Probably one of the best hotels on Caye Caulker. Probably a little pricey by local standards, but nicely finished and well maintained. The snorkeling and fishing tours seem expensive compared to some, but they are private. My wife and I had a boat and guide to ourselves for snorkelling and it was great. I am not very good at it and kind of scared of the whole swiming in the ocean thing and benefitted greatly from the one-on-one support. The penthouse was beautiful, but requires climbing three flights of stairs. No bid deal, but could be a poor choice for some. The pool was nice and well cared for and the dock provides access to sea swimming and sunning.

The Penthouse definitely was beyond our expectations! Weezie’s doesn’t owe us a thing. Clean & well kept property that we hope to stay at again. Adorable & attentive restaurant with full bar and menu. Private pool that’s relaxing & gorgeous. Rented bicycles for the week to ride to sightseeing. Huge balcony, Cold A/C, 5 gallon purified water in kitchen, plenty of windows to see the ocean views. 5 Star!

We just went to weezies for 6 nights and had the best time. The snorkeling trips and fishing trips were awesome and we swam every day in the pool and read books on the dock. Food was tremendous and we biked everyday!

The cottages had lovely trees and flowers around the quiet pool. The cottages function like an AirBnB attached to a full service resort. Weezie's boat picked us up at our hotel far north on Ambergris Caye, and we had a blissful day snorkeling our way from that dock to Weezie's dock. John, the boat captain, gave us a personalized, private experience where we saw amazing coral and sea life at a spot where we were the only ones in the water.

The resort was small and perfect. Super clean, beds super comfy and staff very accommodating. Loved taking a private scuba adventure and hanging out on boat docks. If you are looking for a quaint relaxing spot, this is definitely it.

I stayed at the Purple Cottage for 5 days and 4 nights. The interior is cute and clean. I did get more insect bites inside the cottage than from the outside. The first 2 days of my trip, it was pouring rain and I was indoors almost all day and got several bug bites while lying on the bed. The cottage is about a 5-7 minute walk from the resort proper. The cottages are a good 35-40 minute walk to the Split. I timed it and from the cottage to Ice n Beans, it is 21 minutes. It is hard to hail any taxi at this end of island. You need to call for one, and when you are elsewhere and trying to come back here, you need to tell the taxi driver you want to come to Weezies Cabins or else they will take you to the hotel. The phone box at the yellow cottage has 3 numbers listed for taxis here. I called all 3 numbers and got voicemail for all of them. If you want a taxi, you need to call the front desk and have them order one for you. One thing I was disappointed in was the noise level. The first 2 nights I was here (Sunday and Monday), it was extremely noisy at night. The purple cottage sits facing a road and you can hear all the road traffic. I’m a light sleeper and could hear it above my white noise and earplugs. The reason I chose this place is because I thought it would be really quiet. In the morning, you hear planes flying in and out, and I could hear traffic noises till well past midnight. On Monday night, I heard extremely loud music coming from down the street. During the day, there’s several properties around the cottages that are undergoing construction so there is drilling and hammering. I found it very hard to relax with so much noise. Tuesday and Wednesday nights were much more quiet. There’s no phone in the cottage to call the front desk, which they should rectify asap. There’s a phone outside but if it’s raining, you’ll get soaked getting to it. Room maintenance is also very very slow. I emailed asking for an extra blanket and received it at least 5 hours later. My AC unit remote control’s batteries died and I called and asked them to come fix or provide new batteries and no one came for hours. I ended up taking the batteries from my alarm clock and using those instead or else this room would have turned into a sauna. I wanted to rent a bike and they didn’t have any available in my size. When I wanted to book their full day snorkeling trip, they said I couldn’t go solo and they required minimum 2 ppl to book the trip, and no one else had booked a trip when I wanted to go. I found it ironic how much they heavily promoted their snorkeling trips but then when I wanted to go, they said I couldn’t. I really wish the resort would have some sort of outdoor shower or water faucet where you could rinse your feet off before going into the cottages. The bathroom is at the other end of the cottage far from the door and SO MUCH SAND gets inside. I stomped and tried to get the sand off before entering but there’s always a mountain of sand near the front door and no sweeping broom or mop inside. As a result, there is a ton of sand inside the cottage, which is super uncomfortable and dirty. The maid cleaned it up when she came, but afterwards when you go in and out, you’re bringing in loads of sand again. The beach in front of the resort isn’t great. The water near the shore is brown and smells bad. I had dinner two nights at the hotel and the food is very basic and expensive given the portions. Fish fillet plate was $20 USD. Shrimp scampi was just shrimp with spaghetti noodles with one drink $31 USD. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. It’s very expensive given what you get. For the price you’re paying, you should be given bike rentals for free. The staff were kind and took great care in cleaning the pool and grounds. I did very much appreciate the complimentary ride to and from the airport.

Everything about Weezie’s was exceptional. Anna, the café hostess was so kind and her banana bread was delicious. The grounds were kept perfectly clean, and every person that we worked with was so nice and accommodating. The massage therapists were excellent.

Weezie’s is the perfect location. Caye Caulker is quiet but Weezie’s is nestled at the south end of the Caye and is perfect place to wind down. The staff was amazing and super friendly, our first night Zander took us out on a sunset cruise and it was the perfect start to a great vacation. The food prepared at Weezie’s was always spot on and I can say enough about the Purple Cottage! We definitely be back.

My husband and I stayed for a week, and we loved it! The grounds are very well maintained, and it is evident that the people who work at Weezie's take a lot of pride in the property. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We did the full day snorkeling tour and it was wonderful! Our guide Xander was very knowledgeable about the best locations to snorkel and taught us about different kinds of sea life we could see. The staff at Weezie's restaurant were so polite and accommodating. Great food and great drinks!! The housekeepers came every morning (not too early) to see if we needed anything and would clean our room. The beach is gorgeous, and the pier with the lounge chairs was one of the best places to relax on the whole island. Weezie's was also super close to the small airport (we walked there and it was so easy, even with our luggage.) I appreciated that Weezie's was a tiny bit away from the "center" of the village, but not so far that we couldn't walk or bike easily. In fact, we didn't use a golf cart even once. We rented the bikes from Weezie's for the whole week and it was one of my favorite things about this vacation. It's so relaxing to bike down the beach or the dirt road and get a fresh seafood dinner and a cocktail. Our room was the small studio, which didn't have an ocean view, but in my opinion, it wasn't necessary because we could just walk a few steps to the beach and enjoy the view. We used our nice patio with tropical plants and two chairs to have morning coffee or a nightcap. We were also very thankful for the large jug of water in our room and we refilled our water bottles multiple times per day. I would highly recommend Weezie's to anyone visiting Caye Caulker!
