Historic hotel nestled on 2 acres of sandy beach. 14 rooms with 2 double beds and 4 rooms with 1 king size bed. All accommodations come equipped with A/C, cable TV, microwave, refrigerator, private balcony and free WIFI.
Where to start about this Anchorage resort.. first off the listing shows the property close to the split if you look at the star on the map. It is literally the furthest resort away from the split. Totally disappointed when we first showed up. We got the and low and behold they couldn't find our reservations. Ended up putting us in a room that hadn't been cleaned yet with towels and bed unmade. We got a new room that was 2 twin beds instead of a king bed because they didn't clean it and everyone went home.. we rented bikes from there for our first night only for the bike to break down on my with the pedal bearings falling out and the chain to not stay on more than 3 pedals. Had to walk it back from the split. Talked to one of the guys in charge the night before we left and he said he would give us a ride to the airport for money. Our flight was at 715am. He said he would meet us outside at 630. We waited until 640 before we ended up having to walk us and our luggage to the airport.. got to my parents house that live in the reserve belize and realized I forgot my money bag under the mattress in the room bc you definately dont want to leave anything out. Contacted the manager and let him know. He said they are cleaning the room now(11am) and if they don't find it he will go up and find it and ship it to dangriga. Called later at 2pm and he said call back in the morning to make sure it shipped. Called back in the morning for him to say oh they didn't find anything under the mattress. Someone else has stayed in there now so they might have taken it.. nothing they can do about it. It was our responsibility and our fault. I agree but at the time I called. 11am and 2pm he easily could have found it and also said to call back in the morning to make sure it shipped. $1000 cash in a money bag. I would have given this place zero stars if I could. Proposed to my now fiancè on our stay and was super disappointed to bring her back to this place. 100% would never recommend.. …

My wife and I stayed here January 20-28, 2023. I read the reviews and didn’t understand why this place was getting such good reviews, because it didn’t correlate with our experience at all. We didn’t expect this to be a no frills place based on other reviews, but we were put in a room(s) that smelled like rotten eggs, and had a two inch drop (trip hazard) from the bathroom to the bedroom. It also had a broken dirty screen in the bathroom and a very dirty drain. We asked to be moved to another room and it smelled even worse. We spoke with the hotel manager that said there were no other rooms to be moved to, but provided us this towels to stick between the gaps at the top and bottom of the bathroom door. We spoke with the property management company that we booked with, and we were told “it is was most likely the smell of the ocean”. We have traveled extensively throughout Mexico on the East and West shores, and this was not a smell we had ever experienced inside of our rooms. Also the last day we were there the water heater went out in two of the buildings. …

This is a no frills place! Very clean, the air works great and the staff is friendly. If you are looking for an affordable place that’s quiet you are at the right place. It’s located on the south end of the island but it’s a short walk to great restaurants and ever room has an excellent view!!

Stayed for 4 days. Nice beach front away from the restaurants and noise. Rooms were Clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Wish they provided a coffee maker and free filtered water since the tap water was not drinkable.

Balcony facing the sea, lots of chairs on the beach, nice pier with a shaded seating area and steps into the water, very clean rooms, if a little dated. Mini fridge and microwave, lots of hot water, friendly staff. Stayed four days and would book here again.

I spent a week at the resort and absolutely loved it! It is at the quiet end of the island and was nice to unwind after countless binges on the north end! The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I enjoyed swimming off the jetty or just chilling on the beach chairs with a coffee or beer.

Clean rooms and a great value for your money. The resort is right on the water and has the coolest pier complete with hammocks and lounging chairs. The staff was very friendly and one of the guys even grilled lobster and shrimp for us one night. I can honestly say it was the best lobster I've ever had. I would definitely stay here again.

Let’s start off with the view: So beautiful of a view. BUT don’t get fooled by it. The service here sucks! The bedsheets are dirty. The shower is half broken and the people are so rude. Half of the outlets don’t work. The towels are VERY dirty. It’s like they dont wash anything here. Don’t ever come here. You look at the view and think “wow such a pretty place” then you get inside the hotel and you start to regret staying here. To all the family’s couples friends etc DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL YOUD RATHER WANNA STAY AT FAMILY’S HOUSE. They need to fix these changes or shut this hotel down

Eh......very basic. King sized beds are on the third floor. No elevator so not handicap accessible. Beach had a lot of seaweed and sea grass along with a not so pleasant odor. The biggest issue is that there is really nothing close by to eat. This is a decent place to stay if you want a quiet area. But be prepared to walk a bit for food. They did have free use of kayaks and I enjoyed the hammock on the dock. I’d probably stay closer to the Split next time we return.

We stayed here as part of a group tour with explore, everything works but is just very basic. Staff are friendly and you can get water bottle top-up's from reception. Wi-Fi is patchy and swings in and out.
