Highly recommended:

Best location for a bare foot experience! I totally enjoyed the every minute of my stay at the Barefoot Hotel. The moment I arrived the young lady offered to make a fresh pit of coffee. All the reception staff is very caring, very professional, smiling, helpful! I saw them helping guests with luggage, free bikes, ideas for tours! The hotel is next to small market, across from resturants, next to row of grills, Ester Crusty Lobster, near Hibbue Jibbie fir fresh coconut water, near Ice and beans fir juice and coffee, near magic cup for wraps! Food and fun is waiting for you at 8sland speed, 8 am to late evening. Safe! Rooms: Clean. Shower: Hot and cold. Breakfast: Quite generous on time at 8 am to 9 am daily. Thick toast. Fresh bread. Ripe bananas. Cheese. Jellies. Fresh pot of coffee. Strawberry yogurt. The staff hatd working. House keeping is continous from 7 am to 5 pm. Everyone is nice! Some rooms also have kitchen. Some rooms have hot and cold water dispensers. A hot and cold water dispenser in reception. Pool is clean. Many guests loved the pool. There is lovely swimming area very near the Sip and Dip resturant. Everything is available to guests for totally safe, comfortable, enjoyable vacation. I say it is the best place to stay in the Caye Caulker, Belize. I spent my entire vacation at the Barefoot Caye Caulker, Belize. Totally highly recommended! Thank you staff of the hotel Barefoot Caye Caulker, Belize!

If visiting Caye Caulker, Belize C.A. then Barefoot Caye Caulker Hotel is the place to stay. They have your pockets and comfort in mind. The place I understand was recently bought and rennovated, all areas and rooms were exquisitely designed with modern furniture and fittings, very clean and inviting. Staff displayed an attentive attitude and we were fortunate to meet the hotel's owner who had took his staff out that same weekend so all guest were treated to lunch and evening BBQ. We were gifted complimentary yeti cups the huge ones that cost same price if not more for the cost of the rooms.

The ambiance is on point and located on the main literally a stone's throw away the split where everyone swims. Overall we were treated like family and that's the experience I look for when I leave the comfort of my home to stay at a hotel.
Barefoot Hotel is my new favorite location in Caye Caulker!

Below is a picture of my daughter showing off the cup we got.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we ended up booking a second time.
It's very central on the island. They have bikes for free use.
The staff is all very friendly. We shared some good laughs with the bartender kahlid.
There is water coolers in the room which is a huge bonus as we hate plastic water bottles. We brought our own refillable water bottles.
The beds were really comfortable and clean. We didn't have a fridge but requested one and they put one in the room for us.
The tvs have Netflix which is nice for when it's raining out.
Breakfast is basic. Hot coffee, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit and fresh bread for toast.
There is lots of areas to hang out and lounge.
The pool needs a solar blanket as it is cold.
The shower was cold most of the time. A tankless water heater for the shower would be beneficial.
Staff were all super nice and helpful.
All in all we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to ppl.
Other places we enjoyed was the sip n dip, they are just before the lazy lizard but have better service and food.
Ice n beans had good frappes and cinnamon buns.

Barefoot Caye Caulker Hotel was the most modern, affordable hotel I could find in Caye Caulker 2 months before our trip. The front desk staff were very friendly and happy to make recommendations. Khalid, the bartender, is really a standout - great guy! We loved chatting with him. Unfortunately, our room (112) didn't have hot water our entire stay. I reported to the office and showed the housekeeper the issue and she confirmed it was broken and told me she would report to the office as well. I believe there was an issue with turning the knob - it just wouldn't go to hot. So after our freezing cold full day sailing trip, all we wanted was a hot shower and couldn't have one. For a newer hotel, we found the bathrooms (specifically tile) to need better upkeep.
It rained our entire stay so we didn't get to see as much of the island as we would have liked but I was really excited about the free bikes the hotel offers. Definitely take advantage of those - what a nice perk. Also, they're right across the street from a couple of snorkel trip vendors which is really convenient for booking and confirming your trips in the morning.

