Stayed four nights at the Qubus hotel and found it a comfortable convenient base for exploring the city, being directly across the river from the Jewish Quarter, and about ten minutes walk from the Schindler factory and the Museum of Contemporary Art. Also, being at one end of the major Starowislna Street, it's very well served by a constant stream of trams to take you directly into the edge of the old town.

The hotel had the feel of a business or airport hotel. Everything worked smoothly and efficiently. Rooms were decidedly compact but not cramped. Ours had a river view (extra charge) which also came with slight overnight disturbance by trams rumbling over the bridge. Electronic room safe always a welcome inclusion and coffee making facilities, though unfortunately the coffee was pretty undrinkable. There was also a mini-bar. Bathroom was very clean, with plenty of towels. The shower was set inside a bath with very high sides. I can see that might cause problems for anyone elderly or with reduced mobility.

The gym and pool/health suite areas were clean and well maintained and quite popular early evening, which made the small locker/changing room somewhat cramped and only really comfortable for about two people at a time.

The hotel is rightly proud of its Breakfast Of 100 Things, served in a spacious dining room on the ground floor. Copious varieties of breads, meat, cheeses and fresh fruits and juices. Coffee was very good and there was a wide variety of teas available. I thought the hot food section let the side down slightly, being relatively limited (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, a few veggies) and not very hot, even at 7am. And the early morning diet of stale American rock music may not be to everybody's taste.

Special thanks to the barman who took the trouble to write us down a couple of restaurant recommendations. We followed these up and were very grateful. Good choices!

I would be more than happy to stay here again on my next visit to Krakow.

We were wary the hotel was a 30 min walk to the main square but it didn’t matter as taxis are cheap and there are plenty of restaurants near the hotel and it is near Schindler’s Factory and other tourist spots. Nice pool and jacuzzi area which is lovely after walking around all day in the cold. There is also a steam room which wasn’t advertised but was nice, although there were queues for them at peak time in the evening so we couldn’t always use them. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a big tv. There were not any toiletries in the bathroom though as you would expect for a 4* hotel. We also ordered room service on one day and the food was cold and undercooked which you wouldn’t expect. Overall a nice stay and would consider again.

Just stayed here for 3 nights, to visit Krakow Xmas Market, Staff freindly and helpful, rooms are comfortable, Reception staff were very helpful with us as our Auschwitz tour was cancelled last min, the hotel do not offer tours but they tried to call other companies to get us a tour, Unfortunately this is a popular tour and we was not able to visit Auschwitz due to being fully booked so we will return to visit this place.
Only negative thing for us was as its December we were expecting a Christmas feel to the hotel, as other hotels in the area were decorated with trees and sparkly lights etc, There is nothing in the hotel, not even a Christmas tree there are only small centre peices in the middle of the tables.
Location is OK, close to Schindlers Factory and the local shopping centre.
However for the old town and main square it is about a 30 -40 Minute walk, and we are not slow walkers, however, Taxis are readily available. However we walked the distance of the London Marathon in 3 days 😁.
Breakfast was good, cleaning good with a good selection of food, mask wearing required throughout the hotel and dining areas.
There is no entertainment at the hotel, But there are a few bars dotted locally, We never got around to using the gym/Swimming areas, so we can not comment on these.
Overall I would recommend this Hotel for quality & location.

Long review but worth it!!

We stayed 8 nights at the hotel. Supposed to be free cancellation, after first night when we wanted to change the hotel, they said we can only get 50% money back.
Paper coffee cups in the room, we called to ask for ceramic ones, miss from reception wanted to charge us 20zl (for empty cup).

Air con doesn’t work even after change the room, and rooms are super hot so good luck to stay in the summer. Good location, however very loud because of it, when you want some fresh air, due to air conditioner doesn’t work- hard to sleep.

Rooms very small, bathroom standard literally like premier inn, breakfast average- fried eggs looks like they spent a week on the counter.

The worse however was the situation when we find member of stuff in our room, without letting us know. We were outside and my partner came back, noticed opened door and member of stuff said he’s “looking for a leak”!! We also had a “don’t disturb” card on the door this day. When we asked in reception if they can explain the situation, young man said he will check in the book, but he hasn’t found any information.

