This is one of the better springhill I have stayed at acroos the county. I room was quiet. They have a evening bar with a small resturart in the hotel opened at night. There was still the normal breakfast waffles, scamble eggs , cereal, fruit., yogurt , coffee ,juice, toast , oatmeal .The eating area was open with alot of seating , The buffet are was large and the staff kept everything full and clean. On thursday nights adiffernt local winery come to the lobby with a few wines to sample, which was great after sightseeing all day . I was stay here agian when back in the area. The staff was nice and freindly also.
We stayed at this hotel because we had a free night with our Marriott points, and we’re attending a concert at the Mid State Fair. They were located about 10 minutes away. The property itself is really beautiful, and the building is well-maintained. There is a beautiful pool and sitting area behind the hotel that was really nice. The lobby is gorgeous, and they also had a bar and small restaurant on site. The restaurant doesn’t offer a lot, but what we had was decent, and it was nice to have considering there’s no restaurants within walking distance from the hotel except for Starbucks. The property is a bit isolated off the freeway, but it was fine for our purposes for this trip. We had a king suite with a sofa bed, and it was really large and spacious. I also enjoyed the complementary breakfast. We will definitely stay here again.…
I was bowled over at the attentiveness and warmth of this team, from Tracy at the front desk, Maria the breakfast attendant to Chris the bartender, all making us feel welcome. It’s not every property that you feel a genuine connection with the employees, this felt straight out of a movie. We came for a couples weekend away from the kids and were treated to a very clean and comfortable room, along with an excellent experience at the restaurant. Cocktails and dinner were a home run! Thank you, we will be back!
This is a great option in Atascadero if you want to avoid the costlier hotels in Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo. The rooms are bright & spacious, the staff at breakfast warm & friendly, the grounds are wide & open and the hotel is not too far from either of it's popular neighbouring towns/cities. The only gripe I have, and it's one shared by several recent reviewers, is that house cleaning was practically non-existent. During our three-night stay it was completely A.W.O.L!
The suites are large and comfortable. The décor is pleasant. The noise insulation is not very good; you can feel strong vibrations when people walk nearby or above. Good parking. Nice location. Nice lobby.
3-day stay and no housekeeping. Marriott is milking the cost savings by not providing housekeeping for as long as they can. They say it is to minimize contact for the safety of staff and guests. Mask wearing is far more effective and no one is wearing masks, not even the housekeepers. Clearly there is no interest in minimizing contact but rather in saving money. Best hotel staff I've encountered recently. Very friendly and helpful. Nice but tiny pool. Good on a blazing hot day, but otherwise I get the feeling you would freeze in the pool. Room was it good size, and it was reasonably comfortable. I was upgraded to a room with a sofa and a small sitting area because I'm a titanium elite member. With housekeeping this hotel would have earned a higher star rating.
Our family of 5 stayed here after Sensorio on the way down to Santa Barbara. Rooms clean and as advertised, spacious with the fold out couch. Friendly service from check-in to check out. Front desk joyfully handed me a toothbrush when I forgot to pack it and asked if I also needed toothpaste. Our kids loved the waffle making at breakfast. Eggs a little rubbery, but hey, what do you expect from the breakfast buffet? Outdoor seating by the pool very pleasant. Altogether very positive experience!
This Marriott is located right off of the 101 in Atascadero right across the street from a Home Depot and Starbucks (w/Drive Thru). Easy on/off for sure. Even though it's right next to the freeway, I am not able to hear it at night. It's 10 minutes from Downtown Paso Robles so it's convenient to restaurants and wineries. Now on to the hotel. I like that the room is modern with a kitchenette that has a microwave, mini fridge and a 65" TV. One tip though, if you plan on using a Roku or other streaming device, make sure you unplug the phone cable that's plugged on to the back of the TV. You could either plug it into HDMI1 port or if you press the power button on bottom of the TV, it will allow you to scroll over to change the Source. We had a 2 Queen room and it looked nice and clean carpet. However, I don't know if I like having the toilet in a separate room from the shower. I can see where this is convenient when traveling with others, but I guess I'm so used to having everything in one room, it's a little weird for me. The toilet has a very big bowl with very little water and when you press the flush button, if you are a guy, you will get a free was for your boys. The shower has shampoo, conditioner and body wash in a pump attached to the shower wall. I understand why they do this, but I worry that it doesn't get checked by housekeeping and you end up with an empty dispenser. The shower head barley has any water coming out of it. There's no pressure whatsoever and just a trickle. There's also no hook to hang your wet or dry towels. I don't understand why there isn't something this simple installed in the bathroom. I ended up having to hang my towel on the shower rod before and after my shower. A few good things is that the front desk staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms have a bunch of outlets to plug in your devices. There is free breakfast that ends around 9am (9:30 on the weekends). The food is just ok. Nothing special. They do have about 4 waffle makers and these are the mini waffles and not the large sized ones.…
Bad experience with management of this property. We are Marriott members and have come to expect much better. Long story short, we had a sick individual in our family and discussed the possibility of Covid exposure with front desk day of our check-in. We never checked in and our trip was canceled, we had to go home. Per staff, we were advised they would get OK from upper management and likely refund could be given considering medical justification. After waiting a few weeks with multiple unreturned calls to the property as well as emails to General manager Marcus Hernandez without reply, we contacted Marriott corporate to initiate a case. Finally received communication from Kai Kehler supervisor who at first denied that we even contacted the property check in day and then after research found notes indicating that was the case. Unfortunately however she still denied a refund. Because we booked through Expedia, we also requested Expedia reach out directly to this property in hopes Atascadero SpringHill would reconsider but unfortunately decision still stands. At this point we are in a credit card dispute and would caution anyone considering a stay here given the extremely poor customer service and lack of regard for guest health risks.…
What a great surprise! Super comfy and cute rooms. Very cool lobby and bar and great outdoor space. Also the breakfast was amazing. Veggie sausage! Heck yeah. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the incredible staff, most particularly the front desk team! Great stay!!! Thanks, Jerry & Katie
