Spent two nights here recently and was quite satisfied, in line with other reviewers. Centrally located, room quiet and comfortable if a bit basic, aircon, wifi and shower worked well, breakfast simple but OK (nice omelette), helpful staff. Any downsides? There is no elevator, and reception is one floor above street level, so you have a minimum of two flights of stairs to get to your room. They were unable to arrange for a car to pick me up at the railway station, which nearly went pear shaped at about 2300 at night!

My wife and I stayed 3 nights for our first visit to this area. Arriving by taxi ($12) at 2 PM, the doorman carried our bags to reception on the 1st floor. Because the airport ATM's had no cash, the English speaking receptionist changed $100 to 17,000 Djf so I could pay the taxi driver 2000 Djf. After our passports were copied, our bags were carried up to 3rd floor #202, an unequipped kitchenette with a queen (plastic mattress pad was clammy), 2 nightstands, dining table with 3 chairs, coffee table with 2 easy chairs, closet, minibar, TV with CNN, and standard bathroom (difficult shower door). The 6 AM continental breakfast included fruit juice and watermelon. This 36 room hotel had secure WIFI, good AC, guarded entry, friendly staff, and central location for our visit; 2 blocks north to ATM's, 3 blocks to great Casino supermarket, and 4 blocks south to 1906 mosque/market.

Hotel is not luxurious but still very OK, and when I compare the price and the service, this is I think the best price quality compromise u could find in an expensive city like djibouti. Located in the city center close to shops open 24h and nice restaurant, the area is very safe, taxi available all the time, owners are very nice and careful to the needs of their guests, rooms spacious, AC works but a bit noisy, breakfast is just OK.

Everything was good and adequate, staff is very friendly and helpful, WiFi is fast and reliable, breakfast is good including fresh fruit and fresh baguette. The location in the center is great to get to most places and it is fairly quiet. It's not a five-star hotel of course, rooms need renovation and the mattresses are not the best, but for the price it is okay. Two of my colleagues switched to the same hotel from one of the expensive, fancy hotel in the south outside of downtown because of better value and better location. Would definitely go back there again.
