Detailed Reviews
Cherise and a gentleman whose name I cannot remember offered excellent customer service at the front desk during my stay the night of January 18th. They helped me find a cell phone I misplaced and were patient while I asked a variety of questions. They showed interest in a track meet I was running and offered plenty of pre-race pleasant energy.
This hotel felt contemporary, clean, and comfortable. I look forward to returning and using the nearby Navy Yard metro station and trying the Wild Oak restaurant that reviews indicate has excellent salmon and veggie dishes.
I only wish the parking garage was more affordable than ~$50 or it was clearer where one might park overnight rather than using the valet (parking garage).

Hello and thanks for taking the time to write a review! I'm delighted that you were pleased with the service you received from Cherise and her colleague. Our team loves taking care of our guests, including when someone is in a bind (glad you located your phone!). As for parking, it can certainly be a challenge in all areas of the city - there is generally more demand than supply which can drive up prices. I hope you'll return to try one of the wonderful restaurants and be our guest at the Courtyard again!

A wonderful choice for travelers to see the Washington Nationals play. The location is a short walk to the ballpark and offers on-premises parking. The room was pretty standard with a good use of space and appropriate cleanliness features in this COVID environment. Front desk staff were great from check-in to check-out during our brief stay. We enjoyed the goodies that came with the ballpark package deal.
Coffee shop around the corner, next to parking garage entrance had baked goods for our early departure.

We are thrilled that we were able to find something so last minute with the pending bad weather. When we arrived, even though it was late in the evening the young lady was so nice and knowledgeable about the hotel and area, we knew at this point that we chose well. The water pressure was prefect and HOT, perfect for morning and evening. We were a quick walk from the water and many restaurants which helped quickly get what we needed and enjoy a few sights while we were there. All in all, we will definitely be back.

This was our first stay at the Courtyard in the Navy Yard. Didn't realize they have been there for seven years. Nicely appointed and about a mile or so from the nations Capitol. We normally stay at the Residence Inn because of the breakfast and happy hour, however due to Covid things have changed quite a bit. The Courtyard did provide coffee and of course the Marketplace was open but all other food options were closed. Also, due to Covid please confirm in advance normal ammenities you might expect (i.e., gym, pool, etc). We had a King room which is great, however the TV is located quite a distance from the bed.
The hotel is located in an area which has been redeveloped so you have plenty of stores/shops/dining options. For us the biggest plus is the Metro (Green Line) is right across the street

We were only here for a night to catch a Nats game. The location is fantastic as the stadium is a short walking distance. I was notified of my upgrade with SNA the night before arrival and was placed in a nice suite, the extra space was appreciated. Check-in was a breeze and the personnel were extremely polite and mentioned the breakfast offering has not yet been reestablished but recommended a nice restaurant as a substitute. There is a small bistro in the lobby however we didn't use it so my thoughts are pretty neutral about it. All in all this was a great location as a lot of eating options within walking distance as well as the metro within a block. We will definitely look to stay here again in the future if need be.

We stayed at this hotel overnight and the only option for parking without parking over $50 was parking on the street. Upon checking in and obtaining the card to go through the gate. We proceeded to the garage and discovered the so called Valet parking. Upon checkout the Front Desk person told us she doesn’t call for cars and we had to go to the garage to retrieve our car. We did and there was no one around. We went back upstairs and the same front desk person was calling for someone else’s car, so we provided her with our ticket as well. Most people who valet park the car is brought to them when they are ready to leave. We went outside and waited approximately 20 minutes no car. My husband went back inside and was told to go back to the garage. The same front desk staff who saw us exit the hotel never said anything. The valet parking is a joke. I’m a Marriott Rewards Member and would not recommend or stay at this hotel again. They should have told you to park your own car and just charged the fee for regular parking. I think we deserve a refund and the Front Desk needs to be retrained.

Hello Moonjeje, I do sincerely apologize to hear about your stay with us. The parking situation should not have been made so complex and for that I apologize. We do have some new team members with us and I will personally see to it that we are continuing training to ensure similar experiences do not happen in the future. Appreciate your time in leaving a review with us so we can learn and grow better in the future. Best Regards, Jason

Good location near Metro station.
Navy Yard witin walking walking distance.
Highway and railroad overpass walking route available to Capitol and museums.
Housekeeping didn't service room each day. Room not cleaned, trash not emptied, soap not provided and towels not replaced.
Reservation agent verified breakfast included in rate, but local staff would not honor corporation's commitment.
Multiple food/bar staff were all helpful and accomodating, genuinly concerned with customers and providing great service.
Front desk staffs' response to problems was that they wouldn't be there the next day with no attempt to correct the hotel's errors.

Immediately upon entry the front desk team meets you with a friendly greeting. We observed that Managers are often on duty at that desk which sets a great welcoming tone from all the team.
There’s a great little morning cafe serving a combo of Starbucks cuisine combined with some surprisingly delicious entrees made by the staff. The restaurant team is hard working and service oriented.
The location is fantastic, in proximity to the river walk and ball park and an easy walk to landmarks such as the Capitol.
We all had a fantastic time in DC, and this hotel was a highlight.

I did not stay at this property, however, my husband did and he absolutely loved it. I actually called a few times with some requests to make my husband feel closer to home since it is the first time he’s ever been from our newborn and me. Kiana at the front desk always answered the phone with enthusiasm and made sure to fulfill all of my requests. Thank you for making us feel closer to each other during these times. Kiana was nothing but wonderful, and always went out of her way to make us happy!

We had a great experience on a recent weekend trip to see the Nationals play. We arrived early so our rooms were not ready and they were quite busy. The staff there did everything they could do including finding up parking, taking our phone number and helping us with a couple of requests while we were waiting. One employee in particular, Bryan, went above and beyond to help us by finding available rooms and helping with our requests. I noticed he was as helpful to other guests, in addition to assisting other less experienced staff with their duties.
