We stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott located near the Convention Center for more than 10 weeks this summer and our extended stay couldn’t have been better!

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to the general manager Togi Mahdere who is a wonderful hospitality professional and he made sure we felt “at home” during our stay. We truly enjoyed the comfort of being home as well as the luxury of staying at a nice hotel at the same time. We also want to thank Cherie from the front desk who has become our puppy’s best friend and who always welcomed us with the biggest smile! Oh! How can we forget about the housekeeping staff who are also amazing! As well as The Delegate restaurant team who served us delicious meals and hot breakfast every morning! Special thanks to Eza who with her kind words and smiley face turned our breakfast buffet experience into a heartwarming morning routine for us.

For a short weekend stay or a 3-month extended stay, I would give this hotel 5 stars and highly recommend to everyone looking for a super clean, super safe, super comfortable housing option.

Thank you Residence Inn team! We will be back!

I was recently in town for a convention and I picked this location because it was right across the street from the convention center. The staff really made it a fantastic experience. I had a late check in, and right off the bat the woman at the front desk was so helpful and made checking in quick and efficient. She generously gave me a bottle of water, which after my long journey was much appreciated!

I have to give a special shoutout to Shirlena, who is one of the cleaning staff. She could not have been kinder to me. I happened to pop my head out of the room when she was cleaning a nearby room, and she made sure I had everything I needed, and also made sure to give me several bottles of water as well.

The staff at the upstairs rooftop bar, The Delegate, were so nice as well--they helped us navigate the no-contact ordering. And when I needed to tape up a box for mailing, the kindly front desk attendants loaned me some packing tape to do so!

My room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is clean, the service is above and beyond, and everyone is just incredibly kind and good at their jobs. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

My wife, my dog, and I spent 4 weeks at this hotel visiting our daughters. The location is great. It is a short walk to Sweet Greens, where we frequently picked up salads, Cafe Dolcezza or La Columbe, where we got cappuccinos, Dogtopia, where we dropped our dog for grooming, and the Apple store, where we investigated technology upgrades.

Parking underneath the hotel was very reasonable and easy to access.

The rooms served our needs perfectly with a living area separate from the bedroom and a huge, comfortable bathroom.

Togi, the assistant general manager, checked us in, remembered our names, and helped whenever we had questions. His helpfulness and constant upbeat smile really added to the overall great experience.

For a top brand hotel, this visit was a disappointment. Desk staff not well trained, did not give us info on which elevators to use nor that there was a key card swipe required. Room a/c slow reacting to temp requests, cycles too long. Water faucet in bathroom was just a dribble. Desk clerk told us no breakfast, but there was a buffet, with an empty scrambled egg pan, greasy sausage, no potatoes. Little things, but enough that we will stay elsewhere next time.

I had such high expectations based off the reviews. 1st room had massive amounts of hair on the bathroom floor I could barely stomach it take the pictures. I showed the front desk, and the rep was very nice and moved us to a better room. HOWEVER, it was just better with more space, not really cleaner.
The bathroom was in need of a good scrubbing, because of mold in the shower, and corner of floor, the room curtains we falling, and the carpet was filthy. Does anyone inspect? Or do quality control on room cleaning and write up the lack of care and maintenance that is needed for basic upkeep? I would hate to see their homes.

It is the 4th of July weekend, so most rooms are booked, so I had no choice but to stay. I had to clean the room to stay in it for our trip. I didn't want the housekeeping to do any touching of our stuff. I didn't want to have to re-clean over her lack of attention to detail.
Free breakfast was boring with only turkey sausage, bacon and some biscuit with cheese. No variety. No waffle iron or French toast. If you want more then there is the expensive restaurant with limited choices. The staff appears very lazy. They only do the bare minimum at best, and not even that. I can positively say I will not EVER stay here again.

Maintaining a clean atmosphere within our guest rooms and common areas is important and I apologize that we did not fulfill that expectation during your visit. The areas of opportunities that you shared have been shared with our housekeeping leaders to ensure this is an isolated incident. My hope is the next time you are in the area, you will give us another chance to provide the guest experience we strive to deliver. Safe travels!

