The staff at Caye Casa were very welcoming and helpful. They took care any questions and issues we had immediately. They are located about a 10-15 min walk north of downtown which is great if you're looking for a quieter place, and it's not sequestered in a resort, which helps yo

Fantastic, small hotel. Located just across the sand road from the beach. Have their own dock for lounging and sunning. Surrounded by plenty of restaurants, bars and outfitters (snorkel, SCUBA, parasail, etc..) and within walking distance. But slightly north of the more busy

My husband and I stayed at Caye Casa in July 2018 and loved it. Caye Casa is a boutique hotel with several rooms just a few steps past some of the "noisier" areas of "town". It was close to everything but also felt private and secluded. It really does look like the pictures! San

While we loved the touch of complimentary soft drinks and beers, water, waiting cold in the fridge, the room was like an ice box and the owner would not allow us to have the remote to the air conditioner. This made regulating our room temperature difficult as the office closes at

The room was very spacious and the dog was super chill. We really enjoyed it. They gave us all the tips on where to eat, etc on the caye. They cleaned our rooms each day and provided what ever we needed.

Hello, wer're thinking about staying here in Feb. How much does it cost to eat per person per day? On average?
It all depends upon where you eat. There are grocery stores on the island where you can buy your own food, as well as fruit and vegetable stands which are very inexpensive. Pre-packaged foods from the mainland are always more expensive than most of the fresh food. In the evening there are often vendors selling barbecue along the beach which ate cheap and very good. So you could probably get by on $25 a day if you go the frugal route. But if you go out to eat a lot you'd be looking at $75 to $100 -- more if you drink a lot.

How far is the resort from the airport? Do you offer transportation?
Side note - if you decide that you want to rent a golf cart for your own transportation while on the island (highly recommended), have the office staff help you after check in. Their recommendation is inexpensive (compared to our own research) and the cart company will pick you up and take to back to their office for paperwork/getting your own cart. Super duper easy.

Hi! Looking to book in December. Trying to decide between Iguana Reef on Caye Caulkner or Caye Casa. My question involves the bar situation and pool- it looks so small! Any lounge chairs near it? Do people use it? Can you take a cold beer down there? I know they don't have a bar on property but can you grab a rum punch at one of the ones nearby and take it to your lounger? Don't know how relaxed the rules are. We both enjoy the beach but are fair skinned and have to retreat to the pool and some shade usually mid-day. Any ideas would be appreciated!
The pool is very small, more of a dunk to cool off than to swim and play. But there are plenty of lounge chairs on the sand and the whole are is very chill about drinking in public. Drink your own beer, or ask a nearby bartender for a to go cup! The location of Caye Casa is perfect, close enough to bars and restaurants, but not right on top of any (quiet at night).

Booked in for two weeks in August and am interested to know what local bars and restaurants people would recommend for day time and evening drinking/eating (thinking also of breakfast options). Ideally within an easy walk?
My favorite spot on the beach outside of San Pedro is Melt. Great food, nice location.

Any lasting effects on this resort from the hurricane? is the dock built up and ready to go? will be traveling jan 2017
They were working hard to get this dock functional so I suspect it is done. This is area was in good shape.
