Over all the stay was ok. Just bring your own face towels because none was provided, keep your face mask on at all times, especially if you don't like Marijuana smells, bring your own towel to step on after showering because none was provided, there is no microwave or fridge. If on the 4th floor ice maker does not work you have to go down to the 3rd floor. the staff was very nice though. And it does have a parking garage for 25.00 a day. There is a Burgerking literally right next door snd the Metro is 2 blocks away on the same side of street. You can take the Metro train from DCA airport straight to this hotel, you just have to switch trains. Get off at Metro Center and go up escalator snd take red line to Van Ness and walk 2 blocks

Let's make this short & sweet. You're on a budget. A tight one. You're heading to DC for what...business? pleasure? And you'd rather not sleep in a youth hostel or somebody's house? And you just need a ROOM, for goodness sakes? Have we got digs for you...the Days Inn. The water is hot, the towels are clean, the room service is very efficient, the elevator works just fine and, hopefully, the computer's not on the fritz when you check in. Big bennie--for a basic hotel, five plump pillows on the king bed were like livin' in the lap o'luxury. Plus, the neighborhood's nice, it's close to the M and there's abundant fast food all over.

Our room was large and the furnishings comfortable. The hotel is in a terrific neighborhood with lots of restaurants and public services. The staff was friendly.
But, the hot water in the shower was difficult to obtain, and the fan / light did not work. We were told that the fan / light did not work in a few rooms. The man adjusted the shower fixture and it seemed to work - we did not take a full shower after that. Oddly, there was no channel directory on the tv or in the room, so it was strictly 'catch as catch can' on the video front.

I was extremely impressed with my room and the front desk service I received. My room, 227, was over the front corner. It was spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable. Initially the fridge did not work so they replaced it quickly. Being next to the front elevator was very convenient. Housekeeping happily provided enough coffee pods and cups for my four night stay. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay.

It’s located in a residential neighborhood so don’t expect much in the way of nightlife. It is just a couple blocks from Van Ness Metro, which is excellent and you can get to anywhere in D.C. There’s a Starbucks right at the Metro.

I have stayed here 5 times, the hotel onsite restaurant and bar was closed (refurbishment?) but it looked like it was preparing to reopen as I left (around Thanksgiving)

There’s a few places to eat nearby mostly fast food in the immediate vicinity, including a really funky Burger King full of rock music and movie memorabilia. It’s definitely worth a visit.

It’s got a cool lobby, kinda reminds me of a budget European hotel. There’s free coffee there and a TV always tuned to the news. It’s fun to watch the news and realize you’re in the same city where the White House and US Capitol are. There’s a small gift shop, seems to only be open in the morning, probably for people grabbing last minute souvenirs.

The rooms are a bit dated but fine. The TVs are flat screen and the internet is fine for normal usage. I could stream Netflix with no problem. They still use the individual bottles of amenities in the bathroom and they’re fine. There was an ice machine, pop machine, and recycling on the 6th floor. The rooms also have a coffee maker with the individual pods. I’m sure the hotel will eventually upgrade to more environmentally friendly choices. I pretty much kept the TV on MSNBC, but the usual sports and news channels are available.

I’d obviously stay here again. As I mentioned, it’s a residential area so absolutely nothing of tourist interest is in walking distance unless you’re interested in American University. Just plan to use the Metro and at least you’re a lot closer to a Metro station than people staying in other areas paying 3 times as much!

My first issue is one of safety. The bathtub is not textured and there is no bath tub mat. I was concerned about slipping and falling in the bathtub while taking my shower. There is also no bath mat for the floor. I had to use one of the bath towels so that I wouldn’t slip and fall on the floor.

The parking area is woefully inadequate and shared with a car rental company. It is very hard to navigate because the space is tight. Also, I was not forewarned when I booked the hotel that there would be a $25/night charge for parking. I found out as I was checking in. This is the first time in all my years of staying at hotels/motels that I’ve had to pay a charge for parking.

