The hardest bed I have ever experienced. Do not book off of pictures alone, my friend made the booking and what we saw and what we got were two different experiences. There were only three outlets total in the room (1 for the TV and a free plug in up high on the wall, one that could be used for the fridge with a free plug in, and 1 in the bathroom). Our room was clean. I didn't mind the grave yard, but no where does it mention that it is there (some people could see that as bad juju). The pool was nice and we did get good service there. I was not sure the restaurant was actually open, no one was ever there. It is located near the action of Caye Caulker so location is ok. Did not keep the grounds clean, yes seaweed is part of nature, but according to locals we spoke to, this hotel does not keep up on the cleaning of it, and once you are behind the smell is atrocious. As you walk around the other parts of the island you will note they don't have the same smell issues as this location does. Also did experience the construction noises as well, that I do understand can't be helped

The facilities were just ok. Rooms were dark & small, little to no amenities, and you had to pay to refill your water, which I’ve never had at any hotel. The staff were nice & the pool was great. However, my biggest complaint was the beds were extremely uncomfortable! My back was so sore from sleeping in the bed we checked out early & moved locations. I asked for a refund but they denied me. I totally understand some reasons for refunds are out of their control, but when a customer checks out because of something that lacks at the hotel I strongly believe a refund is due! I was quite upset because it totally made my stay in Caye Caulker uncomfortable & yet we loved the place so much. I would not recommend this hotel for this reason.

Stayed at this budget friendly location, it turned out to an expensive mistake…. As they ran my credit card again, without authorization. My authorization form was given back cleared at check out. The place itself is creepy: front yard is a graveyard, the island’s cemetery is between the hotel and the sea. Backyard? A construction site that is very loud Fron 7am. The management? Rude. Short of staff meaning you don’t know if they will clean the room. Rooms are painted in obnoxious yellow and orange, utilities are old and rusty, plenty of bugs in the rooms. Beds… i like a hard mattress but this, si uncomfortable we could not sleep. They are charging for guests to refill drinking water. There are so many other options for budget friendly hotels in Caye Caulker… this one is better avoided.

Good location, air conditioning works well, pretty good wifi and has golf cart parking. Apart from that, not much to recommend. Housekeeping was minimal. Sheets were not changed and the bathroom was not cleaned for 9 days. They basically made the bed, emptied the garbage and sometimes swept (never washed) the floor. Consistently there very late in the day (after 4:30) to “clean” the room. There were no towels for pool use (had to use room towels) and seating at the pool was extremely uncomfortable….wooden loungers with no cushions….and limited, as people who are not guests of the hotel can use the pool and the seating there. The advertised restaurant was not open (no cook), there was no safe, no water, no cups or glasses, (when we requested some, they brought us 2 paper cups). Went to the office a few times to ask for things (more hangers, clean towels) and found that unless you stand there and wait for them to get you what you are asking for, they say sure, sure and never show up. Ceiling fans worked well to cool the room but were so noisy it was impossible to sleep. Had to use the a/c. Beds were comfortable but squeaky. Noisy construction next door. No beach and the smell from the sargassum on the shore was disgusting. (Obviously not the fault of the hotel, but the smell definitely made our stay less enjoyable.)

Spent 9 days here. No sheet change, no bathroom clean.....not once. At 5 pm someone came by to empty our garbage and once in a while sweep the floor. There is NO restaurant and booking advertised a coffee maker, a safe and a jacuzzi tub. We paid extra for the tub which didn't work and leaked, no coffeemaker and there were no safes in the whole complex. They brought us one but didn't attach it to anything. The office is always full of staff doing nothing and the pool chairs are full of people not staying at the hotel. Never again. Beware.

My wife and I had a pleasant stay here. The place was quite charming and the grounds were clean and well maintained. The room left a little to be desired as one fan wasn't working properly and the shower was bad. The staff was awesome though. I got a chance to chat with an employee about living in Belize and he was open and friendly. Not the fault of the hotel, but we were woken up early by the construction project next door. Probably could have found better accommodations, but we were on a budget so we ended up here. We were told that it was Belizean owned so that is a plus. Didn't have any regrets choosing this place for our stay in Caye Caulker.

