The hotel was chic and very convenient, very close to the hill. The room was comfortable and cute. The staff was all really friendly. The breakfast was delicious and convenient. There is always hot water, coffee, and cucumber and mint water. They made it very easy for me to check in early and check out late, which I really appreciated! I plan to stay again!
Fantastic location in the heart of Capital Hill. Walking distance to Metro but valet parking available at hotel.Easy to check in, cordial staff.Spacious lobby area with hot tea/ coffee, water provided with plenty of areas to sit after a long day of sightseeing. Our room was clean, spacious with lovely bathroom.
This hotel was nearly perfect. Our room was immaculate. The folks at the front desk were very professional and accommodating. Valet parking was nice. Location is close within walking distance to the Capitol, Library of Congress and Supreme Court. Breakfast was plentiful but could have had more choices. We were only in the area for 1 night so didn't get a chance to use their many other amenities. We would definitely stay here again.
Large, clean room with kitchenette and comfortable bed. Recently renovated. Coffee and tea are provided in the lobby. Decent breakfast buffet was included. Walking distance to restaurants and the Capitol.
The main issue for our poor rating is that the HVAC system in our room was turned off or broken. We visited at the beginning of March and had an unseasonably warm weekend. Honestly, this wouldn't have been that big of an issue if the windows could open, but they are all sealed shut, at least the ones in our room. At time's our room reached 80 degree's and became unbearably hot and airless. Neither our 9 or 2 year old slept for 2 nights of our 3 night stay. This really impacted our trip visiting family and trying to take in some sites. We reported the problem to the front desk and never got a straight answer or assistance. We have filed a complaint and are still waiting for follow up from the hotel. Despite our horrible stay, the hotel is located in a great spot, it's clean, the beds are very comfortable and the shower has great pressure. We chose this hotel because it's close to our family, and friends/family have had a positive experience in the past. However, we will not choose this hotel again. …
Capitol Hill hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood and also within a manageable walk to the Capitol Building and Mall. The hotel is clean and bright with a welcoming lobby, including complimentary coffee, tea and fresh fruit. Our room was very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is lovely. The staff are accommodating, friendly and so helpful. Highly recommend Capitol Hill Hotel!
This was a good location for any visit where you need to be close to Capitol Hill. The hotel has the most helpful and cheery staff, moderate breakfast options at the hotel, and it is a short walk to food and experiences.
Hotel and staff are phenomenal!!! Hotel was newly remodeled and the staff was always willing to help and be friendly! This is definitely my BEST experience in DC the last few years! I will be returning!!!
I had a really good experience here. The location is very convenient, right near the Capitol and Smithsonian, with plenty of eateries. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and bellhops were always near the door to open it for you. I was in room 517, which was a junior queen suite. It faced the back of the building and was very quiet. It was very clean. There was nice carpeting. The kitchenette had a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and small sink. Under the sink was a mini bottle of dish soap (bring your own sponge) and 2 small dish cloths. I spent significant time using all the furniture there (desk/chair, arm chair, bed), and all were very comfortable. Lighting is also good. Heating is controlled by a wall thermostat, and there was a working blackout shade to cover the window. The wifi was good - I was able to stream a movie on my laptop without interruption. The toiletries were L'Occitane, which was extra nice. In the closet area are an iron, 2 robes, and even an umbrella. One thing to note is that there is a $25/night amenity charge. There is coffee and tea downstairs 24/7, and some snacks and frozen pizza can be purchased at the front desk. Breakfast is in their 2nd building, you'll need to tap your room key to enter the building. While I was there, the continental breakfast included oranges, bananas, apples, juice, hot drinks, milk, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal packets, granola bars, bagels, bread (for toast), condiments (peanut butter, cream cheese, and jelly packets), pastries, yogurt, eggs, and bacon. I had a great visit and would definitely stay again.…
I have stayed at this hotel before and never experienced the problems I have this time. I had no hot water for days and left messages for the manager. The manger never called me, and the problems with the water were never remedied. I was finally moved to a different room after three days and countless complaints.
