Hilton Club The District Washington D.C. enjoys a favorable location that guests love for its easy access to the Metro and nearby attractions, despite parking challenges. While opinions on the hotel's value are mixed due to extra parking fees and inconsistent dining experiences, travelers appreciate the cleanliness and the modern, comfortable ambiance of the hotel. Service experiences vary, with commendations for the breakfast and reception but dissatisfaction with bar service. The amenities, particularly the complimentary breakfast and evening drinks, along with spacious rooms, are popular, although some guests encounter Wi-Fi issues and desire more frequent housekeeping.

We just completed our 4th stay here in the last 3 years. We typically stay 3-5 nights each time and somehow -- incredibly -- each stay surpasses the previous one. The rooms at The District (which are the top floors within the Embassy Suites) were remodeled before our most recent visit, receiving new furniture, carpeting, dual large TVs.
Keeping everything fresh and comfortable isn't even the best part of staying here -- it's the staff. I don't know how they do it in today's labor market, but the customer service from the staff here is beyond description. Everyone (and I mean everyone all the way to housekeeping) is super-friendly, helpful, and just plain pleasant to be around. Special shout-outs to the restaurant and bar staff (you know who you are!), and to big Kevin who keeps everything humming smoothly in the lobby (and darn near most of the the hotel). Families will love the incredible breakfast buffet (featuring made-to-order omelettes) and of course the pool. (Insider tip: the small market called "Streets" directly across 22nd from the hotel entrance isn't small like it appears; it's actually is a full-grocery store with produce, deli, and anything you could need.)
The District has to be the best buy in DC for the comfort and roominess of its rooms at this price point, the fantastic hotel staff, and the location (safe, walkable neighborhood with tons of restaurants and choice of Foggy Bottom or DuPont Circle Metro stops). Cannot recommend this highly enough. We're already scheduling a return 5th visit!

This was our first stay at The District, where I had purchased a week inexpensively on the resale market. This stay was booked through RCI before I had made that purchase and I had not contacted the resort prior to our check in, but they nevertheless recognized us as owners there and gave us access to the Owners Lounge and the improved WiFi connections.

The rooms at The District are on the small side for timeshare units and have minimal kitchenette facilities (Kuerig coffeemaker, microwave, wet bar sink, and wine cooler/fridge), but that's not really why I bought the week or how we plan to use it. The District is located within a 10 minute walk from the Dupont Circle metro station on the red line and another 15 minutes or so to the Kennedy Center. It's within easy walking distance of a number of restaurants in the Dupont Circle and Georgetown areas and can be booked for a single night for owners or as few as 3 nights via RCI when available there. This makes it a great choice for people living in the area for visiting D.C. for a show at the Kennedy Center or spending a weekend in the Nation's capitol.

The unit had great water pressure in the shower, which was a nice walk in and intelligently laid out.

We never actually used the in-room coffee maker because we had access to the Owners Lounge, but there was a selection of pods provided for it. In the Owners Lounge there was a larger Keurig coffeemaker with a larger selection of pods and a Nespresso Gemini espresso maker that we wound up using. Due to COVID, breakfast for owners was only available in the Embassy Suites lobby, though you could bring it upstairs. There was a nightly happy hour in the Owners Lounge from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with cans of wine from Bridge Lane and bottles of Port City beer left out on the counter in addition to the waters/sodas/juices available throughout the day. There were also packaged cheese and crackers, hummus, and guacamole during happy hour in addition to the packaged chips and cookies available throughout the day. The lounge was sparsely used, perhaps due to lower occupancy by owners for the weekend we were there (Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day weekend).

The only ding on the unit is that it's equipped with only 4 wine glasses and 4 water glasses and a roll of paper towels, so if you are staying more than one night there isn't a convenient way to clean a glass you use. I'm sure they would have provided clean ones if I had asked, but we didn't.

the hotel is well located near DuPont Circle and GWU. The ride from Washington National by taxi was under $ 25 including tip - the walk to Foggy Bottom Metro is about ten min. There as plenty of food outlets close bye - across the street is a great small shop - Whole Foods and Trader Joe's near bye. Rooms are very comfortable and the made to order free breakfast and evening "happy hour" is free as well

The District by Hilton Club offered a modern, spacious one bedroom suite. There was a restaurant/bar on site and we were offered free, hot, breakfast as well as free happy hour cocktails every day. The location was about a 10 minute walk to the Metro, which made travel to all parts of the city convenient, even without a car.

We stayed at The District by Hilton Club during spring break 2021. This was our first time going away since COVID-19. We felt very comfortable staying here because of the level of service we have experienced in the past.

The location was fantastic! We were able to walk to and from all the monuments, memorials and the cherry blossoms. The walk was easy and definitely doable for all families.

The safety protocols put in place by the hotel made us feel comfortable staying here. I felt confident that everything was being cleaned with care and that the hotel was very mindful of the safety of all hotel guests.

The staff that we encountered were all fantastic. The 8th floor check-in staff in particular were all courteous, knowledgeable and very customer focused. We were impressed with the level of care of all on-site staff that we encountered during our stay. Even the cleaning staff were mindful to move to the side when guests were walking past. It's the little things that guests remember, especially during these times and we very much appreciated the courtesy and care.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at The District by Hilton Club. Due to the pandemic, there were many safety protocols in place which we appreciated. We felt safe during our stay. The accommodations were excellent. There is a small refrigerator that easily fit a tall milk carton, an assortment of snacks, beverages and lunch supplies. We brought a cooler for lunches and a couple of dinners. Breakfast to go bags were available each morning with hot breakfast sandwich, fruit, yogurt, and beverage. There was also a microwave, Keurig, and a small set of plates, glasses and silverware. There is also a sink
in this area. There are so many restaurants close by and a small grocery right across the street. The suite was comfortable and clean. Parking is expensive on site but there are some nearby lots that are a little less costly. Shout out to Christa, Yesica, and Robert who were so welcoming and helpful. We will look forward to coming back!

My stay at the District was very enjoyable. The hotel was clean and observed COVID safety protocols. It is located in a central location that allowed us to easily walk or Uber around. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast and snacks. The check-in area was always well stocked with treats, fresh masks and wipes. I appreciated the focus on safety. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to enjoy the D.C area.

I stayed here for 6 nights and my stay was absolutely amazing. Check in was swift, the staff are so friendly and professional.

The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to two metro stations; foggy bottom and DuPont Circle. There is a street market store opposite the hotel where you can shop for groceries.

So, a few things to note: The hotel occupies the same building as the Embassy Suites. The District occupies the 7th - 9th floors and the rooms are suites; living room, kitchenette and bedroom. Check in for The District is on the 8th floor.

All the guest eat breakfast together, on the first floor. Breakfast is very basic so don’t expect to be wowed. Rooms get cleaned every 3 days but ample supplies are stocked in the rooms and you can also call for extras. The room has everything.

I really enjoyed staying here and will definitely stay here again whenever I visit DC.

We had. Very nice stay here. The neighborhood is nice, staff is very welcoming, units are very clean and have everything you need. Make sure to leave time to walk around Georgetown a bit!

A few helpful hints: you can request dishes and silverware, the included hot breakfast and happy hour are excellent value for money additions.

Had a comfortable and nice stay!
