My experience at the Mandarin Oriental was great! When you stepped in the door, there were tunes of the piano playing in their bar, the staff gave you a warm sanitized hand towel to wipe your hands with and water. The service was extraordinary and I felt like everyone on the staff cared about our needs and they were so nice and professional. The room was neat, anytime we call for anything it was sent to us with promptness. I would absolutely come back to stay!

I booked this overnight almost a year ago for my adult daughter and I, and wow it was a much needed escape. Beautifully appointed property and lovely staff. Still waiting to be sent the pillow website, trust me... you will want their pillows too!

Great place to stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel was close many restaurants and museums. The staff went above and beyond to assure that we had what we needed. It is a must when in DC.

We normally stay at Mandarin Oriental in Singapore and H.K., and they are wonderful. We thought it would be nice to try this brand in the D.C. The service was very good except for a lady working in the lobby lounge, very obnoxious and impolite. Our room was clean & spacious, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. We were walking distance from the Wharf (10 min) and many other sights such as Washington Memorial, Capitol Hill, the Smithsonian Museums. The biggest disappointment was the New Years Gala dinner. A 5 course dinner that started at 8 pm and ended at 10 pm, so they rushed us through just to get us out before 10 pm. Horrible! The food was served cold, one course straight after the other and the only nice thing was the Laurent Perrier champagne. For nearly 400 $ each they could have planned a dinner all the way through midnight, instead we had to go back to our rooms because the crowd at the lobby was crazy (additional 50$ each if we wanted to join the party). This was the worse new years gala evening i've ever had! The hotel is nice, the service is good but my NYE was not one to remember.

We had a wonderful, relaxing staycation. The special package offered was the reason for our stay once our travel plans got cancelled to visit family. Every team member we interacted with was pleasant and helpful. We loved the extra holiday touches like the hot apple cider in the lobby.
