We loved the stay at Villa Boscardi. In the middle of the city, the villa felt like an escape to the countryside. The property was small but perfect to accommodate a comfortable amount of guests. It is comfortable, very clean with a very comfortable bed and a really great working AC, must appreciated in the heat of Belize. Best of all was the tailored attention by the staff to us when we checked in as well as breakfast that was included in our stay. Andrea was so nice and accommodating, providing us cold towels upon our arrival and drinks she prepared. For breakfast, she asked us what we would like and she made exactly what we requested including the Fry Jacks that I love! Such service made us feel right at home! We wished we had an opportunity to stay longer because of it!

This was my second time in Belize and wanted to stay the first night someplace other than “The Hotel” AKA, the Biltmore, that most adventures trips use. Slickrock adventures suggested this B&B am glad they did. For a solo traveler like myself the total price was significantly less that the hotel and the atmosphere more relaxing after a LONG day of travel getting to Belize. The lodging is within a 5 minute walk of the waterfront and a tasty restaurant (WARNING: it is closed on Mondays! So I ate there for Tuesday lunch.) I found the neighborhood comfortable to walk around, though it is an interesting blend of clearly high end houses, including the Panamanian embassy, and trashed & long abandoned houses. The staff was very welcoming and I had great fun chatting with the owner at Bfast in the morning. Overall: highly recommended.

Thanks to Villa Boscardi, I had the best birthday of my life! The owner, Ms. Lays made me feel like family, long before my arrival. I spoke with her several times before my stay to discuss accommodations and excursions, and she basically planned my entire week long trip. She gave awesome recommendations for everything from car rentals, restaurants, transportation, activities, and sight seeing. The recommendations she gave allowed my friends and I to cut costs so that we could get the most bang for our buck. We were able to do so much, and I truly feel it would not have been possible without her thoughtful guidance, even taking the liberty to book excursions for us.

The rooms and common areas are very clean and well lit. There is hand sanitizer available everywhere and temperatures are checked upon arrival. I know that traveling during the pandemic was risky, so thankfully Villa Boscardi did their part to make us feel safe.

The housekeeper, Kendra, was TRULY AMAZING! She went above and beyond and always gave service with a smile (you can tell when someone is smiling through a mask). She made the most amazing breakfast every day, with variety, each equally as delicious as the next. I can honestly say that her breakfast was one of the best parts of the trip. She also gave great recommendations for must try food around the city that the locals love. Her recommendations did not disappoint.

I don’t like to travel to the same country more than once, because there are so many places I’d like to see, however after staying at Villa Boscardi, I’m contemplating another trip to Belize. I absolutely loved it here and would recommend to anyone looking for a charming, home away from home feel. You’ll know and feel that they truly care about yourself experience at every level.

This hotel is very nice and it's located in a residential area. We were greeted when we arrived and they gave us the keys to the room and the locking outside door and gate. The rooms are as beautiful as they are on their website, and they come with heat and A/C. Breakfast in the morning is a hot meal with fruit, eggs, a starch, toast, and a meat. The cooks made it to order. The host is very helpful in terms of providing suggestions about things to do and places to eat. There are several places to eat for lunch and dinner that are within walking distance of the B&B. Overall, this was a great experience and I'd definitely be willing to stay here again!

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Boscardi and absolutely would come back.

The staff was friendly and helpful; we enjoyed breakfast with Ryan (the manager) each day as he joined us and made himself available to help us make plans, catch a ride and so on. Breakfast was served to us almost as if it was restaurant style which truly elevated the experience. And our room was clean and comfortable.

