The hotel is gorgeous. It is a quant old building in a cute Georgetown neighborhood. The rooms are small and noise carries, but I expect that in an old building. The building is what gives the boutique hotel its charm and appeal. The room I was in was small, with just enough room to maneuver around the bed. I was surprised they did not offer an upgrade for Diamond status, given there were only a few other travelers staying, but that's ok as it doesn't always happen. The A/C did not work properly (I set it at 65 degrees and it was over 70 the next morning!), and when management inquired how my stay was I informed them the A/C was not working properly. It took two days for them to respond to see if I wanted someone to address the issue. Two days? I expect if I do not have the 'do not disturb' sign up that the issue is addressed before waiting two days to ask if I want it addressed. The second issue was breakfast. Now, before I complain, the restaurant is themed as a speakeasy in the basement. It is very well done, and the staff (along with the front desk desk staff) were wonderful. However, for a Diamond member they only offer a $15 room credit for breakfast. Well, except for the side dishes, there is only one item at $15, but with tax it still exceeds the credit. I ended up with two eggs and bacon (both side dishes) and still paid the $1.50 extra since it came to $16.50. Management should ensure their loyal customers can order a meal from the menu at no charge. Most Hilton properties I stay at offer $25/person when they offer room credits. The Conrad in Washington DC does just that. Management's response to this complaint was "we will pass that along to the appropriate department".

Overall, it was a nice stay and I would stay there again. My complaints are minor and could easily be addressed. Though, I would consider this a hotel for leisure, not business travel.

Enjoy a near 360-degree view including the Potomac River and M Street. The rooftop is open with clear plastic enclosure, heat lamps and adequate spacing between tables for COVID precautions. Love their drinks. Light fare required, the appetizers are really not the reason to go there though.

We stayed at The Graham so we could watch the DC 4th of July fireworks from their rooftop lounge. They close the lounge off to the public so only guests are allowed. We had this booked for a year and were super excited about it, and it did not disappoint. We even got to bring our little old dog. The view was great, the lounge was nice and the hotel itself was pretty cool. I have to mention the gentleman working at the front desk. His name was Sandon (rhymes with Brandon!) and he was a superstar. We checked in around 3:30pm and by 4:30pm it was pretty obvious that the air conditioning in our room was not functioning properly. He quickly sent the maintenance team, and even though they did their best, it still wasn't working. We called downstairs and Sandon immediately switched us to another room, personally delivered the new keys and brought the valet to move our stuff and housekeeping to make the sofa bed & deliver fresh towels. Totally saved the evening. And also I have to mention that the hotel was understaffed, like a lot of places in the hospitality industry they're still trying to recover from the pandemic. But the employees on staff that day were all excellent, super friendly, and quick to help. They were all working very hard, with a line of people out the door trying to check in with kids, barking dogs, and some impatient guests. And Sandon and his team dropped everything to make sure our situation was rectified. (And the A/C in the new room kept us as cool as a cucumber!) Very pleased with our holiday stay, Thanks Graham Georgetown!

We booked a 3 night stay in Georgetown. The Graham seemed a good option. We decided to book a King Suite Terrace Room. The rate was over 600 USD without breakfast included.

Entering the lobby of the hotel and the check in were suggestive that our expectations had been too high. But we were not prepared for what was coming.

The suite terrace was right in the back of the reception. It was a very dark room, tacky decoration and not very clean (stained carpets and curtains). The terrace was a joke. It was a small walled patio with a cramped sofa, a plastic plant covered wall, a damaged chair and a stained plastic table. Depressing to say the least. And I believe it was not the room we booked and paid for.

However we were not planning to stay long in the hotel so we didn’t complain in the reception and decided to make the most of our Georgetown stay.

The second day we realized the phone in our room was not working and reported to the reception. Later when we arrived at the hotel at 7 pm we realized the room had not been cleaned. We tried to call the reception but the phone was not working.
After requesting we had the room barely cleaned and new towels.

The next morning after waking up we realized we had no water bottles, no coffee pods, the phone was still not working and the robes had been removed. So I had to get dressed, once again head to the reception and request these basic items.

Staff was aloof and seemed not to worry at all with what was a blatant failure on their part.

Our experience was clearly negative. We could deal with the depressing room but not having basic services with such a room rate is simply outrageous.

Not recommending the Graham and not planning to return on our next DC trip.

This property is a hands down winner if you want to be in or near Georgetown. You are steps away from all of the shopping and dining you can imagine, not to mention the universities near by. The property itself has some charm but the rooms themselves are very underwhelming. There is nothing wrong with them, but certainly nothing special. I suppose the bathrooms are nice but the main room is just drab.

