I am a Wyndham Diamond member and supposed to receive a COMPLIMENTARY upgrade to a suite anytime that I stay if one is available. Wyndham Diamond members are pretty serious about this particular upgrade because we are not just gifted Diamond level (their highest), you have to stay at a Wyndham hotel a minimum of 40 nights per year. It is EARNED. The front desk clerk initially said that she had to charge an upgrade fee as per her manager and I explained how the Diamond program works. We went back and forth a bit about how the program functions but, to her great credit, she checked on the program details and did the upgrade. She was pleasant, helpful, and efficient. It was not her fault that she was not adequately trained on the Wyndham Rewards program. That is something that management should really address. When you are tired and on a long business trip, the last thing you want is to have a back and forth at the front desk over benefits you have earned.
The hotel itself had excellent, comfortable beds that seemed to be new. The lobby area looks as if it has had a recent remodel. We did not use the pool(indoor), but the pool area was clean and inviting. They were accomodating witht the COVID19 issue and provided grab and go breakfast bags, so overall a good experience.

This is a good budget priced family friendly place to stay the night. It's not fancy but it's priced accordingly, easy to get to off of the highway, and does the job. Beds are comfortable and the guestrooms are clean. Staff was very kind. Breakfast was typical of hotels in this price range. I just wish that breakfast was open until 10am on weekends.

We just needed a place to sleep on our way home. I prepaid, but check in took way longer than it should have. The beds are very firm. There are no healthy choices at the breakfast. The mechanism to operate the shower is unusual so look for signs explaining how.

They got our information from Priceline. I googled "motels in Ames Colorado" up popped all these motels in "Ames" not indicating it was Ames Iowa. We made a reservation and didn't realize it to be Ames Iowa until we received confirmation. We tried to cancel and was told it would cost $176 to cancel, and said we checked in, we were 1075 miles away. We asked for our money back and was denied. Watch when googling with Priceline, they're the worst.

The Baymont in Ames, Iowa, is an excellent accommodation. We especially like that the rooms are not carpeted. Beds are very comfortable. With current health safety measures, rather than a buffet type hot breakfast, for those of us who require protein for breakfast, they have a pre-packaged breakfast sandwich.

This was probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in by far . The room was not clean there was used Toilet paper by the bath tub. The bathroom floor was dirty and there were stains in the sheets . If there were zero stars I would have given them none.

Clean, friendly staff, easy access. We were pleasantly surprised by the simple, quiet room. Some hotel stays are about just getting a good nights rest and a clean place to shower and spend the night. Our experience did not disappoint. Simple, nothing fancy but offered exactly what we needed during our recent Ames visit.

facility needs an upgrade, does not have an elevator, grab and go breakfast was not healthy, no fresh fruit or yogurt. only donuts, granola bars, fruit cups and coffee. attendant did everything she could to make the stay better.

Motel was a nice clean place. The staff was helpful and friendly. The Room was clean, smelled fresh and had a lot on space. Bathroom had a nice open tub and shower.

Property was clean, our room windows were filthy. Breakfast was short of a warm meal. Pool was cool and the ladder was hard to get out of pool. Motel should have a hot tub. The pool area had room for one.
