wonderful staff such as these make staying at the Hyatt a relaxing and pleasurable experience. Cheers, Craig

While the hotel and staff were lovely, this hotel hosted multiple large wedding gatherings during the height of the COVID pandemic. Irresponsible and negligent of their duty of care for guests and staff. I will never be a customer of this hotel again.

I have to say. I’m very disappointed in my stay. People are human and your staff is professional. However, I’m disappointed in the hotel for a few reasons. First I would like to commend the chef staff, top notch and the food was excellent. Restaurant service was superior. My concerns were as follows: 1) allowing a wedding DJ to play music until I called at 3am is inexcusable. The hotel should not even allow this, especially a 5 star. 2) I was very disgusted when the India guest came into the restaurant like a bee swarm. They didn’t wear masks, they cut in front of me multiple times, and ignored the requests of your servers to not serve themselves. We are in Covid lockdown and they need to respect others. I know the hotel can not control the behavior of all guest, but I found this disturbing and felt my health was potential at risk. 3) lastly upon check out, I find out my one bag of laundry was $11,000 rupees. That’s approximately $94 US. I find this not only totally unacceptable but also felt as if I was being ripped off. I understand fees for hotel services may be higher but, $94 for one laundry is incredibly excessive. I accept the apology from your front desk staff and apologize myself for getting angry. With that said I believe in voicing my concern when I feel something is not right. I hope the Hyatt Kathmandu learns from my experience. At this point in time there’s no way I can honestly say my stay was 100% pleasant, except for the chef staff and excellent food. I’m sorry but other than the food I can not recommend another stay at Hyatt Kathmandu.

I had the opportunity to visit Kathmandu Nepal a couple of times in the past few years and I always choose this Hyaat Regency because they are very close to the airport and local sight scenes. This hotel has amazing staff and the property is huge compared to other 5 star hotels in Kathmandu. I love the food here and service is the best so I’ve experienced in this city. The only thing I hate about this hotel is it’s Spa. I’ve been coming here many years and frequently use the steam sauna due to Kathmandu pollution but they never updated the Spa. It’s Very old and outdated. Broken faucets, dirty shower heads, old towels etc. they don’t even have a proper shower gel and shampoo, they use the same product with different labels. The swimming pool is one of the best, it’s big and wide. I just wished they would take better care of the spa since that’s what i use most of the time during my stay here. Over all, amazing hotel with great amenities. Can’t go wrong.
