We stayed for 2 nights and were made really welcome by Paul who was a most considerate and helpful host in every way.
Our room was comfortable and well appointed and the property is within walking distance of the lovely little town of Akaroa, albeit up a steep hill. The views from the property are quite stunning!
We had a look around the well designed garden which is stuffed full of interesting plants.
Paul was a very interesting host and gave us advice on where to eat and where to visit on our short stay.
Don't look any further for a short stay in Akaroa, you won't be disappointed.

We arrived at Chez Fleurs after spending a lovely day exploring the quaint historic town of Akaroa. This delightful B&B is within easy walking distance of town and restaurants. We received a warm welcome and were given a beautiful room opening onto a sunny deck with lovely views over Akaroa and bay. The breakfast next morning was delicious and Paul is a natural, welcoming, host with plenty of knowledge on local attractions. We would highly recommend this B&B for comfort quality and friendliness.

My husband and I and my sister stayed here as our first stop on a four week tour. It was the most expensive place we stayed but we had two bedrooms, a shared bathroom and toilet and a laundry room plus a large verandah. The breakfasts were lovely and when we returned to our rooms every afternoon we found fresh lemon and ice in the fridge for my husband and sister's G & T! Now that's service!

Jan and Paul made us very welcome and Paul booked us on a brilliant boat trip where we saw Hectors Dolphins and Blue Penguins. Akaroa is quite an expensive place to stay but it was a great place to get over our jet lag and ease into our two thousand mile trip! Would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely room with great views. Our hosts could not have been more friendly or helpful. It was almost a relief not to have a cooked breakfast. The continental breakfast supplied was truly excellent. The gardens have to be seen to be believed. The best B & B we have stayed in so far.

We stayed for two nights in March, Paul is a very good host, offering helpful advice on what to do in Akaroa including fabulous boat trip to see the Hector dolphins, he also produced some excellent breakfasts. The location is good, just a couple on minutes up from the waterfront and five minutes from bars and restaurants. The room was a little small although there was a walk in wardrobe and a full sized fridge, we thought it reasonable to good value for money but eating and accommodation in Akaroa is generally more expensive than in other parts of NZ, possibly due to its isolation and short season, but on a sunny day (which we had) there isn't a more beautiful place to be, not to be missed.

Chez Fleurs is up a hill off the main street, a 5 minute walk, the hosts are friendly. Nice view from the breakfast room, less so from our bedroom. Akaroa is small but a real highlight of the Banks peninsula.

Excellent stay at this location. Jan and Paul were so accomodating as our plane was late arriving into NZ. They recommended places to eat, provided us with a map and recommended shopping too. The room was nice, with electric matress pad to turn on and keep warm. American travelers - we weren't prepared for lack of central heating. We traveled in May which is fall in NZ, and were fine, but had to get used to space heaters and fireplaces. This place had a space heater and electric matress pad to keep us cozy. And great fluffy towels and heated towl rack in our bathroom.

The next morning, breakfast was scrumptous! And again, the hosts were wonderful - they even gave us a better map and marked a suggested route to Queenstown. We were sad to only have had one night here.

We really enjoyed our 2-night stay at Chez Fleurs B&B in Akaroa. We reserved the Le Jardin Suite with queen bed in one room ad 2 twin beds in the other with an ensuite bathroom & a small private balcony outside with views of Akaroa Harbour. The gardens surrounding the property were lovely. Jan & Paul were marvelous hosts even assisting us with tour bookings and accommodating us with an early breakfast the morning we departed for Dunedin. The only two things we could have wished for was a little bigger space in the room with the queen-sized bed to better fit our luggage, though, the room with the twin beds (for our 2 children) was more than amply big, and an alarm clock to ensure meeting our tour reservations.
The location was excellent in the center of town, just a couple minutes walk up the hill from the main road. Of course, this short walk up the hill gives you an even better view of Akaroa Harbour.

Paul was a fabulous host. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. We didn't take up the breakfast. Walking distance to the township if you don't mind a walk back up a smith street is easy. Lovely view from the balcony. Good choice for a short stay in Akaroa.
