The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. stands out as one of the best four Ritz-Carlton hotels in the D.C. area. I have been fortunate to visit Tysons Corner, Pentagon City, and Georgetown as well, but this Ritz-Carlton has an unique charm. Its agreement with Equinox allows for easy access to any guests wanting to use these amazing gym facilities. For a $15 fee, you are able to use all the equipment, pool, steam room, sauna and executive room. It was worth being there during a rainy day and have access to this top notch facility.

In addition, the club level access provides a lot of convenience to any guest with five food presentations throughout the day. Jason and Nayana went above and beyond during our stay to make sure all of our needs were met. Kudos to Nayana for working by herself on a hectic Monday, where she handled all guests' requests and made sure that tables were clean, guests were satisfied, and everyone was greeted with a smile. Staying on the 9th floor or above will certainly make your stay extra special, especially if you want peace with a garden view.

Special thanks to Nina for the quality of service that she provided, even prior to our stay. She had a lot of patience in dealing with so many requests and made sure that we were satisfied with every detail. She is quite an amazing person and deserves a lot of recognition for her hard work, dedication, and making sure everyone is accommodated as much as possible. Thank you Nina for all you do and for being such a great employee of this hotel brand name.

I highly recommend that you book way in advance to secure a good nightly rate and room type. Parking fees are $59 per night, but it is worth it due to the hotel's location near West End and Georgetown. I would definitely consider this hotel and definitely recommend it for a future stay.

Stayed for business & the cross departmental employees was nothing short of amazing. The Registration team whether day or night oozed out so much positive energy & assistance, I plan to return for a Staycay visit.

My room which dubbed more as a small suite offered a private sitting area with a good view of NHamp/21Street comings & goings. The 65/70" Flat Screen TV was adjustable per your choice of sitting/lounging. & let's not forget to mention the Automated minibar with sensors & snack trays with built-in electronic scales. Not sure which one was being utilized here, yet it was definitely activated.

The bathroom was huge with a separate commode/telephone, garden tub & standing shower amongst the well lit dual vanity sinks. After I OCD the bathtub, I ran my bath & realized that I left my soaking essentials at home. When I called the Front Desk to inquire if the Gift Shop/Sundry Market had any sorts of bathtub essentials, I was asked to wait a few moments & someone would further assist me. To my surprise, one of the Housekeeping employees tapped on my door & brought me a fancy bag with even a fancier jar full of Bubble Bath with additional toiletries...I did not bring the jar home with me (smile).

When it was all said & done, I slept like a baby on the plush-top mattresses.

Hats off to the Valet Team - both the day & night shifts. The team maneuvered our fleet of seven vehicles with precision & professional courtesy, even amongst my requests on continuum.

Such a wonderful stay.

I had previously stayed at this Ritz Carlton for work and decided to return for a romantic anniversary long weekend getaway. Service continues to be consistent and impeccable. Our early check in process (and using the app to check in online also helped) was seamless and efficient. Kenneth took care of us and we were checked-in and in our rooms within 5mins.
Club Lounge: The lounge had a nice homely feel to it. It was cozy yet spacious. Service was attentive yet unobtrusive. The lounge was rarely busy. We had breakfast daily at the lounge which was buffet style and we were spoiled with a broad selection. The daily hors d'oeuvre with choice of wine or cocktail were amazing along with dessert served after 8pm. A huge shout out to Beri, Jason and Pavel who took care of us in the lounge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ritz Carlton Washington DC and the staff made it a memorable stay along with the little touches to help us celebrate our anniversary.

We booked the Ritz Carlton DC location on 22nd Street several months ago for a special birthday weekend for our daughter's 21st birthday. We booked club level and were really looking forward to the special treatment and celebrating her weekend in style. Unfortunately once we got into our lock period of a few days before our trip we were notified that Club Level was being shut down due to the Coronavirus 19. We were offered a daily voucher to use the restaurant and bar but very little was open at the hotel with a small staff. I wish I would have been offered an option to cancel but that did not happen. So we rolled with the punches and made the best of our stay.. The issue is that drinks and food are so expensive in the bar and restaurant that a $100 voucher does not go very far. I asked the staff if there were drink vouchers but they did not really know how to proceed. We did order a cake for our daughter and it was amazing. The sugar flower was incredible and she really liked the cake. The hotel was basically empty and the bar shut down early along with the restaurant for varied hours. I would suggest to the management if the terms change then you should provide options to your guests to also change. Checkout was a painful process because I had to prove via email the arrangements made to get the appropriate credits applied to my final bill. I know this is a difficult moment in many large cities in the United States and the staff was doing their best but if you are going to shut down portions of a hotel then you should make sure the guests are completely aware of what they are getting into and have an option out. Looking forward to my next Ritz Carlton trip and having the full club experience once everything settles down.

