We stayed in this hotel 5/2-5/9.
Everything was great.
1. Location.
We walked everywhere because the walks were easy and interesting.
Hillwood and The Kreeger Museums we visited on day one when we still had our car.
2. Parking. was right under the hotel. $50 plus tax per night. Expensive but we knew beforehand and added to our expenses because for us it was very convenient.
3. The Safeway is right across the street. Plenty of places to eat around.
4. Breakfast and the room itself were great. Everything we needed was there.
5. We didn't hear any noise, slept very well.
6. Everyone working there was very accommodating, helpful, professional and friendly.
We enjoyed our stay a lot and will return there again.

This hotel is very well managed, is family-friendly, and a pleasant place to stay. We felt safe and slept well. The kitchenette was convenient and there is a nice grocery store across the street. The breakfast and evening socials were phenomenal - one of the healthiest and best tasting I have ever had at a hotel. The eggs were awesome (prepared with real cheese, or boiled eggs were available as well) and they offered both fresh cut fruit and fresh whole fruit. The fruit and yogurt parfaits were wonderful, with real blueberries. The cooked potatoes tasted great, and were non-greasy. I would like to give a shout out to Ms. Gonzales and to Joye, who ensured we had a pleasant stay. This location is within walking distance to the metro, grocery store, Carnegie Library, and even to the Smithsonian American Art Museum and Portrait Gallery. Would recommend staying here again.

This Homewood Suites is a newer property (not sure if it's a new building, or a remodel of an existing one; regardless, it's in fantastic shape) only about three blocks from the Convention Center (less than 10 minute walk). The staff here was very friendly throughout my stay. The rooms and bed were comfortable, with lots of natural light coming in through the big windows. The breakfast here was OK; enough to get going for the day, but nothing extravagant. All in all, this isn't a bad convention center area stay.

First of all, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The problems with our stay was strictly with the quality of our room. With so few people staying at the hotel, we expected that things would be better.

Our shower did not have hot water. We called and it was repaired on our second day, but on our first morning there, we had to go shower in another room.
The AC did not work; unable to get the room temperature down to a comfortable level. They said they fixed it our third night there, and it did seems a little cooler, but still loud. The wall unit / blower constantly made a loud noise.
The bed was horribly uncomfortable. The flat sheet was too small and would not tuck under the mattress. The comforter, or whatever it was that was on top, kept shifting. The pillows are a very cheap, foam- filled pillow that was hard to make comfortable. We slept between three and six hours each of the three nights we were there.
The rooms also need to be updated to include some USB ports for charging the devices that most people travel with today.

Because there were so few guests, ( Covid), they did not offer the hot breakfast that was supposed to be included with our stay. Their response was to offer a brown paper bag of some cold food items (small OJ, small danish, nutri-grain bar, bagel. Not much of a compensation for not providing a real breakfast option.

The lobby area is nice and clean. Nicely decorated. Again, the staff was super friendly. The negatives of this hotel rest squarely on the shoulders of the owners and their neglect and lack of attention to detail in making the rooms a good experience for the guests.

Hotel seems older and “tried to upgrade, but lacking.” The last few Hilton’s have been disappointing. Our bathroom vanity paint was chipping off, carpets dirty and I had to wipe down all lights switches due to just looking dirty. The bed hardly had any covers and it appeared the housekeeping staff used a mattress cover for a top blanket…very strange. Hilton could also step up their brand of bath towels, such a cheap thin towel. Housekeeping very willing to give more towels since room cleaning still isn’t available. Hotel staff super nice. If you valet just know you will have trouble getting anything out of your car without help from a attendant. Ok location….long walking distance to landmarks /White House. Be ready to walk.

This is the best Homewood Suites I have ever stayed at and we always stay at Hilton properties. My husband, son and I stayed here for 3 nights while visiting DC. Will at the front desk was so friendly and accommodating upon check in. The entire hotel seems brand new or at least updated and very clean. When I would walk into my bathroom at night, a nightlight is triggered automatically. The door between the living and bedroom area was so soundproof that I couldn't hear a thing in the living room as that is where my son hung out watching TV. We were on the 8th floor (top floor ) facing a busy road which concerned me as I am a light sleeper. However, there was no road noise at all. As for the free breakfast, hot food was constantly being replenished by the kitchen staff (they do a great job!) and dirty dishes were cleared away often. The location is great - only a few miles from downtown DC and it has underground parking. I will definitely stay here again next time we are visiting DC.

Pros: good location close to metro, restaurants and supermarket. Pricing was good. Large rooms, we had a King suite. We had them clean our room every 2-3 days and they did a good job. Front desk staff were welcoming and one member went way above and beyond, Lewis. He was professional, when we had a complaint about our room and wanted a change, he upgraded our room for us and made it easy and quick. Also, there was a billing issue (check your bill, ours was $113.00 overcharged), he fixed the problem very efficiently. Shout out to Lewis, THANK YOU!

Cons: soft furnishing were outdated (bedding, lamps, pillows). In our first room the safe didn’t work, we got a weed smell coming in pretty strong that must have been coming from the room next door. Thus we asked for a room change. Breakfast was a lot of carbs, fat and sugar. Plain eggs were served 2 days, the other days had sausage included in everything. More fresh fruit would have been good. There was supposed to be an evening reception,as listed on the website, but we saw nothing to indicate anything happening with that. We would stay there again if it was a good price in comparison to other hotels, but this property didn’t quite hit the mark for a good rating. All in all it was average.

Thank you for recently choosing to stay with us. We are sorry that your original room did not meet your expectations, but happy that we were able to accommodate the requested changes. Homewood Suites just recently started the evening reception again, but it is limited to once a week currently. We appreciate your feedback regarding breakfast. While the breakfast being offered is standard across Homewood suites, we will share your feedback with the brand. Thank you again for sharing your feedback and we look forward to seeing you again for future visits to DC.

just make sure the sheets are clean. I had three suites reserved and two of them weren't ready til after 5pm. I was given a suite that had been straightened up but was obvious it wasn't cleaned. There was hair all over the sheets and pillows, missing towels and washcloths and a dirty kitchen area. The front desk folks were on their own and there wasn't anyone available to clean the room. They did offer me a new suite after it was suggested I could just change the sheets myself since there was no cleaning staff available.

We had 5 King Suites located on the 11th floor and everyone of the were so comfortable. Room Service was great and the staff had a professional and warm personality. The Front Desk personnel was great especially Miss Gonzales she went beyond her duties to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. The front Desk Manager and Miss Gonzales took their time and explained everything about the hotel and our stay. Even the Valet attendant Eddie was helpful. We highly recommend this hotel.

From the time we arrived at the hotel, we were warmly greeted and happily assisted by Solomon with parking. Once inside, Ernest ensured we were assisted promptly and had everything we needed.
My husband and I planned this stay for a retreat to relax, pray, and set goals for our family and business. The suite was well equipped to handle every need and the highest cleaning standards during the pandemic.
The Director of Operations, Ms. Gonzales, is the best that we have encountered! She truly went above and beyond to ensure our comfort with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
We also observed the care Ms. Gonzales exhibited with other guests who were affected by weather, scheduling, and other concerns. Each request was handled with the utmost care.
We have decided to make this location our site for quarterly retreats for our family and business needs. Thank you for truly making this a home away from home.
