Amanda's Place is a small owner-run slice of paradise. It has 3 different types of accommodation, from the large 3 bedroom home called Casita Carinosa to the smaller and more rustic one bedroom home of Casa Amancer with the two additional suites called Amanda's Place. They each have a different configuration, but all have some kind of kitchen, WIFI, queen beds, fans, and A/C (not in Casa Amancer). Rented individually or together it is one of most attractive places to be with the lush tropical garden and the delightful swimming pool. Hammocks abound, and roof top terrace ensures your privacy. The pool is shared by everyone. It is set off the beach by about 150 feet and on the main street north/south called Front Street. Beach, bars, restaurants, tour shops, grocery stores are all within a 5 minute walk.

I was supposed to make this trip when Covid hit. I finally made it to the simply gorgeous island of Caye Caulker. Amanda's seemed perfect for my needs. I stayed in the Green Casita. Right next to a terrific plunge pool. My unit was very clean Well equipped. Most everything one could want was there. Got to do a shout out to Abner. Your service was extraordinary. You could not find a better host. He arranged everything from their preferred driver from the airport in Belize City to a cab to the location as well as a great golf cart from Extreme Carts. Thank you Abner for everything. You really made my visit fantastic.

The staff at Amanda's place were very welcoming and communicative before and during our stay. The location was great and accessible - it was easy to walk everywhere on Caye Caulker, yet the hotel was away from the loudest/most bustling parts of the island. The room was clean and well-appointed.

I have been travelling to Caye Caulker for 20 years, and have stayed at Amanda's at least a dozen times. The accommodations are extremely clean, comfy and centrally located. I have stayed in the main house and in the individual rooms next door. Both are excellent choices depending on your needs. The property is beautiful and well maintained. There is an iguana who loves to sun himself in the afternoon on a tree stump in the courtyard. He is a welcome sight annually. The location is ideal. A 10 minute walk in any direction will get you to anywhere you need or want to go. At night it is a peaceful location to sit out on your porch, enjoy a cocktail and prepare for a good night's sleep. In 2019 Amanda was gracious enough to allow my fiance and I to hold our wedding ceremony on her private beach! We held the ceremony at dawn and her beach was the perfect location to exchange vows at sunrise!!! I can not say enough good things about Amanda and this wonderful place to call home while you are on Caye Caulker!

We stayed at Amanda's during a dive trip as a couple plus two single divers. There was hot water in the main bathroom but none in the shared bathroom of the other two bedrooms. Not good, when after 3 hours underwater, one wants warm up and desalt. Toilettes strain to flush properly as well. The rest of the property was ok. AC in the bedrooms only, but that was fine. Sitting on the outside porch was the best activity Not worth near the $141usd/night I paid as a couple. Amanda herself was a good host. psh-Tucson

Response from Amanda Badger, Owner at Amanda's Place

What a shame. I wish you had mentioned something about the shower that you say did not work in the bathroom you did not use. I visited daily with you all and asked EVERY time if there were any problems or anything that needed attention. You never once mentioned the shower or toilet issue. Toilets here flush perfectly well but perhaps not with the force you may be used to as we had just suffered two back to back late season hurricane rainfall and flooding. I checked the shower the moment the review was published and again just now and there was hot water on both occasions. You found it easy enough to contact me when you fell and hit your head so I came out at night to get you to the doctor for stitches in your head and personally came to check on you afterwards. A more useful way of getting things seen to would have been to mention it at the time rather than wait until you are home - hard to keep you happy when your hosts don't know what your issues are at the time. As you know I live 200 feet away so it is not too hard to communicate your issues.

The small residence is very well located. Right in the city center and not very far from the pier. We stayed in Casa Amancer. It’s an all-wood Creole house upstairs. We therefore have a small sea view. No air conditioning but natural ventilation through a system of shutters which can be adjusted to let the air pass more or less. The accommodation is not new but it is cute and very functional. The residence offers a swimming pool to cool off and the exteriors are filled with colorful plants. A good address!

We booked the upstairs Casa Amancer and the two downstairs rooms for our family's holiday visit, and it was excellent in all respects. Our granddaughter enjoyed the pool, our daughters relaxed in their separate spaces, and we enjoyed the view, the (well equipped) kitchen, and the great location. Amanda was super attentive to our needs and wants. We'll be back!

What a nice location. So handy to everything on the beach, yet quiet for early to bed! Our Yellow Studio was small but adequate. Air conditioning worked well. Pool was nice, but cool. It’s deep! The staff are all amazing and so quick to help when needed. Absolutely recommend this lovely place.

The amazing reviews on Trip Advisor are what led us to Amanda's Place and are so happy that we trusted those reviews. We stayed on the lower level of Amanda's Place and were there 7 days. In that time we went from Caye Caulker noobs to never wanting to leave. Amanda really is the perfect host. Having her make arrangements for a cab from the city to the water taxi was a great relief for us on our first trip to Belize. She met us at the dock and drove us to her place and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was impeccably clean and the A/C worked great at night (we didn't need it during the day).
You know how they always say in real estate "location, location, location"? Well, Amanda's Place really is in the most perfect location on the island. We made tons of walks to the split and back and it was no problem at all. Her location is very quiet, but it's not too far out of the way.
There are not a lot of places with pools on the island so it was great to have a pool of our own at Amanda's. WHEN, not if, we go back to Caye Caulker, we will be staying with Amanda.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Ananda's Place for four nights and could not have been happier with our stay. Amanda was very welcoming and came to pick us u from the water taxi. Our room was beautiful- well decorated, cool, extremely clean. Not to mention the pool that is perfect for a dip at the end of the day. The place is also very well located on the main street. We really had an incredible time and hope to be back soon!

You an see the sea from the porch of Amanda’s Place units and the Casa Amancer and the pool but not from the Casita Carinosa - the sea is 150 feet away though and there is another property between us.
There are more places to choose from in the Caye Caulker area.