My fiance and I were attending a wedding held here and decided to make a long weekend out of it. The room we had was spacious and clean. The bar area was nice and we were looking forward to the weekend.

Upon returning to our room after the housekeeping services came through, I realized two of my bracelets I had sitting in a cup were gone. Please note that I am not accusing the housekeeping staff of purposefully taking my items. However, I do believe they were likely discarded because of carelessness while cleaning our room. I travel often and when hotels do not have jewelry dishes, I will typically place my items in a cup when I take them off to shower, etc.. I brought this up to the front desk and they sent over a representative named Rosemary Plater. She was very kind and seemed to be helpful. She gave me her number and email and told me to reach out with specifics of the jewelry and they would do their best to replace it. I reached out several times with absolutely no response...one of the bracelets that went missing was an antique given to me by my grandmother. Quite a disappointment! We are approaching the year mark and I still have not gotten any kind of resolution. I'm not sure if she mistakenly gave me the wrong email & phone number, but this is unacceptable.

Although I did enjoy the property, I would not choose to stay here again. Washington DC is full of beautiful hotels and I would rather give my business elsewhere!

I was here for a conference which ended at 12:00pm, with the possibility of running late by a few minutes. I asked for a late check out from the reception manager, Amanda who was extremely unhelpful, not even offering a 1pm check out. My friend was asking for the same thing right next to me and she was kindly offered a 1pm to facilitate attending the end of the conference. I mentioned how in Hawaii the ritz offered a 3pm check out and Amanda just rudely responded it’s at the discretion of the property. There are many ways to apologize for no later availability for check out....this was not one of them. She was rude, unapologetic, and unreasonable since my friend was already getting a 1pm. You’d think any customer of the Ritz Carlton staying with a conference would get more curtesy about a 1pm check out when the conference ends at 12pm. I will personally make a recommendation to the ACC as well to not choose this specific location due to the manager’s lack of customer service skills and inability to accommodate basic needs for a conference....like check out after the conference is over.

Arrived as DC was “closing down” due to COVID-19. (Short trip to get an updated passport.). Received an email indicating our cruise was cancelled AS we arrived. Decided to just enjoy a night before returning home.

Parked below the hotel, then took the elevator to the reception floor. Kenneth Hastings (Kenny), at the desk, greeted us with a friendly smile and listened sympathetically to our story about our cancelled cruise. He offered us a glass of champagne to help soften the blow of losing our vacation. We checked in quickly and went to our room.

Just as we arrived at our room, the phone rang. It was Kenny suggesting that we not unpack as he’d been able to move us to a better room. (He felt badly for us traveling so far, just to find out that our cruise was cancelled.)

Ali, a valet, knocked at the room door at that moment, loaded his cart with our luggage and took us to our new room.

We were STUNNED, as they had upgraded us to the Presidential Suite. It honestly made our night and week!!

The rooms were clean, well-appointed, spacious, and pure luxury. We relaxed for 30 minutes, then went to the lounge, just in time to get a drink and lovely cheese plate.

At Kenny’s suggestion, we went to Le Diplomate for dinner. Hopping French restaurant.

The next morning we enjoyed room service (eggs benedict delivered hot, fresh fruit and fabulous French croissants), but we’d forgotten the suite had a dining room (smile), so we ate it in the lounge area of the suite. We showered (great toiletries!), dressed, and then went to the passport office. We returned and checked out at about 12:00.

GREAT stay, and much appreciated upgrade! Reminded me why I used Ritz Carlton and Marriott for business for many years, and why I’ve always loved them as a hotel brand.

Hotel is old and worn down. It feels dirty and unhygienic. Have a room on the 6th floor (although being a Marriot Bonvoy member and the hotel having 11 floors) which is dark and cold. The ventilation is running the whole time (windows cannot be opened) even if the aircondition is off. This old ventilation is incredibly loud and vibrating which is a nuisance during the day and absolutely annoying in the night. Feels like „sleeping“ on a boat directly above the motor. Maybe you don’t recognize when you have a room facing the multiple lane street which is a traffic nightmare in the morning. There are no gimmicks like night light in the bathroom or tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Staff is unfriendly, in particular in the Saga restaurant where they are serving breakfast. Location is mediocre, the good restaurants and shops are far away (but you have a gas station directly across). For the gym you have to pay USD 15 extra per person per day which is a joke and which they don’t tell anywhere on the website or during the booking process, only at checkin when it is too late. Summary: Not worth any money, go elsewhere.

WOW!! What an incredible stay! This is certainly the best hotel I have ever stayed in in Washington D.C., and we travel here often. From the second we arrived until the moment we left, we had a wonderful experience. The room we stayed in was impeccable, there was literally not even a speck of dust to be found anywhere. In addition, all the staff was so helpful! No matter what I needed, they were always able to accommodate me. Truly a 5-star experience! I hope to return one day.
