After mentally visiting my son in Hospice it was very comfortable resting before going back the next day. I greatly appreciate that your staff was willing to help make my stay as good as it could be. Thank you again

I have personally never stayed at a Radisson before this past recent trip and I have to say that, I will be looking for a Radisson everytime I am in need of hotel. The one in Ames, Iowa right by ISU campus has the BEST wings and a full bar and even had the most professional, funny, friendly bartender I have ever met!! I believe her name was Laura! I was having kind of a down in the dumps kind of day and she made me forget all about that. I have never had a bartender be so down to earth, she made it seem like we've been friends a long time. I was kind of wary about trying the food but she insisted and I'm so glad she did because the wings she recommended were AMAZING and she paired it with the perfect beer, she really knows her stuff, I was amazed. The rooms were ok, the beds are by far the best I want to find out who the manufacturer is of their beds so I can get one for my bedroom at home (seriously :) )
Breakfast was good the next morning although they charge you for coffee the same coffee you can 10ft. away in the lobby for free... The front desk people were friendly, I will definitely be recommending the Radisson hotel to friends and family or to anyone for that matter that is looking for a hotel. Good job Radisson and Great job Laura! If you do ever see this, please know that I am forever grateful for you that night, you turned my really bad day into a wonderful evening, hope to see you again, keep up the great work!

The few staff who were working we all very pleasant. They were also extremely over worked and were struggling to complete their many duties (The check-in clerk was answering the many phone calls while checking in a line of guests, Breakfast chef worked alone as a line of guest waiting for breakfast grew). They were very polite in their stress. Our room was clean, but the "recliner chair" we needed turned out to be an "easy chair" that did not recline. Our bathroom was very clean but the bathtub was squeaky. As we showered the tub made a squeak or creaking noise whenever we stepped in the central area. It felt stable, but were still worried as we showered. Our card keys had trouble functioning. It took 3 to 5 attempts to get a green light on our doors. The record was 7 attempts. I was not able to enter the fitness room with my key card. The check in clerk had to reset the lock on the door so I could enter. The fitness room was in good condition. For the price we paid I was very surprised only coffee, tea and hot chocolate was complementary in the morning. I was expecting at least cereal, pastries, fruit and/or yogurt to be offered. I don't plan to return to the Radisson but if I do I will do more "due diligence" and inquire as to what is included in the price.

Thank you for posting a review. We do appreciate that you pointed out the positive aspects of your stay, but are even more appreciative of the opportunity to learn where we can make improvements on. We are saddened to hear that your stay was less than satisfying due to the condition of the bath tub, recliner chair, key card and the availability of breakfast at that time. We are concerned about the satisfaction of our guests and your feedback is greatly appreciated as it assists us in our continuous goal of improving our services. While we understand if you do not wish to return, we'd love to have another opportunity to serve you and offer you a more seamless experience in the future.

This hotel was being staffed by very young and inexperienced people who seemed overwhelmed.
There is no free breakfast served even though they tell that there is in order to get you to stay there.
We found at least 2 different kinds of bugs in our room in both the shower and the pullout bed.
The bed and pillows are very comfortable but the room has a weird layout with the shower and toilet in the bathroom and the sink in the main room right when you enter the room.
The staff was nice and accommodating but one kid who was probably in his early 20’s and only had one week experience was left to work a Saturday night all alone and couldn’t handle the many guests that were there.

Our first and last time staying here. There were hairs everywhere in the room especially on the bed. Multiple light bulbs were burnt out, one of the small mirrors was not only mounted to the wall crooked but pulled out of the wall the second you touched it. The bathroom smelled like a weird medical center. The shower creaked so bad while you stood there that it felt like you were going to fall through the floors below you. There were trash boxes in the yard and parking lot that no one cared about cleaning.
The best part is we waited for 2 hours to get our room. Check in time is 3 and we finally had a room at 5. We were told at 3:15 it would only be another 15 minutes. Time must move differently in the hotel world than real life. I was a few minutes away from canceling our reservation and going elsewhere (which looking back I wish I would have done).
The GM/manager on duty just made one excuse after another claiming that everyone who stayed last night checked out at noon so they hadn't cleaned the rooms yet. However the GM just sat on her computer in her office and the head housekeeper just talked to the GM goofing off. Both of them could've helped clean rooms if that's what the case was. The GM did not try to fix an actual problem. The poor front desk person was flustered due to angry other guests and no support from the GM.
Multiple guests were calling the front desk with problems with their rooms after they checked in too, we could hear it all while we waited in the lobby. More and more guests were told the same thing with same excuses and more and more guests continued to get angry.
No room service, no promised amenities including breakfast and the restaurant. The "in room coffee maker" is a joke and the smallest one I've ever seen. There was a loud party going on in the parking lot until after 2am that could be heard from any room in the front of the hotel too.
Upon checkout the GM checked us out, no greeting from her, no asking how our stay was.
Overall it was a terrible experience, we will not be staying here again.

Upon check in, our room was hot and although they switched us to another room, it was not the same type. They had no more double bed rooms. The next room had air conditioning that worked but grout was missing from bathroom floor tiles, there was what I’m assuming a booger on curtains and on wall next to curtains, hallway noise was loud inside room, WiFi did not work at all the 2nd night. They did not give us clean towels the next day of stay nor did they vacuum our room. The bathroom shower also squeeked all through the shower. We stayed at hotel with a group and many people had air conditioning problems and noise complaints.

Nice hotel rooms, beautiful lobby and restaurant for a reasonable price. The hotel is located in close proximity to very good restaurants. Breakfast vouchers to allow credit toward purchases of breakfast in the hotel restaurant can be part of the hotel package.

Really dark and unsafe parking lot that was completely unlit. my female co worker felt unsafe. Breakfast was only served after most business travellers have to leave for work and the room was not made up once during 3 night stay

We would like to apologize that your stay was not what you expected or deserved. We recently took over management of this location and are in the process of making improvements. We do have a contractor who has ordered new light fixtures and will be installing them once they arrive. Your room should have been serviced on the third day of your stay. Thank you for letting us know so we can address that with our housekeeping team.

I'm not sure if I stayed at the same hotel as a lot of these positive reviews? This hotel is in bad shape. We had 3 rooms over the weekend - the first one smelled like cigarettes so bad we requested to move. In all of them the showers were moldy, the bathroom tile was loose and crunchy under your feet, the drywall is cracked and in poor shape in some spots, the shower valve plate was broken and loose, the shower curtain rod was broken and sagging. It's as if they bought a run down Super 8, slapped some grey paint on it and put in some new carpet and called it good. Not what I was expecting when paying a premium to stay at a Radisson. Needless to say I won't be staying here again when there are so many other options nearby. I highly recommend skipping this place.

We traveled to Ames to visit our son at ISU and take in a football game. The room quality was not great for $300 per night, and we will look to stay in another location next time. Not worth the money.
