Great physical space - intimate. Tailored. We stayed in suite 407 and loved the long hall in the suite as well as an excellent and spacious bathroom. Shower was outstanding. Everyone on staff was outstanding and professional. The rooftop bar is an added bonus. We are frequent four seasons users and the price point here when we came was much better for the value. The only thing truly lacking is the gym - really small and fairly useless.

All things considered for 2020, we really enjoyed our stay at The Rosewood in Georgetown. The staff, led by Gabor, was all very helpful and accommodating. We stayed in a Rosewood Suite and loved everything about the room. It was clear a lot of care had been taken to make sure the room was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. There was even a personal care kit in the room which included masks, wipes and a small bottle of hand sanitizer. Unfortunately the restaurant closed just before our arrival (DC Covid restrictions on indoor dining) but we look forward to returning when the property is fully open. Thank you to the full staff for making our stay so enjoyable!

We came here for a romantic 4th of July getaway, and immediately loved the location in a quiet corner of Georgetown next to the canal and tow path where we took a long stroll. Our room was upgraded thanks to Am Ex membership, and we had a sunny corner suite with nice views, plus a large bathroom with a nice vanity and tub next to the window. I was thrilled finally to find an American hotel with a bidet! (It's the little things...) The bed was very comfortable and despite the fireworks outside the room was quiet at night, maybe because of the thick windows. And... Wolfgang Puck! After eating the delicious dark chocolate they sent as a welcome, we had divine truffle fries and cocktails in the indoor bar (too hot for rooftop) because we were walking to the waterfront for dinner. Next time we'll try the restaurant. Also, the rooftop pool was booked solid (it's small) so next time we'll make a reservation. The staff were all very professional, from desk clerk to doorman. All told, a wonderful stay. We'll be back.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large & sunny. Probably quieter the further away from the rooftop bar.

Beautiful building. Very homy. Very elegant. Rooms are great. Very comfortable bed. Unfortunately my room didn’t have a bathtub but nice marble bathroom. Considering the size of the hotel and the price per night, the service could be more personalized and more attention to the guests could be expected.
The pool on the roof top is amazing with a lovely bar.

Dear Sebinasia, Thank you for your kind review of our hotel, much appreciated! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again very soon. It appears that a bathtub is important to you - for future stays - please note that our Superior Rooms and Deluxe Room with 2 Beds do not have tubs - but all others do. I appreciate the feedback regarding the service and will ensure it is shared with the team. I am confident your next stay will be exactly as you expect. Please let us know if we can be of any assistance in the meantime. Sincerely, Gabor L. Vida Managing Director Rosewood Washington, D.C.

I booked my stay through AllCall and was pleased with their recommendation. The room was spacious, has lovely architectural details, and the hotel was in a central location in Georgetown. We had a $60 room credit for daily breakfast, which didn't totally cover the cost of breakfast. It covered about 1 entree per person (there were two of us) and one of us could get juice or coffee. That being said the food and service were great. I called in advance and let the hotel know we were celebrating my husband's birthday. They delivered a gift of chocolate truffles on the day closest to his actual birthday. Unfortunately, the plate said Happy Anniversary (I guess something got lost in translation), but the effort was still very nice. The staff who heard about the mistake brought us mimosas with breakfast the following morning. Overall a very nice stay.

The DC Rosewood provided us was a fantastic weekend get away. The hotel is located right off the main street in Georgetown, with close proximity to shopping and restaurants. The hotel has a cozy library room and intimate feeling restaurant and bar area. The food, for dinner (CUT) or breakfast is top notch. The rooftop is lovely and a nice place to have snacks or a drink, or to take advantage of the indoor/outdoor heated pool. We were upgraded to an incredible Townhouse- the property has about 10 of them right next door to the main hotel building. We enjoyed the massive, clean, and very well decorated space, a kitchen and even a fireplace- making it perfect for a rainy afternoon inside! Staff was attentive and onsite valet parking is available. We are looking forward to coming back! Be sure to take advantage of AmEx Platinum benefits- $100 F&B credit, included breakfast, and extended check in/outs!

