I decided to call the hotel directly and was so happy I did! Brandi was a doll to work with taking our reservation. I had some specific needs/wants that she was able to accomodate graciously. Hunter at check in and Emanuel our valet were also very kind and accomodating with our day to day requests. Room was clean and quiet. Plenty of towels and extra pillows!! We will be back. We were treated like old friends in this lovely boutique (not a chain) hotel!! And, the location was perfect, great walking neighborhood close to everything!
I spent eight nights at the River Inn and can't say enough good things about it. The staff are incredibly responsive, personable, and accommodating - from Will at check-in to Ashley, Brandy, and Saeed (sorry for misspelling your name!), all of whom went out of their way to be helpful - including providing dog bowls for my pup. My room was clean, super-comfy bed with good quality linens and nice thick towels. The location can't be beat - Metro, Trader Joes and Whole Foods just blocks away, easy walk to Georgetown and the Potomac River trail.
We stayed for couple of nights, and the River was a nice discovery! From the staff that welcomed us, very friendly! The room was big and with kitchen, large sitting room, huge spaces. The bed very comfortable. Indeed a place that I would love to visit again when in town. Highly recommended!
After a two-year travel hiatus, it was great to return to the River Inn and see that it was still as good as we remembered from previous visits. Upon entering the hotel, we were warmly greeted by Brandy and Deja. They went out of their way to accommodate us making us feel like friends, not merely guests. When we got to our room, Hunter had provided us with snacks that added to our enjoyment. We were also impressed with the cordial customer service and warm demeanor provided by Saif in the lobby. The general manager, Ian, should be proud of his exemplary staff in an industry that has suffered and is rebuilding after Covid.
My mom and I have been staying at the River Inn for an extended stay of several months this year and last year. We couldn’t have asked for anything better! We feel right at home here with such helpful, friendly, kind, compassionate, genuine, and sincere staff on all levels of the operation ! Thanks to Ian, Ashley, Brandie, Will, Deja, Hunter, Jessica and her amazing team, the whole engineering team, as well as Mr B, Emmanuel, Seif, Shah and everyone else here! Highly recommended if you’re looking for an amazing hotel, a wonderful location in the heart of Foggy Bottom, and a simply amazing professional friendly caring bunch of people working here who will truly make you feel right at home the moment you step into the reception! Thank you again and again to the whole River Inn family!…
