Belize is expensive, so if you'd rather spend your money on snorkeling or SCUBA, save by booking a room at Corona del Mar. Very clean, big bed, huge room, A/C & ceiling fan. The room had a microwave, bar fridge, and coffee maker so you can buy groceries and save even more money. Also a small security lockbox.
Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. You can book excursions right at the desk. Free coffee and water in the lobby.
Small pool, but very nice. Beach chairs under big palm trees. Soft sand. The ocean is accessible by some slippery stairs down from the sea wall. Shallow water. There is a dive shop right out front, but I found it to be more expensive than other options. (I personally did snorkel trips with Searious Adventures.)
I was disappointed with the food at the on-site restaurant but I only went once. Other guests said they had nice meals there.
Weird thing is that the TV didn't have cable, just YouTube, Tubi, and you could log on to your Netflix account.
There is a small bar across the road that had loud music and karaoke on the weekends. It's also a restaurant but I didn't eat there.
It's about a 15-minute walk into the center of San Pedro town. Faster if you rent a golf cart. Walking along the beach is nicer than the road.

The hotel and pool are “loved.” It isn’t a new and pristine establishment. That said, what amazing service! Friendly and knowledgeable. Always reliable. It has charm! We were on a budget and very happy with our decision to stay at Hotel Corona Del Mar. Beautiful beach (we even got massages on the beach!), the attached bar and restaurant was convenient but not one of our favorites. Room was cleaned daily, sheets always smelled fresh. We loved having a full kitchen to help us keep costs down. They do laundry for a small fee. The vibe was comfortable and welcoming. Really, just charming!!!!

Room Tip: You’ll need to rent a golf cart. Only 2 bottles of water given, no jug in room like I had hoped.

Check in was ok, I asked about breakfast (which was included with Hotels.com) they had to check it out and they said yes. I asked for a coupon or amount we could use, they really didn’t know. Got to our room and the only lights were the overhead fan which was very bright. I asked for a table lamp but they said they didn’t have any, the place was 1/3 to 1/2 full of guest. Wife asked for an extra pillow again no. That night they had music in the bar/pool area, but the musicians set up in front of our room about 20 feet away instead of all the way down the other end. There were two(2) safes in our room but both were not functional I went to the desk and asked they sent the maintenance guy (Leeroy) and he tried and a no go. So he got another safe and brought to our room and asked me were I wanted it mounted, so now there are three (3) safes in the room. One night they had Karaoke that was supposed to last until 9:30 it lasted until 10:45 and was very LOUD and it was at the far end of pool area. On some days they have an open pool, so lots of folks. In our room there are wires hanging down the wall for the cable and stuff also a hole in the wall where they come out. Bathroom is real small and the hot water and water pressure is variable. The owner is around but doesn’t want to engage with his customers unless he’s in some good ole boy talk. We have stayed here a couple of times before and that’s why we returned, but never again. The staff were very helpful were they could and helped it from being a total disaster. Elena on the front desk helped a lot and is the most informative.

This place is so run down that it should simply be closed.
In the first room we had, the wood door of the bathroom was falling apart. The breakfast is the same every day: overcooked scrambled eggs with a questionable sausage. The "garden area" is cement floored area with storage of extra equipment. The pool is just a cement basin. It is just totally unpleasant and unclean and broken down.
This is probably the worst hotel that I have had the misfortune of staying at.

Staff here is were really nice at first but then got irritated quickly once you ask any questions after checking in (aka. paying). Facility is fine for vacation stays but it's very basic and whatever they use to mop the floors, dries sticky/oily. There is a restaurant onsite with decent food and it's ON the water. NOT recommended though for long-term stay. Wifi is sometimes in issue and noisy, due to frequent parties at the restaurant.

Staff is the greatest, Gonzolo (Omar), Vicki, Frank and all the staff are the best! The location is perfect, you can walk to town and many restaurants. Beach is beautiful, very shallow to just cool off or at the end of the dock swim in deeper water. Beach chairs are lenticular and comfy. Food in the bar at the hotel is reasonable and delicious. Complimentary breakfast and rum punch in the afternoon is perfect. Paradise here everyday!

The staff here are excellent, accommodations are basic, rooms have variable layouts, some with chest of drawers some don’t. We were in room 9 the first night but the security lights were to bright and they moved us to room 4 which was an improvement. They have a pool but there isn’t a lounge area by it. The beach here is nice with a bunch of lounge chairs with shade.

My friends and I stayed here on the recommendation of a frequent visitor to Belize. This is one of her go-to places to stay. Though we only stayed a few nights (we travelled around Belize for 2 weeks, lucky us!) Corona Del Mar captures the vibe of Belize, and especially Ambergris Caye. Really friendly staff, clean, relaxed, right on the beautiful beach. Convenient location for walking to town and restaurants. I really enjoyed the breakfasts and the afternoon ceviche. I will be back, and I will stay here again, at this happy place. Many thanks to my new friends at Corona Del Mar!

Walk about a block up to me rental on the left hand side, they have the best rates and exceed all expectations
There is a pool, doubtful it is heated because there is no need. You can definitely swim in the sea!
2 beds same room, shared bathroom. No questions. Does that help? My friend and I travel together a lot and and are not involved romantically. Just good friends. Give each other space and privacy.
The bicycle rental's when I was there last year were $8 US per day.
