Really beautiful traditional riad with fascinating decoration. Musk suite is huge, clean spaces and really nice bathroom. Good breakfast with fresh orange juice and lots of Morrocan goodies. Everybody is really helpful and polite. Highly recommend to hire Hannah for a half day walking tour inside the ancient city. She is really pleasant and provides lots of information for anything about the city. George
Excellent place!!! excellent staff❤️ we had a nice room...a very nice breakfast and the best of all we had a very nice city walk with Hanan, who was the best guide ever!!!! I wish i couls stay longer..for sure i will be back!!!!! Niki from Greece
Late at nigh, we stepped off on the road outside - a few minutes walk from Hotel (Riad Borj Dhab Fez). A small orientation with help from the friendly locals and we arrived. Our destination was a big strong door (Baab), with round the day reception. The central courtyard was exquisite, very beautifully designed. We had booked a medium-large size room which was well equipped - although it was cold outside but the room heated up very quickly. The floor was Moroccan tiles, pictures, dressing table and sofa, with a stylistic twist of Fes. The room was quite and provided a wonderful place to sleep. The shower area was slightly small but more than acceptable, but apart from that the bathroom and facilities were great. Breakfast was provided each morning, with amazing tea or coffee, local jams and preserves, olives, bread and a number of unique Fes based items. The orange juice was excellent. The breakfast is served on the balcony overlooking the central courtyard which was really nice. Although the facilities were great, what really made the trip special was the staff. This has to be by far the best staff that I have come across - professional yet friendly and no request too small or too big. They genuinely went out of their way. Attentive and available - when required and not too pushy either. The staff themselves are well versed as local guides and can be booked. A great way to navigating the labyrinth of alleys and streets. If you require a place to shop, some locally sourced Argan oil? We spoke to the staff who helped us purchase genuine items used and produced by the locals. For me all of the staff shone and I would personally recommend asking Hanan who assisted by Najeeb to make your trip truly special. We were magically transported back in time.…
A beautiful reprieve from the busy alleys of the Medina. Hospitality is wonderful. As a solo traveler, I felt welcomed and safe. The staff helped accommodate every need and set up multiple excursions. Do the walking tour with Hannan. It's a great value and you see much more than you would going alone.
The Riad itself is beautiful with HUGE room witbh amazing tile work. We stayed fior three nights and had dinner in the Riad twice. Bioth dinners and breakfast each moring were delicious! When looking to explore the Medina we hired Hanan (who works at the Riad) as our guide. She is AMAZING!! we saw so much of the Medina that we never wou\ld have seen on our own. Hanan took us into a bakery to see bread being made in a wood fire oven. We also had a meal in a very quaint kabab restaurant that has been run by the same family for 120 years. Our tour included a boarding school, mosque, one of the oldest univesities in the world, pottery and rug shops etc. All the while Hanan educated us on the people and history of Fes. Bottom line: stay here, eat here and fhire Hanan as your guide!!…
