Detailed Reviews
Jan's Hotel is centrally located on Caye Caulker, within walking distance to everything and close to a GREAT restaurants. The hotel is quiet because the rooms are not directly overlooking the street like some hotels in the area, but literally steps from the white sand beach. Their roof top patio has views of both sides of the island and their beach was clean, lots of lounge chairs, palms and a dock to walk out and view waves/sea life. Shower had great water pressure; AC worked well, and we appreciated that they loaned us beach towels for our snorkel trip. Staff were courteous, picked us up at dock, took us to airport. Excellent stay.

We found Jan's to be one of the better mid range options on CC. Good location and friendly staff. Also has a nice rooftop terrace. We found it be a relatively quiet location and the golf cart pickup at the ferry terminal was a nice bonus (however you do have to call ahead).

Jan's Hotel is a great spot for divers on Caye Caulker. The room was clean and the furnishings were exactly what we needed as divers. We were very comfortable and the AC was good and we were able to sleep good at night. Hotel staff were attentive, polite and extremely helpful in helping us schedule our COVID-19 tests and helping arrange airport and ferry transportation. The hotel has a great spot on the beach to sit by the water and the environment is very laid back and minimalist, which is all you need for diving. We will absolutely be back to Caye Caulker and plan on staying at Jan's again.

Thank you for this great review! We are indeed centrally located between the 2 main dive shops on the island also conveniently located near grocery stores. Our staff is always readily available to help all our guest to have the best experience while at Jan's and of course we try to make your arrival and departure as smooth as possible. with appointment for your covid-19 test and transfer to and from the ferry dock / airstrip and international airport.

We weren't sure what to expect since there were not any chain hotels on this island. We did thoroughly enjoy our stay here. The location is ideal - not too close to the ferry dock and not too close to the split. The island itself is very small, so everything is very much within walking distance. The hotel isn't anything super fancy, but it worked! A great resting spot. The service was very good. We had a golf cart waiting for us when our ferry arrived and we arranged transport from the airport through them as well. They handled everything, including purchasing tickets and checking us in for the ferry ride.

I found the hotel to have highs and lows. Location is great, not far from the split. Shower water pressure is awesome and a difference maker.
On the flip side, bathroom is stinky due to poor plumbing (which I believe is the case in the entire island so probably not their fault), Wifi is bad and the fact that the front desk is only open till 5PM can cause real issue if you for example lose your key.
The place has no pool and almost none of the rooms have an ocean view due to the build of the property.

The was a fantastic little hotel with a staff will go above and beyond to help you with your needs. They help to the stress out of life by making sure to arrange all your transportation needs to make it to the hotel safely. The hospitality that you receive from the entire staff is out of this world. The rooms are kept spotless and the view is so relaxing there. You have a small balcony were you look at the water and mini beach across. They are close to the split and plenty of good places to eat.

The staff at Jan's makes all the difference - extremely friendly and accomodating. Bonus was the free ride to/from the airstrip. The hotel is clean and nice. I found it close to everything I was doing. They have a small private beach which is nicely shaded under the coconut palms. I would definitely stay there again next time I go to CC.

Housekeeping did an amazing job. They mopped every day and kept things clean. They brought us two bottles of water each day and there was a place near the office where we could refill water bottles. All of the staff was kind and helpful.
The AC was great, especially in the bedroom area! The water pressure was great (you could turn it up or down).
In our Suite, there was a mini fridge and a stovetop with two burners. There were plates, cups, silverware, and pans. We loved the balcony.
Gabe picked us up from the water taxi and let us know all the great places to eat. He also helped us find the dock when we kayaked past the sunlight and were trying to make it back in the dark. He was on the dock waving a flashlight at us and carried the kayak back.
The location is so convenient, but also reasonably quiet.
There were some ants, but as we said, housekeeping did a great job of keeping things clean.
This place made for a wonderful honeymoon, we were delighted with it.

Clean rooms. Centrally located on Caye Caulker. Beautiful view. Beds were comfortable and clean and staff was friendly. Daily maid service which included fresh towels, beverages, and necessities. My only dislike was that the window coverings were not heavy enough to block out the light from the patio and lack of outlets. Other than that I would definitely stay again.

They pick you up from the ferry. Very convinient location just a few minutes walks to all the snorkel and dive boats, and to the restaurants and grocery stores.
Comofortable beds. Very good AC and wifi. Nice touch with free water in the fridge.
Good view of susnet from the roof deck.
