Coming from the UK the hotels meets international standard with its facilities and decor in both rooms and the communal areas like the lounge and restaurant. The staff are exceptional and make you feel like you are family. The location is also great for taxis, public buses and also walking as it' is literally 10 mins walk from Meskel Square. The hotel also has a Spa with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi facilities that is complimentary with the booking. Like the rest of the property it is nice, clean with great staff. I would recommend for anyone travelling and looking for a comfortable stay or even if you live local and want a night away from home. Thank You to the Sidra staff.

Sidra international hotel is truly unique. This was the 2nd time i was staying in a hotel in Addis Ababa. I have been treated to very good service elsewhere but at Sidra the staff sort of " adopted" me. Here, every guest is made to feel like family. Cleaning is a religion here. Everyday the maids pass by and do deep through cleaning , lay fresh sheets and leave you a room to run to after work, for its fresh look .I take sanitation very seriously and this aspect pleased me alot. Staff are attentive to your every need: everytime you eat the free breakfast or any other meal ,someone with a broad welcoming smile asks how the food was and if you enjoyed it. Amazing care! Indeed i was totally floored when twice when i ddnt come down to the restaurant for breakfast , staff called my room to say they didn't see me at breakfast. Do i want them to bring it to me? I haven't ever seen this in my over 10 years of traveling and staying at hotels. 👌 i will miss you all.😊

I recently completed a trip to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where I enjoyed perhaps the best vacation experience of my life! I was delighted with the friendliness of the people and especially thrilled with the service provided at the Sidra International Hotel and at Geza Apartment Hotel! The staff at these 'sister' sites were nothing less than amazing! From the reception staff to the hotel managers, the restaurant and bar staff, the housekeeping crew - everyone, to a person, was a great joy to be around and be serviced by! All employees were profoundly helpful and truly concerned with providing not only friendly and professional service, but that guests' were given 'special care, support, and attention' down to the slightest detail or wish. Although I do not have all employee names, one person of special note I'd like to thank is Ms. Raey Yoseph, who shared a birthdate near my own. To my great surprise, the hotel presented me with a birthday cake, along with wine and song, that left me in near tears of happiness and thanks! I am truly grateful and extremely appreciative of the staff for making the visit one that I'll always remember as truly special! Thank you so very much. I have found my second home at Sidra Internation Hotel and Geza Apartment Hotel! Bravo, Thank you, Amaset Ganalo (āmeseginalehu)!

Wonderful and helpful staff. Great variety of food at breakfast. Loved the papaya and melon juices served for breakfast.

Just needs a little consistency on maintenance on things like lights, deep cleaning of floor rags and chairs in the rooms. Some bedsheets are torn need replacing.

Otherwise great place if you’re looking for affordable accommodation with airport tranfers.

The experience at SIdra in Addis was just very heart warming. I was received with warm 'Habesha' smiles and service that was beyond my expectations. Stayed there for 3 days before leaving to Jimma. Came back to Addis and my first choice was back to SIdra. The rooms are cozy and warm and the colors are very inviting. In addition they have free shuttle to and from the airport which is quite nearby. As a guest do not forget to make use of the free gym located in the basement, and the sauna and steam bath is also free.
The food is just awesome plus the staff are so ready and eager to give the best of their service.
The only downside is that the hot water system was not functioning well but the steam bath took care of that. The TV channels are also too limited but one can always get out and enjoy the neighborhood.
Salute to Ms Raey, Sebel, Elsie, Rahel, (sorry if I got the names wrong) and Mr Daniel at the bar counter plus I cannot forget the shuttle drivers.

Will definitely be back?

Clean and spacious rooms with great views of the city. Free Breakfast Buffet with some nice options. Very nice staff. The wifi was fast and consistent. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because there is no heat of air condition in the rooms. It got down to around 50 degrees outside and it was cold in my room.
Apparently not having heat or AC is the norm in this area. Otherwise this is a very nice hotel with positive vibes.

Great hotel with clean rooms and very friendly staff. It is perfectly located to reach the key spots of Addis (e.g. Bole, 22 etc.). You will all the required shops, restaurants, banks, pharmacies within short walking distance. The rooms are big and come with a big bathroom and balcony . They offer free shuttle service to the airport which I highly recommend to use. And I loved the Firfir at the breakfast :) All in all a really great experience.

After eight years away from my home country, I spent more than three weeks at Sidra hotel on a family vacation. The staff is fantastic and very welcoming. The free breakfast is fantastic, with Ethiopian options and meals for foreigners available, as well as a professional and friendly chef who always ensures his guests are enjoying his food and checks to see if anything is missing. I enjoyed my entire stay there and am already missing the morning steam and sauna with free foot massages from professional girls. The only thing I would suggest for improvement is repairing the shower equipment because it floods the bath room when taking a shower, and the gym equipment at the treadmill is getting old.

Hi, I am not very sure about the pricing, because my local host use to book me and he hosts visitors regularly at the hotel, so he may have negotiated a special rate. But my understanding is that a standard room would cost 65 - 75$/night bed & breakfast. Hope this can be to some help.
