This is the most romantic hotel we have ever stayed in. It is romantic in the sense of its charm and history. We were delighted to meet the owner Danny Coleman, who joked about giving us a test in the afternoon on all the information the front desk supervisor Brenda Ford gave us upon check-in. Danny is very proud of his ownership, and of his highly professional team. Brenda helped us with everything that we asked for, such as where to go to buy a bottle of champagne, loaning us an umbrella, and, of course, all of the precise and useful information in and around the hotel. We visited from Florida, and was not prepared properly for the wind chill effect, as our preparation was only based on the degrees in temperature. We must give a huge amount of thanks to the hotel's offer of hot beverages 24/7, and we warmed up quickly every time we stepped back in from our outings. We have enjoyed the cappuccinos, lattes, hot chocolates, and the selections of tea. Upon departure we said to Brenda, sincerely, that every time we are in DC in the future, we will stay here, and will tell all of our friends to do the same. We had two regrets. One, LFC lost to Bournemouth on the Saturday morning when we had our breakfast in The Dubliner, and we could not celebrate a victory with Patrick, who greeted us upon seeing my LFC jersey. Two, we did not get a chance to have a pint with Danny. We will be back! Karl and Limei from Orlando, Florida…
We are finishing up our last night here as I type this. It has been such a lovely experience! The staff are warm and welcoming. The room, while a bit small (we booked a single bed room and the size reminded me of some hotels we’ve stayed at in Europe), was clean and had a boutique feel to it. The bathroom was roomy and the shower was really nice! It’s so close to the Capitol which is also nice. We walked a lot of places! Will definitely stay again!
you found your hotel !!! loved everything about this place…. the rooms were so beautiful and updated…. the staff outstanding…. the location cant be beat for touring the museums…. and the irish pub attached was crazy fun with a delicious morning breakfast. Book this hotel. youll love.💕
I came here for 2 nights and chose the hotel because I had an early morning train from Union station which is about a 7 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is well located although there are lots of homeless around the area. This is DC and that is part of the picture here, it was fine, not a security issue but to note. There are good things about the hotel and some not so good things. The staff are very nice and the room I had was spacious enough and apart from not having a coffee/tea kettle of some kind, pretty well appointed. Not so good things, it is one of the noisiest hotels I have been in. My room was located by the alley and besides a really noisy HVAC unit, at about 730 in the morning, they were moving the beer barrels (or what sounded like that). In the room, there is an equally loud heating/cooling unit and although the neighbors were pretty quiet, you could hear them. The biggest issue, though, was the noise from outside and old windows that need to be replaced. There is a reason that they include earplugs with the toiletries. Also, and it has been mentioned, $5 water is so stupid. This is not a cheap hotel, give a bottle of water to the guests. Finally, like other guests I was not told about the 2nd floor coffee lounge actually was not told about anything in the hotel! The female check in person was explaining this to others but my guy did not. Lastly, lastly, there is a bar/restaurant but it is really more of a pub. I went in mid week just to get a glass of wine and it was just dark, filled and loud...so not really a hotel bar more a pub adjacent to the hotel...…
Fantastic experience! Beautiful, super friendly staff, clean room and the best pillows! Highly recommend...location is walking distance from Union Station. Price is great also--I stayed based on a review, hope it helps someone else also!
The Phoenix Park Hotel is absolutely lovely! It is a beautiful, boutique hotel that is full of character and charm. I refuse to stay anywhere else when I am in D.C. The rooms are lovely and extremely comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. A trip to the Dubliner (adjacent restaurant/pub accessible through the hotel lobby) is an absolute MUST! Getting to stay at the Phoenix Park Hotel turns my quick business trips to D.C. into little mini vacations.
If you are wanting a convenient location to the National Mall with excellent amenities the Phoenix Park Hotel is place to stay. The room and overall experience was excellent. The staff and employees are very helpful and considerate.
Had a great experience at the Phoenix Park Hotel in January. This is the second year my company has held a meeting here and the hotel exceeds all expectations. Staff is responsive, friendly and can anticipate my needs before I can ask for anything. The banquet staff was great... food was delicious! And my conference services manager was absolutely amazing. Janice Washington is the best... I wish all the CSM's I work with were as responsive and thorough as she is. Plus she is a delight to work with. Cat Iheacho is a fabulous sales manager. I have dealt with other sales managers that seem to disappear after a contract is signed... this is not the case with Cat. She was with me every step of the way. Everyone at the hotel was super friendly, starting with the front desk at check-in. I look forward to holding more events at the Phoenix Park. …
great location near Union Station. We walked down to the Capital and then to the Washington monument. Pub in the hotel had great atmosphere and good food. Very convenient. Room was clean and comfortable. Has an area where you can get coffee at anytime which was nice. Staff was very helpful. Will certainly use again when in town.
My stay was good. Great location…the hotel was steps away from the train station and close to the monuments. However, the rooms were smaller than what I was expecting. The staff was great and provided great customer service. There was also a restaurant on site. We got drinks but no food. I would definitely stay again.
