We were at the igloos at the in whiskey bar next door at the water gate hotel, it was such a unique experience we love the design and how we were able to sit outside with the heater. Suman our server was so attentive and very professional and amazing! Such a nice person.
I recently stayed at the Watergate Hotel (Fri, Jun 3 - Sun, Jun 5, 2022) as part of a conference taking place at the Kennedy Center. It was humbling to be staying in such a historic property - I loved being able to visit the Scandal Room and learn all about the Nixon/Watergate scandal in the room where it happened! The location was perfect. I was able to conveniently walk to the Kennedy Center, get my haircut in the Watergate complex - that also has a CVS, a dry cleaner (and a liquor store for those who drink!). The hotel is next to the Foggy Bottom metro (you can catch a free shuttle from the Kennedy Center or walk in less than 10 minutes). The front desk, doormen and sales staff bent over backwards to make sure my group had everything they needed. Lori, Katy, Kristina and Gonzalo were amazing hotel contacts! Breakfast at Kingbird was delicious! The spacious Library and Cecchi Ballroom where great for our meetings. I loved my well-appointed room, with a nice balcony for incredible views! The bathroom was updated, and lighting/temperature controls were something out of Star Trek (very modern)! The hotel gives you both old and new Washington. A nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city, while providing the sophistication, culture and history of our Nation's Capital. Cannot wait to return for another stay!…
Amazing service here!!! I attended a work conference here, Mon-Thur. Great place to host a conference. These folks know what they’re doing. Everything is timely, great set ups in the conference rooms and lobby areas. Impressive IT team with great tech. Neat stages…just awesome. As for the hotel part, really comfy beds, good food and drinks. You can’t beat the historical significance either. I’ll definitely be back.
I enjoyed my two night stay at The Historic Watergate Hotel. The front office team was welcoming and efficient upon my arrival. My room was spacious and spotless, I enjoyed my morning coffee in the balcony with a beautiful lake view. Location was just perfect, a pleasant 20 minute walk to the White House and its sounding areas and a 10 minute walk to M Street in Georgetown, great shops and dining options. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious and the team very attentive. You must try to experience for yourself D.C's most famous hotel. A fantastic stay all around, looking forward to returning.
We had a great weekend getaway at the Watergate Hotel! We brought our 5 month old and received great accommodations with a crib in the room that had a fitted crib sheet. The service was superb, Matthew Deudne ensured that our stay was excellent. The staff exceeded our expectations. Would definitely recommend and return again!
The Watergate is easily one of the best hotels in DC, we stayed for a staycation in the Georgetown and DuPont area and couldn't be happier with our experience. The hotel decor is all very well coordinated and unique, with a modern 70s twist. The property is beautiful with great views and a pool and the rooms are extremely comfortable and have logo'd towels and robes, with great views of Georgetown and the river. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile and professional attitude. We wish that we got names, but the doorman on the weekends, the whiskey bar servers, the room service server, and the check-in staff Friday night we're all fantastic and made our stay that much better. We were even assisted by Matthew, one of the hotel managers, when we checked out, great to see managers assisting their teams. We will absolutely be back and can't wait!…
Finished up a 4th visit at Watergate with a New Years Eve visit. With no plans we decided to venture down to spend New a years Eve with Yah Yah in the Next Whiskey Bar. As in prior visits, she did not disappoint. Excellent service. She is the best.
We had a wonderful stay. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The view of the river was beautiful from our room. The location was also very accessible. Ahmed and Lucia from the front desk treated us very well during check-in and check-out. Overall, a very satisfactory experience.
We had a great New Years weekend at the Watergate. The Hotel’s location is great, as you can can easily get to Georgetown (including an easy walk to the river walk area), Foggy Bottom and the Mall area. The Hotel’s staff, including Ahmed at the front desk, were always respectful and courteous. Our stay started off poorly when we were previously informed that my Audi ETron could be charged at the Hotel. Hotel Manager Matthew Deudne, however, demonstrated his resolve and commitment when he was able to personally solve our car charging situation. Thank you to Matthew and the rest of the team for making our stay a great.
Overpriced. Outdated (excluding rooms). This was a waste of money. Unkept grounds. Denied included breakfast in my package because we didn't make reservations that were NOT required. Our name was on a list the day before, but not on the list on the 2nd day of my stay. Make that make sense, please. It's not a good start to the new year at this hotel. This nonsense threw off our new year day plans for the entire day. Wasn't able to eat anything until 4 pm. We will not come back. There are too many options that are updated with more to offer. I should have known when I walked in as a guess was complaining at the desk. He said he stayed because of something specific they offered. (Charging his electric car. But they couldn't do it). Also, I understand the location is "infamous" what they charge for this crap hotel they could power wash the building, which looks horrible.…