The service was great during my visit and everyone displayed a great sense of hospitality. We enjoyed The Alex speakeasy and checked out the rooftop for a moment. A lot of locals visit both spots regularly.

I think the value comes mostly from the amazing location and good service. If you plan to spend most of your time in the room however, you might be best suited to find a property with larger, more comfortable rooms.

We have been staying here for years and it has gotten worse each time. This time was the worst. The hotel needs a complete facelift to start. The AC is still not working and portable units are still in rooms which are loud and difficult to close shades. The front desk staff is not helpful and unprofessional (sitting on the floor one day when we walked in) and the manager is nonexistent. When we checked in they took us to a king room when I had booked two queens. When I said I needed queens they told me they didn’t have any because they let another guest stay an extra night in the queen room. We were asked to wait and walk around which we did but this was at 5:30 pm and we had dinner reservations. In the end they found a room that I don’t think they use often. The smell on the floor was not good. If they don’t spray their room spray it smells moldy throughout hotel. Housekeeping did not come until I asked three times each day and not until 5 pm each day. I would not recommend staying here until they do some maintenance to the hotel and improve service.

Wow….my first time traveling without my husband in 30 years. He told me I could stay anywhere I wanted to this vacation. I picked the Graham in Georgetown because it looked like the perfect hotel for me. I went out of my way to do a ton of research to make sure that I would be comfortable with my stay. I took it one step further and took a suite with a large bathtub. Looking so forward to my time to visit my son and to stay so nice on a trip by myself. When I first arrived I was very impressed my room was beautiful check-in was perfect the bath was fabulous the room was clean the bed was comfortable I was very happy. The next morning feeling great I went downstairs to have breakfast from that moment on everything went downhill. The elevators opened up and there’s a waitress holding what looked like a decent breakfast standing in a puddle of water telling me she is not serving they are not serving any meals I said what’s in your hand she said we have a flood. Plenty of people were dining so I went upstairs and asked the manager why are people Dining and Waitres just told me I can’t eat in the dining room? He told me I should go upstairs and order room service then he told me wait right there. He came back up told me to go downstairs walked back through the flood and proceeded to get horrible service. Before I even ordered I decided with the attitude I was getting I would be better off eating anywhere I got up and I left. I spent the entire day outside of the hotel enjoying my time. Looking very forward to coming back to the hotel room and sadly I walked into a room that had not been cleaned no bed made no fresh towels nothing. It was left just how I left this morning I called downstairs and they said oh because of Covid we don’t have housekeeping every day. I never would’ve stayed in this hotel they should’ve told me about that they should’ve put that on their website. I paid over $600 to stay here for two nights I would expect clean towels and my bed to be made. So basically two stars is because of the terrible dining situation And the fact that they played the Covid card and did not have housekeeping. Then they offered me housekeeping tomorrow which is a big joke because I’m checking out in the morning. It’s too bad because I planned on coming back here more often now that my son goes here to college. I sadly thought this would be my go to hotel. That will not be the case

When traveling I most value a quiet and clean room and comfortable bed. I am there to get good sleep. This hotel delivers. Even though my room was on the second floor and facing the street I did not hear street noise. The bed was extremely comfortable. I was well rested for business meetings and enjoyed my stay.

This small hotel gets everything right. It is in a wonderful location on a quiet Georgetown Street just a short walk from the beautiful Potomac waterfront with lots of dining options and great walking paths. The service at the hotel is friendly low-key completely responsive from the doorman to the front desk staff. We had a lovely suite with a large outside deck comfortably furnished and equipped. The Graham is everything a boutique hotel should be. The rooftop bar is something special, lots of fun and guests at the hotel can make reservations for seating in the bar area.

They have a serious issue with wifi connection which was very poor to non-existent in the room. I had to rely on my data roaming which was consumed quite quickly and had to pay a fortune. Another issue was the AC noise which was too loud. Housekeeping won’t make up your room unless you asked them to and even with that they come very late. I had to wait outside at 8pm on day.

But the most concerning issue is related there unprofessionalism and lack of integrity. I had a package that was delivered to the hotel (company provided evidence) but was lost. Despite repeated attempts they were unable to locate it. When I left the US they said they will try to find it and ship it to me. The last i heard from them is that I should contact the company to request a refund and that they are not responsible for the loss …

I find it very unprofessional from them to 1) loose the package and 2) deny responsibility even though I provided them with the date and time at which the package was delivered in addition to the name of the employee who received it.

I will live without the package but I find this attitude to be totally unacceptable.
