I loved my stay at the Lyle. It was quiet and clean. I never had a chance to check out the restaurant but I definitely will next time. Johnny was super accommodating and helpful to answer any questions I might have. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit.
My family and I visited DC for a long weekend to celebrate my mother-in-law. Our stay at the Lyle was nothing short of amazing. JOHNNY, the concierge, was the BEST! He treated my family like royalty. The hotel, restaurant and valet were 5 star. Johnny went above and beyond to make my kids and my handicap mother-in-law happy. The rooms were spacious and this was the only hotel to guarantee joined rooms. The food, drinks and Marcus at the restaurant did not disappoint. Thank you for a great experience. JOHNNY, YOU'RE AWESOME!
I stayed in Lyle a year ago as part of saying goodbye to 35 years of living in the US. It was an absolutely wonderful experience in every way. The deluxe double queen room was large, very comfortable and well appointed. My bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The hotel's beautiful Art Deco architecture and style only enhanced our glorious experience. Breakfast on the Saturday was excellent though my friend didn't care for all the guests that morning. No problem with the valet parking. The staff in general were lovely: attentive and helpful. The location was first-rate in a pleasant leafy neighbourhood with lots of lovely cafes. It was a pleasure to walk around. All in all, the best hotel I've known in my more than half century of travelling. It was expensive but well worth it for this final special occasion in my favourite American city. Very highly recommended.…
The Lyle hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff Lilly went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable in arranging the right needs for my being a light sleeper and needing quiet. The cleanliness and comfortable room was spacious, modern, hip, and the bed was Uber comfortable. I am very picky so this is said with sincerity. The entire front office staff was always cheerful, accommodating and helpful. The hotel itself is close to the subway and all monuments. The restaurant and bar scene was close but not too close. Highly recommend the Lyle.
Most wonderful experience again at Lyle; thanks to Johnny! He always goes far and beyond to make my stay exceptional. Also, the restaurant is wonderful and their service is amazing. Try their burger and chocolate mousse.. out of this world! I can’t wait to return in April.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff were amazing. Particularly the front desk staff, Johnny Pelzer was delightful and made me laugh at every encounter while being professional at the same time. The restaurant bar service was friendly and accommodating I will return Joe
Great upscale boutique hotel and restaurant in DuPont Circle. Location is also great; close to the national mall while not feeling touristy. Upon check in Johnny treated us to a complementary drink voucher for 2 at the bar and had champagne and banana bread sent to our room upon learning we were celebrating my husbands birthday. We dined at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Food, drinks, and ambience were great. Seemed like a popular spot with locals as well. Would definitely revisit!
Another great stay at the Lyle. Many thanks to Johnny Pelzer and the Lyle team for their amazing hospitality. The location, the room, food and the bar are all fantastic. I look forward to my next stay.
Outstanding! Every single staff member went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. I could not have asked for a better stay in d.c. Close to a metro, in a very walkable neighborhood. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Johnny made sure our check out was smooth and that we enjoyed our stay. The doormen were so helpful, juggling four suitcases and a stroller was a breeze once we arrived because they ran to our car to help us unload. The best hotel, with the best staff. You need to stay here.
The staff at the Lyle were fantastic, particularly Johnny. Not only was he warm and welcoming to me and my wife but the engagement with Lola (my service dog) was the best. She loved their interaction and the treats in particular. This place is a must stay if you are visiting DC!