My family of four had a wonderful stay here! Honestly I think ours were the only kids there, but staff was very welcoming. Khalid was always there with a smile early in the morning and late at night. We loved that the room had a water cooler to refill our bottles. We rented the ground floor 2 bedroom apartment which had plenty of light from the slider. No windows in the bedrooms but we really just slept there so no big deal. A/C was more than ample with a wall unit in each room. Rooms were extremely clean and modern decor. Bathroom was nice. Only cons were some trouble with the toilet (which they fixed) and that there wasn’t much place to put our clothes so we lived out of the suitcases. For the price, it was a lovely stay, excellent location, clean, and fantastic service. The rooftop hammock deck was my favorite place every sunrise.

We stayed for 6 nights at Barefoot. There was only a double room available and we had a lot of gear, but it worked out great. The room has some things that really stood out: a table on both sides of the bed (it makes a difference to me), USB plugs on either side of the bed, very nice bath & showers, storage, a TV to watch the usual streaming channels , & of course air conditioning. Another big plus is that they provide a big container of potable water in the room instead of individual plastic bottles!

The hotel has a lovely rooftop space with plenty of seating and shade available. There is also a small bar that makes really good drinks and some bikes you can borrow, which was awesome.

The staff was great and the manager Yvan was really helpful.

We come to Caye Caulker almost every year, however missed 2020 due to obvious reasons. (COVID-19). We really love to stay at the same places, however really wanted to spread out some of our business to help the economy as much as we could. We had been walking past this gem for several days before we finally took a peek and fell in love with the charm. We decided to stay for a couple days, and wish it had been so much longer!
The team working there, were amazing and had a keen attention to detail! The plants were always being water, the areas were always being cleaned and sanitized. The pool is a wonderful little oasis, and there is a cooler full of beer close by for purchase. There are bikes you can use by the front desk, however we tend to just walk everywhere we go.
We rented a 2 bedroom with a wonderful kitchen, and great little sitting area. The bathroom was beautiful and modern. The entire place is so clean, and the air conditioning works so well!
We enjoyed sunrise and sunset on the amazing rooftop, and couldn’t have been happier! We will be back!

We were very pleased with our six night stay at the Barefoot Hotel. When we arrived the staff was welcoming and efficient. Our first night was a Saturday and we were a bit concerned with the noise and activity outside our room since our balcony overlooked the main street. Everything seem to quite down after about 10:00 pm and it really was not a problem for us. The room was clean and comfortable. As someone mentioned the only problem was with the toilet. Also, as others have commented, Khalid does a wonderful job of greeting guests, bar tending and giving directions! He is an all around nice guy and a great asset for the hotel.

So my original plans for Caye Caulker was a day trip with the kids to celebrate the end of Ramadan. Our plans changed for the best and we ended up staying for two nights. Most of our caye trips are in San Pedro but I have a feeling it will be hard for me to choose the next time around. The Hotel is located not too far from the Split where my kids spent most of the time. There's also many restaurants, shops and rentals in the area; which was convenient especially with the Covid curfew. Our rooms were nice, modern and most importantly clean. Beds very comfortable. My kids enjoyed the Netflix. The roof is definitely a plus, we watched the sunrise and had family dinners up there. We all made much of the pool, it was cleaned daily along with all the open spaces. The staff were all very nice and helped with all our requests. Oh and Khalid (the bartender) my piña colada (v) was great. There's also this cute coffee shop Ice'N'Beans which put the icing on top for a most memorable stay in Caye Caulker.

The new owners have clearly invested in the facade of the building but could use some improvements in service. The pool is too cold to use, our bathroom towel racks fell down due to improper mounting, not enough toilet tissue offered so we kept having to ask for extra rolls. It's still probably the nicest hotel on Front street but could use some improvements.
