If you’re visiting Caye Caulker, definitely stay at Blu Zen. It’s north of the split, so they have a complementary boat that will take you to the south side and back. The staff was amazing. From the moment we arrived, they treated us like royalty. We’ll definitely be returning next year!

The staff was great and very attentive to issues, plan excursion and general needs. Jairo was especially helpful. We stayed in H3 which was a penthouse top floor in the front row by the beach. The view was incredible and the penthouse comes with a roof top lounge area where you can watch the sunrise and sunset. It was clean and air conditioner worked great, Wi-Fi was not great but suitable enough to watch videos. The resort in general is quiet. There is one chlorinated pool and two salt water pools. There is a free water taxi that goes throughout the day to the South side which is “Split” from the Northside because of a hurricane in 1961. One day we rode the free bikes to the split, paid $2.50 to cross on a pontoon with bikes and rode around on the south side. In general, I felt safe but once or twice there were a couple of people who made cat calls. We did the half day snorkel with Salvatore for $50 which was awesome, then we booked the full day which wasn’t as good and we ended up on a boat with 12 partying 20 something’s, which was awful. I recommend the half day, the full day is only an hour or so longer. Snorkeling in general was average (I am an avid snorkeler), the highlight was Shark Ray alley where you can swim with nurse sharks and rays. You have to do a tour for real snorkeling - there isn’t really snorkeling right off the beach. . One day we took the Belize water taxi to San Pedro for a day trip. Lotus, the onsite restaurant - Chef Daniel did an amazing job catering to my vegan diet! I gave him a list of what I eat and he made special meals each night for me and my 2 vegan friends. - This was the highlight for me! I wanted to see the Blue Hole which is a 2 hour boat ride and locals said it was more of a diving spot and not worth snorkeling. We took a tour by private plane for about $750 which was amazing! Challenges When they took us to the unit they said the desalination wasn’t working and we would have to buy water, they told us we could get a 5 gallon water but would have to pay 15 for the container, they eventually offered to supply the jug at no charge. I think it was 5 for the water but no pump or dispenser was included. Used Sponge - but they brought us a new one when we asked No blankets - one friend needed one but they don’t have any (shrug) No closet to hang clothes in master bedroom Sargassum Seaweed - AWFUL and general happens in March and April, it smells awful and you cant use the beach. We had the most amazing honeymoon here. The staff became family, the food was amazing, and the location is serene. The beautiful pools and beach views are amazing!! Highly recommend for a nice relaxing vacation. 💗 we will be back!!!!

Amazing place to relax and be taken care of. Accommodations very spacious and private. We enjoyed being far enough away from the busy part of Caye Caulker yet only a 10 minute FREE boat ride away. Leron, our host, made sure all of our needs were met including transportation to and from the airport. Zane made sure lounge chairs were placed on the beach under the shady palm trees as the sun is quite strong. We enjoyed the services the staff coordinated for us including spa, bikes, golf carts, etc. food at both restaurants was awesome. We will definitely return!

This resort really made a lasting imprint in my memories! The location and atmosphere is wonderful, but the true stars are the staff! Everyone I had the pleasure of encountering were phenomenal, especially Leron. Fantastic resort with fantastic customer service. Leron met us at the dock and made us feel like family every step of the way. He and his supervisor did an amazing job for my girlfriend’s birthday. This place is a true gem on the island and I haven’t seen any other resort like it while on the island. I can’t wait to go back.

Really comfortable property. The air conditioning worked great and was much appreciated! The property is huge, with three pools, a bar, restaurant, more casual restaurant, and food shop. All of the employees were super helpful and friendly, including especially Leron in the main office and Joel at the bar. Keep in mind if you stay here that you’re staying on the quieter side of the island. If you want to be more in the mix, you may want to stay on the south side of the island. But we found it easy to get back and forth on the Blu Zen ferry and enjoyed being in a more relaxing space.

We absolutely loved our stay in Carmen’s condo (Q1). I have no words how amazing she was from the time we booked the stay to the time we left. Her communication was excellent, she gave us lots of information what to do in Caye Caulker, how to arrange transportation, etc. Blu Zen itself is also incredible and very quiet and relaxing. Carmen’s condo is very modern and beautiful. The beds were super comfortable. And the staff at Blu Zen will do anything for you. Incredible stay at Blu Zen, Q1!

We were treated like royalty Our stay at the Blu Zen was magical! As soon as we arrived off the boat, we were escorted to our accommodations, in which we were very satisfied. Our condo was very clean and comfortable. We always felt safe in the resort and on the island itself. There were beautiful morning sunrises, and sunsets in the evening. It was great enjoying three pools that were clean, pretty and not overcrowded. We enjoyed some of the amenities that the resort had to offer. There are bikes which we used many times to go on fun excursions around the island. One day we kayaked to the estuary and back. We really enjoyed biking to the different restaurants and exploring the island. All of the people on the island that work in the restaurants in at the little shops are so very kind and hospitable. The staff at the Blu Zen went over and above our expectations as far as getting tours ready for us. We enjoyed a snorkeling tour in the barrier reef and were able to swim with nurse sharks and stingrays. We also got to feed Tarpons and enjoyed seeing dolphins that swam right by our boat with a baby dolphin! The fish in the barrier reef were just beautiful, and the purple sea fans were amazing . They also booked us a birding tour with a trip to some Mayan Ruins just for us!!! 😀 the food and drinks are great as well. So thank you Blue Zen for such a great and memorable vacation. ❤️…

A perfect ending to the 10 day stay in the islands of Belize. Staff, accommodations, cleanliness all A+. Hourly boats to south Caye Caulker made it a stress free stay. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets seem from the penthouse rooftop every night. So much to see and do. Will definitely be back!