The rooms don’t come with refrigerators or microwaves. You have to request them. This is not an unusual experience for me. I knew we would be arriving late because we had a non-hour drive, so I called ahead to let them know I’d want both. The front desk told me they wouldn’t know until I arrived for check-in if there would be any available. They do not have a “wait list’ that they could put me on so that a refrigerator and microwave would be held for me. I was told the charge was $15. They didn’t specify it was $15 per night. The appliances were very old and beaten up. I had to put something in front of the refrigerator door to hold it closed, and I was afraid to use the microwave.

I’ve never been to a hotel before in which I’ve had to use my room key to operate the elevator. The front desk said nothing about that when I checked in. My mind was weary from a nine-hour drive and it took me a while to figure out why the buttons weren’t working. It should be standard procedure to advise guests of such things when they check in. The hotel has two very small elevators.

The outlets on the lamps were too large for our phone chargers. We were not able to charge are phones because the prongs of the charge were far too loose in the outlets to make contact. Fortunately, there was a charging device on the desk that had two outlets and two USB ports that we were able to use.

The hotel has a posted policy that rooms are cleaned every three days unless otherwise requested. I had told the front desk that we would not require maid service during our stay. They said “okay” and placed a “do not disturb” tag on my door for me (there was not one in the room). Despite that, when we returned to our room after being out on the second day, the maid had been in and serviced our room.

We booked an overnight stay online, on account of a visit to one of the nearby Embassies. The location is excellent for its proximity to the embassies and the UDC MetroRail Station. I thought I paid online but had to supply my credit card at check-in. I trust that I haven't been charged twice, but just a warning to anyone who may think about leaving their card at home.
The hotel in general is still in fair shape, though a bit worn for years. The facilities are clean, even though there is a lingering smell of cannabis. We became accustomed to that smell within an hour, it wasn't much a problem. And it was clear that the staff have done much to try to keep the place clean.
Breakfast is not served at the hotel, but the receptionists have good ideas for where to eat nearby.
Some have said that they would not recommend this hotel for an extended stay. I'm inclined to agree, because the accommodations are fairly minimal.
But, for the nearness to MetroRail and the Embassies, the quality of the neighborhood surrounding, the best price that I could find in shopping rates online (look out for hidden 'taxes'!), and the otherwise good quality of just the two-bed room which we bought, I see that this hotel could easily be for some overnight travelers like me the best option, a very good quality for the price.

Would not suggest this hotel until they get things worked out. Room was dark and needed a good makeover. Carpets were not in the best of condition and could use replacing or at least a good cleaning. Bed sheets didn't cover the bottom 1/3 of the mattress so it was left exposed (not a very sanitary condition). There were no towels and no toilet paper when we arrived the first night. Housekeeping did bring up towels (2 bath and 2 wash clothes) but no hand towels. And the towels that were brought were basically useless because they were thread bare and barely absorbed water. The next day when we returned to our room at the end of the day, there had been no servicing of the room at all. When we went to the front desk to ask for more towels and to inquire why there hadn't been any service provided, we were told that due to "Covid" they only go in to the rooms if requested or at the end of a stay. There were no notices of this and there was nothing in the rooms explaining the no clean policy. Oh by the way, we did get toilet paper by going to the front desk and requesting it.
But as the title states - the shower worked nicely and there was plenty of hot water. Also, they have on-site parking (at a cost). So all was not a total disaster. But we will never stay here again and I'd say, buyer beware if you do stay here. Good Luck

Clean, lots of soft towels. Tub drain was slow. No coffee or tea maker in the room. Quiet on the 6th floor, no traffic sounds with windows closed and AC. No fridge or microwave. Reasonable for the price. Parking is an extra $25/night. Front desk forgot to give me the wifi password, but they did give it to me later when I asked.

Located near University of DC, resaurants & shops along Connecticut Ave. AND 2 blocks to metro. SAFE area. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Building is old and some areas are worn and could use updating (like carpeting). Read the amenities and you'll KNOW there won't be a microwave or refrigerator unless you specifically request it and pay more for a room with it. Hotel parking in a garage was $25/day - good until 3pm on day of check-out. For the price of a hotel in the DC area near Chevy Chase, cost of our room was quite reasonable. Set adequate expectations for a budget hotel and you should be satisfied.
