A very convenient and perfect location. Convenient for both business and vacation. Have a very nice kitchen and fully equipped. There are a lot of good places for food conveniently located. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place in this area.

We really rated our stay at The State Plaza. The hotel is no more than 10 mins walk from the White House and The Lincoln Memorial, and is the right side of the city for IAD airport (we got a taxi for ease - costs approx $60). In fact we walked pretty much everywhere, including

I stayed 3 nights for my daughter’s Conference. The hotel was located in the GWU neighborhood, which was quiet since it was summer. Location! Use one of their 2 entrances & you’re within walking distance to most of the historic landmarks and monuments. Our room was very clean &

I always love staying at the State Plaza Hotel in DC. The service and staff are impeccable and I always feel like a VIP. I would really like to call out the restaurant which has excellent food. I ate there several times during my last two stays, and Raul made a point of

We are 3 people, sometimes 4. Two adults & one 10 year old. Sometimes Granma comes along. We usually stay in 2 suites. One a king with kitchen ( we like to prep our own dinner veggies & breakfast), and one normal suite. We book over a hotel website and have not come across any problems. I make sure at check in, that we get the rooms requested. Also the suites are equipped with a pull out couch, which I have slept on a couple of times (when grandma is with us), and they are quite comfortable. Just make sure to ask for an extra blanket!

Cost for parking? Do you know any hotel in DC downtown with free or cheap parking?
I don’t recall the exact price at the hotel, but it was reasonable (by DC standards) and very convenient.

How far to a metro station to go to the Dept. of Ag building
It is really situated well. About 4 blocks as I recall.

Yes, a/c. I've been in both summer and winter and rooms very easy to keep comfortable. Not sure about nicer dining close by b/c we usually have favorite places that we taxi to. But a mega CVS with anything you could possibly need including basic food. And I loved the subshop a block away. I'll have to remember it's name. it's a chain but so fresh, both visits.

No. There is a restaurant on premises but I used a Starbucks a block away or the restaurants up by the University (1o minute walk, many options).

"Ask for the tower area where the restaurant is. Luckily for us we were given this area when we arrived. Very quiet."
"Rooms on higher floor quieter as ambulances frequently pass to reach nearby hospital"