Their trendy doorless bathroom shower design ensures a constant splatter of water onto the floor near the sink while you shower, soaking any and all towels placed there.

Speaking of the sink: this monstrosity has a cheap airport aerator that blasts tiny jets of water into the sink a high speed. Goodness forbid you put anything in the way of the jets, like your hands; the water will bounce off anything placed beneath the faucet and onto the bathroom sinktop... where it will pool because the top is *completely flat*.

The only solution is to use the precious towels to dry up the mess. Oh, and forget calling the front desk to get the towels replaced, because they will put you on an indefinite hold while the recorded message sarcastically hails you as a "valued customer". (Pro-tip: call again, the front desk ignores calls when busy and only respond to new ones when it quiets down.)

While you wait for room service that may or may not come, enjoy the pile of waterlogged, nasty towels each time you visit the bathroom: a constant reminder of Marriott's failure to design a functional bathroom.

First, we stay in a lot of Marriott properties so much so that we have Lifetime Platinum Elite status. So our basis of comparison is broad. This Residence Inn is meh. Not bad but, definitely not great. There are several key items missing in our room that are absolutely standard in every other Residence Inn we have stayed at: no dish sponge, dish towel or hot pad. If you ask that the front desk they look at you like you are crazy. Save yourself the trouble asking. Second, the couch was gross and stained. This definitely should not be for a property that is 5 years old. Third, the staff here is 50/50. It’s impossible to tell if you are going to get great customer service or be completely dismissed/ignored. It may have to do with how busy it is here. A lot of families with little kids, business people and young couples.

I do have to give it to housekeeping. Two rooms near us put out diaper boxes, bagged dirty diapers, and other assorted trash in the hallway nearly blocking the way. (Seriously people, at least double bag that stuff and take it directly to housekeeping). Anyway, Housekeeping was on it and cleaned up the piles of trash and sprayed something to cover the used diaper smell as soon as we reported it at the front desk.

So if you plan to stay here, recognize that this place is busy and used hard.

We are in DC frequently and we will stay at a different property next time.

The staff is very friendly, there was a front desk professional, Stacey Wynter who made the stay friendly and she was helpful- she made this hotel stand out.

The rooms were kept clean and house staff was great.

The issues were the price varied daily from an acceptable 219 ( not worth more) to 399!

The breakfast is standard ( not real eggs though)

I think the room was pleasant but the beds could be a bit thicker and better, as the couch.

Also you. An Drive by the hotel and miss it as street signage is lacking, as adequate drop off parking.

Get a good price and it works well , as the staff is the best thing about this hotel - pleasant- hopefully will get some better entry area and keep Ms. Wynter and the staff.

The hotel is well located and staff is friendly. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious. We had a one room suite and the pull out sofa was horrible. Thinner mattress than any I’ve ever seen on a sofa bed and the mattress was short in depth but long across so my adult son had to sleep across the mattress which was odd because then your head and feet are constrained by the arms of the sofa. I’ve never encountered one like that before. The bathroom was beautiful but impractical. The light switch was hidden behind the open door which made it difficult to use especially at night. The shower was very long and largely open air with about one half enclosed by glass which made it cold to shower and since there was no place to hang a towel on the glass or in the shower, you had to walk out of the shower to get a towel. Odd and again, cold. Bathroom sink faucet was similar to a rain head faucet. Lovely but again impractical! Water went everywhere when you washed your hands or brushed teeth. A designer had fun with all these finishes, but it made the bathroom difficult to use. Finally, we booked a room for 3 people and the room came with 2 sets of towels. No big deal to request more but annoying. Breakfast was fine. Hotel room was relatively quiet.

I wish I could answer that for you -- but this is very specific so I am guessing you're asking for accessibility information. Marriott is very helpful in this area. Just call the hotel directly and I know this team will find the information for you. Best wishes! Rhonda