Not only did Francoise have a taxi cab waiting for us when we arrived but also arranged and provided an incredible couple days in Belize City. James was the first person we met and we ended up using his taxi service for the three days we were in Belize City. From stopping for fresh, roadside cashews and coconut water, he was very acknowledgeable about the area and always on time. The next person we met was Ohra who greeted us at Villa Boscardi with fresh lime juice and made us a delicious breakfast every morning. She also had our room beautifully tidy when we came back after a long day of sight seeing. Then, we had the pleasure of meeting Francoise. We arrived on Friday morning and immediately she was helping us plan our weekend which first included lunch. She drove us to a lovely Lebanese restaurant. From there we walked to Travellers Rum Museum then back to Villa Boscardi with a quick stop at the Belize Sign just a few blocks away. Villa Boscardi is also walking distance to Brodie's and a bank so we were able to get more cash and some snacks. On Saturday Francoise met with us for breakfast as we headed off to Lamani which she arranged. James picked us up and off we went for an incredible day. On Sunday Francoise arranged a day for us on Caye Caulker on Carlos' catamaran. An absolutely incredible day of snorkeling. We arrive back around 6pm on Sunday and Francoise was right there to help us order pizza which she went and picked up for us. We left early Monday morning with Francoise sending us off with egg sandwiches as we caught an early morning flight to San Pedro. As we left we wondering how we could possibly be so lucky to find Francoise and Villa Boscardi. A true gem!!

This is my first time in a B&B. I must write: The staff are beyond exceptional! Carlette is a gem. She checks on all guests, very attentive, makes breakfast meals to align with allergy restrictions. It really gets no better than Carlette. Carla is the most cheery individual. She is like a song bird in the morning. As our breakfast host, we look forward to seeing her face. Carlette and Carla work so well together. They even helped a couple celebrate their two-person wedding ceremony and took photos for them. That kind of service is unheard of. Jobie is the manager, and is quiet, but she addresses issues if there are any. Jobie assisted my colleague while she wasn't feeling well, late at night. She walked down from her room in her night lounge attire. That is service.

For the Owner: There are structural issues to address. 1. Room 4, the shower head needs to be changed. There is limestone buildup (or just old), which is not removed with bleach (I tried). Also, the air does not fully cool, check the a/c. 2. Room 6, there is a moldy odor and the air does not work properly. My colleague had to change rooms. 3. Room 7, repair the separated sheetrock on the wall beside the bed. My second colleague was not happy and for the nightly price, the room needs to be a room you would sleep in. They both changed rooms and shared the room that was available.

Would I stay at this B&B again, if the staff is here - yes. If in a room, outside of the rooms with issues, yes. It is the staff that make this B&B.

A nice clean little villa with great service and friendly people. The owner spends time to meet with each guest. They were very helpful with booking our trip to the zoo and provided some good suggestions for dining. If you stay here make sure to walk over to the Belamari Restaurant and order the Snapper. It's the best we had in Belize!
The owner is european and the artistic and cultural touches make this a great place to stay.

Wonderful, warm, welcoming staff made an extra effort to ensure we had everything we needed. Room was small, fine for 1-night,  very comfortable bed and pillows. The dipping pool is perfect for a quick cool down and the poolside lounging area and gardens were refreshing in the heat. Quiet residential neighborhood, a block from the ocean (no swimming but it is a nice walk); otherwise not a lot in the area. We certainly felt safe walking around. We were happy with the breakfast, indoor and outdoor seating and food was delicious.

This place was absolutely amazing! The owner/manager Françoise was simply delightful and came to personally meet us and chat with us when we arrived. She even offered to drive us into town to get food since we arrived so late. The next day, she came and chatted with us again as we had homemade breakfast and fry jacks with beans and fresh juice.

The rooms was clean, well kept with AC and right next to the sea. Her helper, Ofre (I believe thats's) was also AMAZING. She was very helpful and was the one who did the cleaning and cooking. I can't say more amazing things!

What is there to do around the villa in an evening? Thank you
Answer from Torrie S
Winter Garden, Florida260 contributions30 helpful votes
Absolutely. Call Villa and the caretaker will arrange for someone to pick you up from another hotel. If you like. Your first hotel can make all of Our ride arrangements. The whole country is so supportive of moving travelers from one place to another. They really like to keep you with one driver. Each hotel have their preferred drivers and taxi company. If arranged right, you can have the same driver the entire trip or at least most of your trip. Your driver can also serve as your tour guide. Our driver drove us to the Mayans, guided us through the Mayans, brought us lunch and it was all included with our reservation for the tour.
