Stayed for 4 days. Nice beach front away from the restaurants and noise. Rooms were Clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Wish they provided a coffee maker and free filtered water since the tap water was not drinkable.

This is a no frills place! Very clean, the air works great and the staff is friendly. If you are looking for an affordable place that’s quiet you are at the right place. It’s located on the south end of the island but it’s a short walk to great restaurants and ever room has an excellent view!!

Balcony facing the sea, lots of chairs on the beach, nice pier with a shaded seating area and steps into the water, very clean rooms, if a little dated. Mini fridge and microwave, lots of hot water, friendly staff. Stayed four days and would book here again.

My wife and I stayed here January 20-28, 2023. I read the reviews and didn’t understand why this place was getting such good reviews, because it didn’t correlate with our experience at all. We didn’t expect this to be a no frills place based on other reviews, but we were put in a room(s) that smelled like rotten eggs, and had a two inch drop (trip hazard) from the bathroom to the bedroom. It also had a broken dirty screen in the bathroom and a very dirty drain.
We asked to be moved to another room and it smelled even worse. We spoke with the hotel manager that said there were no other rooms to be moved to, but provided us this towels to stick between the gaps at the top and bottom of the bathroom door. We spoke with the property management company that we booked with, and we were told “it is was most likely the smell of the ocean”. We have traveled extensively throughout Mexico on the East and West shores, and this was not a smell we had ever experienced inside of our rooms. Also the last day we were there the water heater went out in two of the buildings.

Where to start about this Anchorage resort.. first off the listing shows the property close to the split if you look at the star on the map. It is literally the furthest resort away from the split. Totally disappointed when we first showed up. We got the and low and behold they couldn't find our reservations. Ended up putting us in a room that hadn't been cleaned yet with towels and bed unmade. We got a new room that was 2 twin beds instead of a king bed because they didn't clean it and everyone went home.. we rented bikes from there for our first night only for the bike to break down on my with the pedal bearings falling out and the chain to not stay on more than 3 pedals. Had to walk it back from the split. Talked to one of the guys in charge the night before we left and he said he would give us a ride to the airport for money. Our flight was at 715am. He said he would meet us outside at 630. We waited until 640 before we ended up having to walk us and our luggage to the airport.. got to my parents house that live in the reserve belize and realized I forgot my money bag under the mattress in the room bc you definately dont want to leave anything out. Contacted the manager and let him know. He said they are cleaning the room now(11am) and if they don't find it he will go up and find it and ship it to dangriga. Called later at 2pm and he said call back in the morning to make sure it shipped. Called back in the morning for him to say oh they didn't find anything under the mattress. Someone else has stayed in there now so they might have taken it.. nothing they can do about it. It was our responsibility and our fault. I agree but at the time I called. 11am and 2pm he easily could have found it and also said to call back in the morning to make sure it shipped. $1000 cash in a money bag. I would have given this place zero stars if I could. Proposed to my now fiancè on our stay and was super disappointed to bring her back to this place. 100% would never recommend..

Caye Caulker can be a place where, although you are in a piece of paradise, the hotel you stay at, will make or break your visit. There is no beach to speak of on the entire island, and it can both crowded and noisy, not to mention hot! Finding Anchorage after 6 consecutive years of visiting (once already, earlier this year) was a God-send.

It is located on the quietest spot on the Island, right on the ocean, and within a very pleasant walking distance of town. Every room has an ocean view from their balconies, along with air conditioners, microwaves and refrigerators and a T.V. (although I question the sanity of having the latter in a place like this). It also has free WiFi, with a signal so strong, some of the locals "snag" some free internet by sitting on the provided chairs
along the water front. Coffee is also available in the office in the morning. Every member of the staff is about as friendly as one could ever wish for, and the manager lives on the property. The owner is in the process of upgrading and modernizing every room. Although he had not yet done the room we stayed in, our abode lacked for nothing. It was clean and very comfortable.

Two bottles of drinking water were supplied by the hotel every morning with more available in the office for a nominal fee. By the way, the office also keeps a stock of cold beer, and a variety of cold beverages for a price equal to that you will find in the local grocery store. They did not seem too interested in making money on these items, it's simply another way of providing their guests with the convenience of not having to go into town when you run out - although had had no wine on hand.

The greatest draw for this hotel, other than the pros already mentioned, is its beach (reclaimed from the ocean), its large palapa with hammocks, its coconut laden palm trees all around the property, its pier, and its swimming hole. The owners have created a mini-reef under the pier which has attracted a variety of sea life. This allowed the kids to snorkel while we enjoyed the sun. The hotel also provides its guests with free kayaks.

However, the greatest secret this hotel has is its price. I am the chiefest of cheap skates when it comes to accommodation, and this hotel's prices were cheaper than an average Motel 6 in the States.

We stayed there for 5 days. We have stayed other places on the island but did not enjoy it as much as Anchorage Resort. It is our favorite place. We love the location and the beautiful setting. The staff, Lacretia and Jareth, made our stay extra special. The owner and his staff treated us like family. We recommended this place for a great stay on Caye Caulker. We will be staying next year and can not wait.

Definitely the worst hotel I've stayed in my life, max 2*. I have 30-40 stubborn itchy red spots on my legs since we were there (10 days ago...), because of bed bugs. The location is very good, they have free WiFi, but that's all. The room are very shabby, old and you do not want to have a bath in that bathroom, belive me.
There are better choices in Caye Caulker, for example right at the pier, the orange color hotel.
Stay away if you want to have good memories from Caye Caulker, since the island is pretty nice.

The hotel is a bit far from the tiny centre (15mins walking) and I truly think it's one of its perks as you're staying far from the noise and from all the people coming to the highland every day.
The room was very big, with a nice terrace overlooking the garden and the sea with a table and chairs, the bathroom was good and clean (shower on the bath).
They are equipped with a fridge, aircon and a fan.
The staff was super friendly and helpful and we've been allowed early check-in for free.
There's a nice space between the sea and the hotel and a very cool private harbour with access to the sea (in Caye Caulker beaches aren't very big).
The wifi works mainly outside, also on the beach, and you can rent the kayak to go around the highland for free.
You can rent bikes too but we walked everywhere as the highland isn't very big.
Awesome stay, cheap price and a very nice view included!

We stayed at Anchorage for 6 nights and could not be happier with the stay. We love this place because the people are so nice and threat you like family. If you want to stay at a quiet resort this is the one for you. We actually renewed our wedding vows on the 25th at Anchorage on the beach in front of the resort. I would highly recommend this place. Thanks for a great time Darwin. You to Lacretia see you all next year.

'm 90% sure there were safes. there are bikes that we used happily. In the office there is a big purified water that we filled our bottles from and you could buy water in the office too.