As part of an organized group tour, we spent three nights here on Caye Caulker. I was very happy with this accommodation. It was a bit removed from all the commotion, had a pool, a pool bar, a pier leading into the sea with a couple of deck chairs, an on-site restaurant, and clean rooms. The rooms had great AC, a clean and spacious bathroom with hot water, TV, a small table and a chair, strong Internet. Nothing fancy but it was comfortable for two people. The hotel is a 10 min walk to the water taxi dock to Belize City and San Pedro. I spent some time every day in the hammock right outside our room. Lovely! Be sure to bring plenty of mosquito/bug spray and sunscreen. There's everything in walking distance. A small supermarket for water is a few steps away and for breakfast I recommend Amor y Cafe. The hotel felt quiet at night which was great. No outside guests are allowed on the premise at night. I slept so well here.

Great place to get a nice quiet, clean, and tidy cabana near the water, close to all restaurants, grocery stores, and lots of shops and bars. Reasonable prices.. There, building a brand new pool in front, constantly updating, down by the new pool there's a nice lady named ERICA and she runs one of the best places to get tours out to the reef for snorkeling, diving, feeding the tarpon and so much more..GOLD STANDARD! GREAT JOB GUY'S! Update guys who is done the place looks great all the new addons and Reclamation for the front is gone it looks wonderful and please stop and see, ERICA if you want to get the best deal on anything from snorkeling to Midnight tours.. Now I know why their current rates are discounted so much. I might have missed something when I was booking it online but the pool was still under construction so no pool-and also construction noise-even a little on the weekend though when I checked in on a Friday the manager who had no accent at all (aka-used to living in the US) said there would be no construction noise over the weekend "as far as she knew"-which was not true. There was noise-just not saws and hammers. Also when I was checking in, I asked, as I always do, does the wifi really actually work since I didn't know C. Caulker and need to be able to research restaurants and activities. The front desk person said yes it was good. Not true. Could not even connect to a website. My girlfriend and I had already unpacked. They did move us to another, slightly larger room AFTER this they actually had the gall to suggest I just use the open air restaurant area without any AC in the high heat. This room was below a second floor room so we had to listen to someone walk around at night in that unit and the wifi was OK-only good enough to browse but not stream anything. After the move, the TV worked but not the volume-they never solved that issue during our 3 day stay-and I just gave up after that. Oh and the mini fridge didn't work-they finally fixed that on our second morning there. Further, the hotel abuts upon a local cemetery next to the beach and since it is not maintained the piles of sargassum seaweed's stench drifts all over their grounds-not pleasant at all-perhaps their staff could maintain it daily instead since they have skin in the game here and it would take a staffer probably about 30 mins. a day to remove the sargassum from the front of the cemetery at the sea like they do in front of their hotel. Further, on our second morning, I asked about why they hadn't cleaned our room after we went out for the day after our first morning. They said they don't do it unless we asked-of course they never told me in advance I needed to do this. Priceless. Otherwise the rooms were clean though spartan though with unmatching fixtures (the wall light sconces above the beds, for example, were nice and modern in the first room we had to abandon due to the wifi but the ones in the second were old and ugly). Finally, the location is bad. It is south of the water taxi pier. The best part of the Caye is north of that-this was my first time on Caye Caulker so lesson learned. In short, I would recommend looking for a hotel in that area and definitely NOT stay at this place.

Facility was fine. Nice little cabin with private bath. Warm water in shower too! Close to everything. Housekeeping staff excellent and very accomadating. (Nice staff except for one young girl who needs some training!!) On-site restaurant and bar has such great staff! (Mama and Jewel went all-out to take care of every guest!) Do have some negatives tho. Construction noise while they are building a pool is very loud all day... even down by the dock. Also, I paid almost $100 for a snorkel trip but got sick the night before and let them know. The staff knew this... but next morning they still refused to give me even a partial refund. It's things like that that people remember!