The Rosewood DC was my first choice for my rehearsal dinner and getting ready spot in the Presidential Suite for my wedding. I met with the sales team to see the space and they were nice and attentive on sight but were delayed in getting me a proposal (they asked me for all the details again because they didn't take notes and then the head guy said he was leaving the hotel and sent me to others who would never got in touch despite me asking.) I decided not to waste anymore time and contacted the Four Seasons who booked my rehearsal dinner with 24 hours and offered me a very favorable room rate. Something is not right at the Rosewood in DC and the lack of attention to detail is not consistent with the quality of the brand. They lost out on some good business.

My second time staying at this property. Even though not everything was open or available, we were able to have room service our first stay earlier in January. From the friendly gentleman who greeted us outside when we arrived to front desk to waiter delivering our dinner, everyone was professional and friendly and accommodating. Just a great vibe here. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the bed ridiculously comfortable, I will look forward to enjoying dinner in the restaurant and drinks at the welcoming bar the next time. Highly recommend

We booked the Presidential Suite several months in advance for a week for a once in a lifetime occasion only to find one week before arrival that the hotel had rebooked us into a Townhouse. After checking in, we learned that the hotel had another kitchen fire and closed the restaurant and several hotel rooms. We were required to move after three days to accommodate another booking. Townhouses were not equipped with basics and even after asking several times staff struggled to resolve issues such as why the refrigerator/freezer, phone and several lights didn’t work. Operating hours for the Penthouse communicated did agree with reality. Townhouses on 31st are awful due to noise on the street. The sound of jackhammers, chain saws, sledgehammers and seeing several rats in patios has been really special. The Rosewood used to be a wonderful hotel.

Dear Carmelo Travel, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. We apologize for not meeting your expectations during your stay. Kindly note that we would like to extend a $300 credit due to the inconvenience you experienced. The project is scheduled to be completed soon and we hope to welcome you back. Sincerely, Gabor Vida

The Rosewood DC is remarkably disappointing. More expensive than comparable rooms at the Ritz or Four Seasons, there are essentially no luxury amenities. Sadly, Cut the restaurant had a kitchen fire and therefore there is no way to get anything to eat at the hotel. I had to go grocery shopping. They did not offer any discount for this inconvenience. The did make the minibar complementary except for liquor….and there is essentially nothing to eat in the minibar. The room is small and inconvenient. The “partial canal view” is just a brick wall. One must stand to look out the window if water is to be seen-and only then with great focus. More accurately this is a brick wall view. There is no spa, the fitness facility is smaller than a bathroom with no modern equipment in it except a single peleton bike with bad pedals. It’s a travesty to the Rosewood brand. They should close the hotel and renovate, modernize-or drop the prices to reflect the current facade.

Dear F586KPtaniaf: Thank you for posting your thoughts about your recent stay with us. I am very sorry that it did not meet your expectations. We, too, are very sad that the incident in the kitchen has resulted in us not being able to occupy that space and provide the In-Room Dining you were hoping for - we hope to have this matter rectified shortly. I do hope that you enjoyed the complimentary breakfast we had set up in the lounge for all our guests. I also hope that the fresh fruit bowls that we delivered to you helped the situation. The room you occupied (about 420 square feet) does have unobstructed views of the canal, I believe the brick wall to which you are referring is the exterior wall of the building on the opposite side of the canal. As you know, there is no reference to a spa on our site but we do offer in-room massage services - one of which was offered to you with our compliments. We shall review the verbiage regarding the fitness center but the listing of equipment on the page is accurate. Overall, I am sorry that we didn't meet your expectations and hope that the eduction of your room rate that was offered helped to ease this a bit. I hope we have the chance to welcome you back in the near future and be able to deliver the experience you expect. Sincerely, Timothy Edgecombe Director of Sales
