The hotel rooms are really small . As someone said in the elevator: this is bigger than the room. But the service is excellent( shouts outs to Michael and Ryan ) . They were informative and helpful, and friendly. Metro across the street ( red line) Parking is public around the block with a discount from the hotel. The 3 bars are good. Go to the rooftop for a great view. Didn’t try the restaurant but is was crowded at times . For morning coffee, go to Compass about a block and 1/2 away . Worth it Rooms are small but we would come back . Great location too.
My first visit to this hotel was in May 2018. The photos are from the rooftop bar taken back then. I travel for work and use this hotel every time I am in DC. I have stayed here no less than 6 times in 5 years. The ease of hopping on the Metro or walking to restaurants, sports arena, museums, or shopping the various stores is another reason I stay here. I have never been disappointed with the food. No matter if you eat on the roof, the main floor, or in the Whisky Bar. Lamek was my bartender several times during my stay and he did not disappoint. Always a smile even when it was very busy and literally running back and forth to accommodate everyone. When entering the hotel the staff is always very professional and attentive. Thank you Ollie (mgr.), Tru A., Marco S. (who made the best coffee at 5am, I really needed it), Ryan, and others that were always wonderful. Thanks Motto!!…
Great experience at this micro hotel and Marco was just wonderful. He was the friendliest, most welcoming and provided the best customer service all 5 days! Will surely be back and spread the word……..
Excellent customer service and friendly staff. Shout out to Ryan at the front desk who was very attentive to our needs and questions Loved the roof top bar. Great views and fun vibes. Rooms were small but very clean. You will spend your time on your bed since there is only one desk chair in the room. We spent no time in the room but to sleep , so it was no big deal to us.
Had a great time staff was soooo nice they really make you feel comfortable I couldn’t find it at first and they came out to the street to help me out close to all the hot spots and the White House had a great time
Immaculate rooms that were small but efficient Excellent customer service the front staff crew was super helpful Perfect location we walked to everything Trouble free parking close by Loved the bars Basement Whiskey was beautiful Loved the roof top bar too
Our positive experience started with a friendly encounter with the front desk staff, and continued through being highly satisficed with the room. Room was small, but not too small, practical and super clean. We were on the 10th floor, and were not disturbed by any street noise or noise from the hotel. The location is also hard to beat. Plusses were whiskey bar in the basement and ground floor cafeteria. We will definitely stay in the hotel again!
I would give this hotel a million stars if I could. I left an extremely sentimental item in my hotel room and was beside myself trying to figure out where it could be. The hotel has an ileftmystuff account that I used to submit my request and I called the hotel to speak to housekeeping. Carolyn from housekeeping knew about it and had already sent a message to the staff to see if anyone had found it. She then called an outside vendor multiple times to see if they had it and called me ON HER DAY OFF to tell me they did. She shipped it back to me and made sure I received it. She went above and beyond and I am so grateful to her and the Motto for such incredible support. The rest of the staff I interacted were incredible knowledgeable and friendly. My room was comfy and super clean. I used the gym and it had everything I needed. I will definitely stay there again and will recommend to friends looking for a place to stay in DC!! …
Well, I suppose hotel review first - our room was comfortable, hotel’s in a convenient location, they offer a discount for parking, and the attached restaurant + bar is great! They have live music on Saturdays, and a rooftop bar (though we didn’t make it up this time). But we especially want to thank Jess at the front desk. Jess is so friendly, so helpful, so patient…and has the best sense of humor. Really made a difference in our stay - THANKS JESS!
We checked in Friday evening, March 3, around 6pm. Using the digital key we bypassed the desk. Later we realized my daughter needed a physical room key so we went to the desk. The clerk, Try, was helping another person when we arrived. The gentleman seemed to have a misunderstanding relating to his arrival date. Tru repeatedly let him know there was nothing she could do for him and that he'd have to call Hilton. I had some sympathy for the gentleman as he had his wife and three small children with him. That said, he was understandably rather insistent to his plight. Tru kept telling him there was nothing she could do for him; he'd have to call Hilton. This went on for over 10 minutes. At no time did Tru ever lose her cool, speak in any negative tone to the gentleman, or seem in any way irritated with his persistence. When he finally left (hopefully to call Hilton) and I approached the counter, I told Tru she has "the patience of a saint." A couple of days later, I had to run an errand. When I returned, I realized I forgot my phone. When I said to Try "I have a problem" her response was "I can fix your problem" and she quickly programmed a physical key. Every time I saw Tru, she was smiling. She is a credit to the Hilton name (as is everyone I interacted with during this visit. Kind regards, Tom LaRoche …