For this price you can get much better standard with nice, helpful stuff

Dear Kingamilan, Thank you very much for taking the time to offer a review following your stay. I am very saddened to hear about all inconvenience you have described and first of all I would like to apology on behalf of Qubus Hotel Team for the situation appeared. I am very sorry about what happened and I know that there is no excuse for entering Guest's room without their permission and this is situation highly unusual for us but let me just mention that there is a few employees who just started their hospitality career and they are not fully experienced yet. I would like to ensure you that we do our best to teach them with best practices as soon as possible. I have already shared your comments with our Team so we could prevent such situations in the future. Once more I would like to apology and ask for your understanding. I will also take this opportunity to write a few words about room equipment. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 restrictions we are still not allowed to equip rooms with ceramic cups or any other dishes, only disposable ones are allowed as standard furnishings. However you can still enjoy coffee in ceramic cups at the restaurant or in the lobby bar. In case you would like order one to your room or you wish to have anything delivered your room it is additional cost of 20 PLN for room service and it is standard hotel procedure. I am sorry if you find room service fee too high for you. Please be informed that we have wide variety of room types and they are all described on the website. You can choose the one that best suit your needs at the time of booking or upgrade to a higher category at the time of check in and enjoy more space and upgraded amenities. Once more I would like to thank you for sharing all your comments, as without constructive criticism we are unable to constantly monitor and improve our level of guest satisfaction and attention do detail. I do hope that we will have the opportunity to serve you better in the future. Feel more than welcome. Yours sincerely, Jarosław Gbyl General Manager

Stayed for a mid week break at the end of November. The Hotel is lovely and I would definitely recommend it. We stayed on a B&B basis. I've never stayed anywhere where there was such a great selection of food for breakfast. Fantastic choice.
The hotel is conviently placed for the old town, Heroe's square, Schindler factory,Tram stops to new town or if you wanted to walk into the new town it's about 20-30 minutes.

We booked a trip to Auschwitz and Auschwitz Birkenau directly through the tourist shop in the Hotel. I contacted them back in August via email. They were so helpful with arranging the trip and helpful with directions, places to eat etc. We had a lift directly from our hotel to both sites and a lift back again. There were 3 other people in our car so not too much driving around. The hotel provided a packed lunch as we would have missed breakfast and there was loads to eat so all good.

All in all a fantastic stay. The only thing that let this place down was the surly Receptionists. Not a smile in them with the exception of one young lady. However, still a great place to stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Nice modern hotel with really good restuarant, staff extreemly pleasant and helpful.
Big downside is the guests, there seems to be a high reluctance to either social distance, use sanitiser or wear masks to help reduce the spread of Covid19. The staff all wear masks, there is signs and sanitiser everywhere, the staff are even handing out masks as you enter the restuarant but the extreemly rude guests just stick the masks in their pocket with no regard to the safety of the lovely staff. Such a shame. We were recently in Lanzarote, there no mask no service! I afraid its easy to see why this pandemic is on the rampage.

This hotel was supurb. It was so modern, rooms spacious and staff were all amazing.
The buffet breakfast was amazing every morning with so much choice.
The rooms were cleaned daily.
The swimming pool, jacuzzi steam room and sauna was a delight to use and kept immaculately.
It's location is about a 15-20 minute walk to the square but a taxi is only 18 zloty

Qubus Krakow was booked for 2 nights by the tour agency that we joined. We had dinner there upon arrival. The Salmon dish was nicely presented. Chocolate cake dessert is moist and sweet. But what made the difference is the excellent customer service I received. Upon entering our room, the make up room tag was on the bed, so I hang it inside the door knob. (I had a bad experience with the previous hotel for not making up our room - see my Leonardo Royal Hotel Warsaw review for details). I needed some toiletries and the bathroom notice stated that I may obtain them at the front desk. When I approached this gentleman stationed at the front desk, he was very courteous and accommodating, taking a variety of toiletries and putting them in a bag for me. The next day, while out on a tour, I realized that the make up room tag was left inside, so I tried calling the hotel. While I have a data plan on my phone, I was technically challenged and my call can’t get through. So I used the email I found on the website to state I need our room cleaned. What amazed me is instantaneous response asking which location I am booked with. I replied Krakow, followed with the address. Within a few minutes the reply was that my request has been forwarded to the hotel. I kept my fingers crossed that this hotel got the email and did what I asked for. Upon arrival that evening, our room was made! BTW, see my review on Leonardo Royal Hotel-Warsaw which was a bad experience. Breakfast the next morning is great as well… plenty of fruits, a wide variety of cheese and bread, yogurt, salmon lux, coffee machine etc. I wanted to attach a video, but only photos can be attached here. This is another amenities- a kid’s play area that Qubus has which fascinated me. I strongly recommend Qubus hotel chain.

The Qubus hotel is set next to the river on the edge of the Jewish ghetto. It’s a couple of minutes walk to the heroes square and about ten minutes from Schindler Factory. The tram to Wawel castle takes about 10 minutes and costs less than a pound. The hotel is very modern with a spacious lobby bar area. The rooms are well set out and it’s worth paying the extra for a river view. The swimming pool is on the top floor and has great views of the city. The hotel is very clean and well kept and the staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast has everything you could ever want and is plentiful. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel.
