Detailed Reviews
This B&B offers luxury accommodation and harbour views to discerning guests who enjoy privacy and seclusion with the charm and character of an elegant home.
The rooms are elevated each with their own spacious balcony with beautiful outlooks through the bushy garden to the harbour. My wife was thoroughly impressed with the rooms decor and everything was beautiful quality with plenty of space for a very comfortable stay.
The bed gave great sleeps and the ensuite bathroom was luxurious and had an excellent shower.
It was so nice to sit on the balcony in the warm evening drinking wine with the doors open and let a gentle breeze through.
A full continental breakfast which was delivered to our room was absolutely delicious and it gave us the opportunity to sit on the balcony and enjoy a leisurely start to the day.
The hosts were friendly and welcoming but did not bother or crowd us which allowed us all the privacy we needed.
A great stay, we would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, it's simply superb!

Thank you for your kind comments about Eleven Stanley Place. Really pleased you enjoyed your stay with us, and you were able to explore Akaroa and the Peninsula before heading home. Best wishes to you both, and hopefully, see you again next year.

Discovering Eleven Stanley Place was like discovering a piece of Paradise. The perfect hideaway to complement our destination wedding/Mum's birthday in Akaroa. Christine and Steve are amazing hosts who definitely went the extra mile to ensure that our stay was one we will never forget. The attention to detail is second to none - extremely comfortable beds, luxurious linen, homemade cookies, fresh fruit, bottle of wine on arrival, fresh flowers and special touches such as the flower on the face-cloth and the fresh leaves and lemon on the bath mat. Not to mention the delicious (and plentiful) continental breakfast enjoyed sitting out on the balcony with spectacular views and accompanying bird song - magic! We will definitely be back.
Thank you Christine and Steve for making our stay so special.

We love Akaroa and staying at Eleven Stanley Place was the icing on the cake. Christine and Steve were the perfect hosts from start to finish, from welcome drinks in the evening to delicious breakfast delivered to our room every morning, which we enjoyed on the spacious balcony of our room over looking the harbour and enjoying the bird song. The standard is Five Star all the way with amazing attention to detail together with lots of little extras like dreamy linen on the beds, complimentary wine in the fridge, homemade cookies that we're to die for, fresh flowers in the room and little springs of lavendar or rosemary with baby limes in the bathroom that was one of my favourite touches.
Steve and Christine are a great team and are full of good suggestion on things to do in the area, it was a short pleasant 10 minute walk along the water into town for dinner and an even nicer one back in the moonlight. It's a long way from home but we do look forward to staying again in the future and recommend it highly!!!

Lovely Akaroa is a must see on any visit to the South Island and staying at Eleven Stanley Place definitely added to our enjoyment. My husband and I stayed there with my sister and her husband and we all loved it. Our room ( Lavaud) was slightly larger than my sisters but both were equally charming with wonderfully comfortable beds, luxurious en-suite bathrooms and our own private balconies.
Christine and Steve were very welcoming and only too happy to offer advise on where to go and things to do on the South Island. They have obviously put a lot of thought into making their guests comfortable. Especially liked those "extra touches" - handmade soaps, extra large fluffy towels, quality bedlinens and complimentary wine and chocolates when we arrived.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The South Island of New Zealand is absolutely breathtaking and Akaroa is the jewel in it's crown with a beautiful harbour, delightful shops and fabulous restaurants. Eleven Stanley Place is the perfect place to stay in Akaroa - stunning views of the harbour, peaceful location, fabulous bedlinen and towels and delicious breakfast. Everything is beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Simply the best B&B we have ever stayed in.

We had a lovely stay here and it fully met our expectations.
The room was spacious, beautifully furnished with lots of lovely touches including fresh flowers and cookies.
The breakfast was delivered fresh each morning and eaten on the balcony overlooking Akaroa harbour with it's stunning views.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful but not intrusive at all.

We got married in Akaroa and spent a couple of nights at Eleven Stanley Place which was just incredible. The room, view and breakfast are all beautiful and the service was faultless. Christine and Steve were a pleasure to deal with and we wish we could have stayed in their tranquil B&B for longer. We will definitely be back again soon to soak up the serenity and enjoy a delicious breakfast on the private balcony.

Had a fantastic few days in Akaroa. It is a charming little place with lovely shops and restaurants. The nature harbour cruise is amazing. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, albatross, penguin and seals. Visit the Giant's house, very colourful and uplifting. Steve and Christine are fabulous hosts for whom nothing is too much. Akaroa is definitely worth a visit and if you want to be spoilt stay at Eleven Stanley Place. You won't be disappointed.

It is hard to imagine a more beautiful place to stay. Christine and Steve are perfect hosts, and our accommodation in this enviably located, stylish and comfortable house (which they designed and built) was superb – such a joy to wake up to the sound of the Tuis, walk out through the patio doors and lean on the balcony overlooking the stunning Akaroa Harbour. Every aspect showed detail focus and quality, and the experience was enhanced by small touches that showed considerate thought. Breakfast was a delight, and we were sorry to have to leave. A class act.

Our visit to Akaroa was made complete by our stay here. The hosts were warm and friendly, and the rooms furnished to a very high standard. We also enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine and the home made biscuits. Thank you, we will be visiting again!
