Good value. Big room, and bigger tv! Ethiopian style with all mod cons. Lovely staff, good breakfast. Airport transfer waits outside but he waited a long time since I waited inside. So reliable service if you realise you need to find him outside! Convenient for airport. Why pay more.

This was my first time at the ARCK but not my first time in Addis Ababa. I found this property to be extremely modern and it exceeded all of my expectations. The internet was nice and if you stayed in the lobby was quite fast. It was fast in my room but the only problem was that it would drop from time to time. But, I have no complaints.
The staff were as expected in Ethiopia, Pleasant, accommodating, friendly and quite Kind. They went out of their way to ensure that I was well taken care of and that included making sure that I was escorted to a local Ethiopian restaurant to get a traditional Ethiopian Dinner.
This was by far better than my stay at the Ghion and the other hotels that I have stayed at in Addis. I would recommend this hotel to anyone single or with families that are visiting Addis Ababa.
The staff were as expected in Ethiopia, Pleasant, accommodating, friendly and quite Kind. They went out of their way to ensure that I was well taken care of and that included making sure that I was escorted to a local Ethiopian restaurant to get a traditional Ethiopian Dinner.

After staying in budget hotels this was a spot of paradise for the tired traveller.
We booked half an hour in advance and showed up. They put us in nice rooms with nice decor.
The beds we're extremely comfy, the showers great and we were overall very happy
We would definitely come here again. And for the price we paid compared to the expensive places, we assumed a similar service.

I checked in with 2 persons for a room, but you have to pay for the breakfast of the second person. Price of 1800 birr is also way too much for a "hotel" like this. For this price you can find better.
Room was full of insects. TV not working. Windows cannot open. Toilet was not cleaned. All furniture is broken in the room. Very thin walls, so you can hear all other guests in the room. Not enough curtains to darken the room. Manager only thinks about money instead of service. Please find another place to stay.

Ark Hotel is affordable and very quiet. The rooms are big and clean, and the staff is friendly. The restaurant offers a basic menu and there aren't a lot of places to eat at close by, which might be the only downside. Most importantly, this place has a good internet connection, even in the rooms!

Nice small hotel close to chichiho traditional Ethiopian club. Close to the new stadium that is built now.
Very quiet hotel. The staff are nice and helpful,always except you with smile. It's not so far from central areas as malls,entertainment clubs. It's not far from beautiful church for people who need it.
In walking distance you have good cafe with good coffee and nice food.

I traveled over 30 times to Addis Abeba, but this was my first time at The Ark Hotel, where I spent 22 nights.
The hotel is located at Gerji, one of the most safest and prestigious residential aereas of Addis Abeba, surrounded by Embassies and luxurious villas. At the same time only 7 minutes drive from Bole International Airport.
I was very impressed about the spaciousness and cleanness of the rooms. Quite an higher level than most properties in Addis Abeba. The rooms are equipped with very comfortable beds, 42“ flat screen TV, safety box, modern bathrooms and offer warm water and electricity as well as an excellent internet connection throughout the entire property 24/7, which is a luxury in Addis.
The free shuttle service from and to the airport was impeccable, despite of the late flight timings. No waiting times neither on arrival nor on departure. Executed by a brand new 8-seater minivan.
Moreover there is a restaurant on the ground floor, where you can enjoy breakfast and plenty of delicious local and international dishes.
All the staff was so friendly and extremely helpful as well as very committed to their work. I really felt warmly welcomed and at home. With good conscience I can recommend this property to all those guests who look for a familiar, safe and well kept property offering excellent services at a very fair price.
A particular thanksgiving to the General Manager, Mr Habtom, who focused on every single detail and who made my stay possible at Ark Hotel, although the property occupancy was quite high and my reservation has been made on short notice before arrival.
Thanks a lot again to you and to all your team.

Usually It is a little hectic to go from place to the other in Addis. But on this trip I found a place that eases the movement from one destination to the other. Ark hotel is placed in a good location where it is very easy to shuttle from one location to the other. Its closeness to the airport and shopping malls is a huge plus.
And the staff is great, kind enough to accommodate you out of their way. The internet service compare to others is the best. The break fast is amazing. No noise in their lobby and helped me to communicate with my business personnel abroad. And love the 24/7 electric.
I enjoyed my stay and will do it again on my next trip in November 2017. You will get your monies worth service so consider them in your next trip.

We stayed at The Arck on the front- and back-end of our trip to Ethiopia. It's a charming small hotel - nice and close to the airport, but far enough away to not have the noise.
The hotel is very clean and felt safe. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a small restaurant on main floor which offers good food at a fair price.
It's nothing fancy, but it's clean and safe and friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again when traveling to/through Addis.
As is true for many hotels in Ethiopia, there is no lift. However, their bellmen are very fast and efficient and accustomed to hauling bags up and down.
